The app doesn't allow me to access the magazine even though I am a digital subscriber. I am cancelling the subscription

Absolute trash. Do not even bother. It doesn't work. I'm so angry I was a big enough sucker to bother subscribing.

Can not download an issue. Can't change password. Not a good app.

Paid for 1 year subscription through Google Play. Still have to pay for individual issues to be downloaded to tablet. This makes no sense. Why subscribe!?!

The Chicago Magazine app for Android FINALLY works! You are now able to read the print magazine via the app. It's still a little clunky, which is why I didn't rate it higher, but it's lightyears ahead of what came before. Note that the app DOES work for print subscribers - you just have to register once and then the issues are available for downloading.

I called Chicago Magazine and they were able to reset my account and now I have access. So far it looks good. I wish it had the ability to pinch and zoom for smaller tablets.

Painfully slow. Loses connections. Hangs. Anyone of the 3 is enough to not use it.

I searched for this app a few weeks ago and it wasn't even there, so the fact that it exists now is at least something. Unfortunately, it need a lot of work. There's a bar across the top of the app with 6 or 7 buttons: hitting CHICAGO seems to take you to the main page - but I only see one article. I can access several other articles by tapping Sections. So things are there. However, tapping Magazine does nothing at all. Same for Chicago Feed and @Chicagomag. Nothing. I received a network error on more than one occasion. The app is very sluggish, and does nothing to replicate the feel of flipping through the actual magazine. Lastly, I couldn't back my way out of the app, I had to force close it. I hope the developers continue to work on this, as I love the magazine and would like to see this improve. But for now, it's pretty worthless.

I'd give it 'ZERO' stars if I could. I have been a print subscriber for many years. I was thrilled when I saw ads in the Chi. Trib. about the digital edition. What a joke. The app locks up my tablet. I keep getting the 'not ready for prime time message' that another reviewer mentioned. Efforts to create an account fail - every time. EMails to the publishers (the magazine is owned by the Trib. Co.) go unanswered. This is another example of old line print media trying to make itself relevant - and survive - in a digital age. I value the idea of editors controlling content (otherwise you get the Yelp type of reviews) but all they are doing is hurting themselves with digitally savvy readers by putting out such a horrible, buggy and frustrating product. I am uninstalling it.

Don't send me a postcard for alternative delivery to my subscription if it does not work!

Content requires paid subsc. Poorly organized and hard to work. Not worth the effort. Will uninstall.

This immediately started and tells you it's a test not for Play Store release. Too bad they debt me a postcard telling me to download it.
