Chicago Works

Previously used this on iPhone with no issues. Just downloaded it to report some graffiti and I can't do anything because it's telling me I need to enter my email address to report anything. But my email address is in the field. There is no way to report any bugs or get back to the developers with issues. Also, when I installed it just now, I paid the $1.99 to remove ads, but then uninstalled the app in hopes of dealing with this email glitch. When I reinstalled, it didn't retain my paid status.

Had trouble submitting a street light related problem report, so I did what the app suggested - I deleted the app and re-installed it. Now when I try to submit a report, the app keeps saying I have to install my email address, even though I have filled out the User Info form. If you really want this system to work, make sure somebody can actually use it!

Crappy app. It keeps asking me to add my email. It does not accept service requests and instead takes me back to write my email. Then the app locates me in the 31st ward when I am a resident of the 36th Ward. I decided to paying the $1.99 thinking it would work better but not. It continued doing the same. I uninstalled and reinstalled but continued with the problem. There is no apparent way to request assistance with the problem other than reviewing the app.

I purchased "Remove Ads" ($1.99) in Mar 2018. I reset my phone then reinstalled this app. It's asking me to pay $1.99 again to remove the ads. I'm using the same Google account I bought the app with. My other previously purchased apps showed up as "ads free". This Chicago Works 311 app wants users to pay $1.99 again during reinstalls. Scammy.

THIS IS NOT THE APP YOU'RE LOOKING FOR. THE APP YOU WANT IS CHI 311. A cursory Google search led me to this app, and unfortunately I paid for the ad-free version before discovering what other users have stated here: the app just repeatedly asks you to submit your email address, doesn't seem to retain the info once you do so, and doesn't allow you to submit reports. But here's the thing: I don't know whether this is a copycat or an obsolete version but this is not the functional Chicago 311 app.

Zero stars if I could. Useless app. Doesn't work. DON'T PAY THE $1.99! Tried uninstalling & installing again - didn't help. Bugs never fixed & developer(s) don't seem to care. 👎👎

trying to report a pothole but it keeps asking for my email address. I enter and save it but it still asks for it. trash app. you have the nerve to ask for $1.99 to remove ads on top of the app. it working? hahaha

Horrible useless app. Had a report over 200 weeks old and no option to ask for update or status. Unable to aprt Report section just a bumch of random reports no where near my area. This thing is far from usable

Doesn't work. Won't let me submit a request for service and just keeps asking for my already provided email information.

Made 2 different reports with different pictures. Over a week later both have duplicate of another picture. One report was called in on 311 3weeks ago. Removed app and reinstated. No change. False hope!

Latest version simply does not work at all. See the review from Johaza below... Also, doesn't seem to remember that you bought the add free version when you switch devices.

It no longer submits properly. Ad interferes and there is no confirmation that it works or not, and sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it works but with no confirmation and then if you go to another app and back to this app it how's your unsubmitted report to submit again... So you can resubmit the same thing 10 times not knowing what's happening.

Quite simple way to submit 311 reports. I did use it for graffiti report and the graffiti was removed quickly. Also very responsive customer service. I had a problem with removing the ads on my phone and it was quickly taken care of.

Entire program crashes everytime I try to submit any kind of report. Useless.

For latest up date you must uninstall then install for update to take.

Update on 8/13/16: App crashes upon opening. Is it possible to give 0 star? Old review: Stuck at the screen 'Fetching information' when trying to submit a report. Also need the option to manually choose your ward. Auto selection is not accurate.

Updating my review; I came here to check if there was an update. Now I see that it won't even install on my Galaxy S3 phone. Not good. Here's my original review, which still holds; There are not enough categories, there are very common problems that simply don't fit into the selected groups. for example plugged sewer, plastic safety cap removed from bottom of light pole, sewer grate missing.. needs a lot of work, seems like development has stopped. ..

It opens fine, but select any option and it crashes. Used to be a pretty good app.

Submitted two reports and issues were resolved by the city in about 2 weeks. App needs to be updated. Crashes a lot

Quick way to submit problem reports and service requests. Faster and smoother than via the website

Need to add all types of city requests, except for 911 type complaints.

I wish I had this app when I popped 2 of my tired from a pot hole in Chicago. Maybe this app will help the city have better Control of issues like this.

New version has ads, but also quite unhelpfully crashes as soon as I try to write a report. This is on a stock nexus 5. Still crashing after 9/10 update
