Doesn't work at all anymore. Always says "Request Create Error There was a problem creating your request, please try again." Make sure you type specifically what is wrong in the Additional Information field, the city's workers never see the pictures. Worst 311 app I've ever used. The good ones let you take a picture of the problem as soon as you open them, automatically record your position, and let you optionally submit more information so you can get on with your day. This one makes you go through multiple mandatory pages and the very last one asks for a picture so you can't go anywhere until you are done. No wonder few people use it. Often gives me the error "Request Create Error" "There was a problem creating your request, please try again." Sometimes that means a ticket was opened, so if I try again I'll open a duplicate one. Other times the only way to get rid of that error is to remove the picture. If you add three pictures to a ticket, there is no way to remove any of them when that error pops up, you have to start over from scratch. Every picture I submit gets rotated 90 degrees. You have to have an Internet connection to submit issues. It can't queue up multiple issues to submit next time you are on wifi. Clicking on old issues to see their status often crashes the app. I got a call from one of the city's workers about a ticket, turns out they only get a printout of the ticket with some of the information I've entered and no pictures.

The app is what you would expect from an app put out by the city. It crashes a lot. It's slow. It's ridgid. want to report something and don't know the address within a few buildings? Not gonna happen! If you're used to See Click Fix and are hoping for a similar experience disappointment is what you'll be able to report. Maybe I can grease the palm of my alderman an get the real version of the app?

Request Type Search produces no results when I search "pothole", the ability to upload pictures from the camera or the gallery doesn't work, but outside of that I'm still able to use the app to submit my report. The convenience of searching needs to be addressed and the optional but essential ability to include pictures should be a priority to fix. Feature request amid bug fixes: have the ability to include photos in a report after it has been submitted.

Unable to open the app at all. I get an error message "unable to connect, check your network connection." My network connection is fine; I'm connecting to everything else. I tried it on both Wi-Fi and cellular. Same message. I have been getting this message for the last 3 days from various locations in the city. I made sure that my app was updated to the most recent version - still unable to access it.

I'd like it a lot better if it didn't crash CONSTANTLY. Also, as another reviewer pointed out, waiting until the last page to allow photo submission is ridiculous. If you're trying to report, say, a low-flying plane, by the time you get to that page, the plane is long gone.

Kind of a trash app. Every time I try to submit a fully filled out form it kicks back an error with no explanation. So I submit again. Several times. Eventually I give up. 20 minutes later I get 7 emails that the "failed" submissions all went through. How embarrassing. No real communication about status or determination of requests, and the "estimated time to complete" is hilarious.

Requests are easy. I like the process and ease to report a problem. My requests are always flagged as experiencing an error / failed to submit - but if I wait a minute I get the confirming email. In addition, I have seen numerous requests that indicate they have been completed but are not. Most of my requests are completed but many have not been.

Good intentions, but the UX is horrible. You can't paste into the SR field of the app. You are forced to type every digit, one at a time. Resetting password forces you to the actual web site instead of being handled in the app. The password field is not marked as such so it is not compatible with LastPass.

off to a good start. when you create account, wait for verification email before trying to log in for the first time. great visibility to see what has been reported so city can avoid duplicate requests. look forward to future updates (being able to see pictures of requests in details). nice job.

I tried to write a complaint for an alley light not working it requires put the address which I have but the page seems to be frozen on that page. I did reinstall the app to see maybe it was a glitch unfortunately going through the same process or several similar process in making a complaint it freezes when I get to the page put in the address (Samsung 8+) I was really hoping to use the app unfortunate today was a disappointment hopefully you could repair this issue soon thanks

Updated review: Address selection is much better. However, I encounter errors with every submitted request that says to try again. I've learned to ignore this, as it has resulted in duplicate requests. After getting the error, I check my email to find it was submitted after all.

This app is amazing. I normally shy away from reporting public works issues because I am fearful of long bureaucratic processes, but this app took all of the friction out of the experience! The interface is super intuitive, it is responsive and I was able to easily submit and track a request.

When the app worked its great. I was happy to see Chicago investing in new services to help residents better work with the overwhelming bureaucracy of Chicago departments. However, some tickets I created were closed with the claim that they were resolved or were a duplicate. Furthermore, the latest app update now just closes any time I try to create a new ticket. Provide source ticket tracking, consistent photo uploading, and definition of obtuse ticket categories. Works after reinstalling app!

I'm able to take pictures of any graffitti on business or schools, etc. and report it. Any down signs in Chicago, stoplights damaged, broken glass. It's not normal I'll able to send off the issue to them directly. Then they will issue a number and give me an email notice that it had been taken care of. Other people ask does this app work, Yes, It does. I was able to help my bank with large dirty word on their building. We got it taken care of. Due to no one checked the outside or reported it.

Can't create any service requests. Gis database won't load and manually typing the location doesn't let you proceed to next step. Don't bother downloading - 2 star review is generous. Website is the same way. What a joke city services has become. It's the best idea : Can't claim anything wrong with the city if there aren't any reported issues! Find people with backbone and pedigree to uphold quality in delivering services to residents.

The app is super easy to use, even if you're not so great with technology! The interface is very clean and easy to navigate. I like the ability to see what other people have submitted in your neighborhood. I was going to submit a pothole request, but I didn't need to because BAM! It was already there! This will save the city a lot of time and money in the end and hopefully speed up the process of handling requests. Great app and a great idea for the city!

This app sucks. The only reason I downloaded it in the first place is because nobody is picking up at 311. And then it makes me jump through all these hoops to create a login and then won't even let me log in. Deserves a big fat ZERO. Wonder how much of city tax dollars were used to develop this colossal waste of time.

App doesn't work anymore. I wanted to request a tree trimming after a storm and it hasn't worked in weeks. I uninstalled and reinstalled and still doesn't work. When I open it, it says check network connection and try again. Great job Lori

I downloaded the app a few weeks. Finally set up the account today, had an error "confirming email" I logged in to submit a complaint,however when i was finalizing it,i received an error message.attempted to submit 3 more times and received an error message each time. Than I received 4 emails confirming my complaint🤷🏽‍♀️. Hope that gets fixed soon.

I created an account. Verified through email and was not able to sign in. I created a report without an account but when I went to follow the report I was told to sign in. Still unable to do so. Have created 3 accounts with 3 different email addresses and can't log into any of them. Very disenchanting.

On my phone, it is still impossible to login with an existing 311 account. The login button navigates externally to 311.chicago.gov. Once you login to the website it jumps back to app where you are still not logged in. The app's account login feature is completely useless right now on my device.

The address fields when I edited my accout have default capitals for city (after each letter is typed, the keyboard defaults to capitalization again), but not state. Otherwise a useful way to report an issue and quick turnaround on service requested.

Installed the APP last year. But I cannot use ot for the past 6 months. When I navigate to the Log In screen, it stays blank, I cannot typy in my credentials anywhere. I cleared memory and reinstall the APP, nothing will bring the login screen. Using Galaxy S10, Android ver 10

I only downloaded the app to track progress of a service request and it can't even do that. I had to reenter the request number each time because the app clears my following list everytime I close it. It seems like it was created less for convenience and more for data aggregation.

the sign up process seemed pretty seamless, however you need to close the app and restart when you want to log in for the first time. The app let me file my requests. It even let me add pictures, however only three. It gave me a report number, and an estimated time for the request to be solved. So far the app looks good.

Just created an account, verified my email and it's telling me that my password is incorrect. During the sign up process I got an error and it failed to specify what was wrong. I eventually figured out that you can't have special characters in the password.

I just installed the app, created a new account, and requested rodent bait for the entire alley in just 5 minutes. I had zero issues, everything worked perfectly with the app. Now here's hoping that the city actually comes and puts rodent bait in the alley. At least I have a ticket and can see if they mark it done.

App is very glitchy. When you go to submit a request, you get a message that the request cannot be processed at that time and to try again. So you try again, then wind up with multiple requests. You also can't see details of requests after you submit it, nor can you see details for why it was closed, just that it was closed.

Doesn't really work. Wonder how much I paid for this in taxes. Logging into this app is annoying. It brings you to an external web page and wouldn't take my credentials. The search function doesn't work. It's pretty wack.

Really bad app. Hard to use. Constantly puts user in a loop of logging in and searching for any service request. Overall cheap and thrown together. But, no real surprise there.
