Since the past 2 upgrades, I haven't been able to add my availability without getting an error and can no longer view the daily schedule since the latest update. The "Scheduling" and "My Schedule" icons show the exact same thing which is my personal monthly work schedule, whereas before, the "Scheduling" icon would show you who was working that day. If you have to use this program for scheduling, don't do it and there are alot better options out there that actually work like they are supposed to
The mobile companion to rest of their software is underwhelming and has incredibly poor UI design. That I can't simply sign up for shifts through the app is a glaring omission of basic functionality. The app's notifications are never timely, and always come through in duplicates for the same agency even after allowing the app to bypass all dnd settings and giving higher permissions on the phone.
App misbehaving not showing calls past and present. I don't see why it has to have permission to overlay other apps. When I allowed it to overlay it shut my cell service off. I had to manually find how to turn it off to fix my service. I'll give it a few more days then most likely uninstall it and tell my officers.
App used to work amazingly well until the last few "upgrades". These last "upgrades" have made it nearly unusable, as the app continuously gets stuck loading, or force closes. This is not a local problem, as several other users on different phones are having the same type problems.
The new interface is horrible. Cant check your schedule for the next month without going through each day. Dont like how I have to toggle through each department. Update: thanks for hearing my problems and fixing the issue.
Like the app but I get the same notifications twice every time. Tried un installing and reinstalling. Still 2 every time. 😒 please fix this
It won't allow me to save a sound for when receiving a message. Which means I don't get a sound notification when receiving messages
This version is an improvement over the older version. I find it easier to navigate and use. I enjoy things that change for the better.
Hydrants do not show up on the map. Also tried to email support twice and I get a message stating email failes.
kinda wish you could choose specific units for which to receive alerts for otherwise not bad! thanks for responding. didnt realize. :)
Great app. I rely on it to keep me connected to what is happening. Also developers are very responsive to user input.
Sometimes beats the actual department pager but most of the time is right on point with all the calls
Having issues viewing hydrants most of my station is having the same issue
The mapping/navigation needs working on
Can't get past the first screen or log in.
Will not open. Can't get to screen asking for password.
New phone, updated app, sometimes i have a slight delay in dispatches but other then that works great.
Works great and insane costumer service lost my password and they fixed my problem in under a min
I think this app is very reliable to the firefighters and EMTs that use it and its creator does a great job to fix the problems that come about when it comes to the app
My department uses chief mobil and i have not been dissatisfied with the app at all, it helped out alot when my pager was out of service.
My department uses the app and it helps me when my pager dies or I'm not near it.
Just like the one gentleman, I'm also not receiving any push notifications besides the general messages. No notifications for incidents. They do show up in the incident log, but I have to actually go in there manually and check to see if there's been any incidents. I have the latest version of Chief Mobile running on a Galaxy S5. EDIT 10/16/2016 - App is causing my phone to lag. Deleted app and everything runs smoothly. Reinstall app and my phone lags. UPDATE 08/02/2017 - I had to go to the person in charge of our Chief Mobile accounts and have him log in to my account and change a few settings. Everything started working fine after that. Occasionally my phone wouldn't alert me of a call, but that was an issue with the CAD. When the county wasn't experiencing issues with the CAD, the app was super fast to alert us, most times being 10 - 30 seconds ahead of the Minitors and house alert. If you are having problems, I suggest seeing the person in your department who handles the Chief Mobile account and or the technology.
Works great just wish there were more tone choices
The new updates works great.
Can't see what units are dispatched
For some reason I don't receive the push notificiation at all like I should. Utilized on a Samsung Note 4. UPDATE 10/5/16: Still no push notifications :(
You cant map calls unless your gps is on 24/7. It doesnt alert me to calls any more unless i go in and refresh the incidents page. I havent changed any of my settings and for some reason im not alerted to any calls. Not liking this app at all.
Works maybe fifty percent of the time. As of today's update, I get push notifications twice, and the new in app interface is genuinely awful. Edit: After the 2/28 update, the redundant alerts are gone, but the alerts popup when my phone is locked, and prevents the screen from ever going back to sleep. Also, somehow, the user interface has actually gotten less user-friendly and more annoying to use.
