Child Reward - motivate kids with stars

When trying to upload a custom avatar image it opens my gallery, I select the image and a panel slides in from the right (I assume it is for cropping and confirming the image) and then immediately goes away so I can't actually upload one. Clicking on "Take a Photo" does nothing. Phone is a Huawei P30 pro. I have tried killing the app and reloading it, same problem.

I really like this app! it helps me to stay on task and organized with all of my chores, homework, and things I need to do. For the most part, it's pretty easy to use. I like how it is categorized into what type of chores you need to do. I think that the star strategy is a great way to encourage kids like me to stay on task. The only reason why I just gave it four stars is becauseI just wished instead of the date range being just daily and weekly it would add something about monthly. But great!

Easy to use and motivating for kids. I love that you can create a list of rewards/ costs so kids can pick from their points budget. A major flaw-points are not calculating correctly! An one thing I don't like- the icon choices for the kids are for one race/color. There should be options to pick customizable animals, monsters, different races or to take a picture. It'd be great to allow kids to earn points several times for the same item, & to see points, awards stats in one place and over time.

Could be good, but it seems the developers didn't bug-screen. 1. Tapping certain areas of buttons don't actually tap the button. It's infuriating. You can literally see it happen with Android's "show taps" feature. 2. Second issue: after typing in a task name, tapping a category doesn't activate that category; closes the keyboard instead. Tapping other widgets works fine. 3. Kids can mark future chores as complete. 4. Lastly, I disagree with the design that parents don't do any chores.

This app does everything I want it to, except have rotating chores. If you would add that functionality, I would rate this 5 stars. Edit: I decided to work with this app even though it doesn't have the rotating or monthly chores. I'm lowering my rating to 1 star because the app seems super buggy. Clicking the buttons to mark chores as completed or to confirm them takes several tries before it goes, and somehow my kids keep ending up with negative stars in the pending category, so I have no idea if it's actually keeping an accurate count. My kids really love earning the stars and seeing how far they have to go to earn their rewards, so I wish this worked properly. I'm going to have to try to find something else at this point. It's just too frustrating to actually use.

Great app, just two more features needed... As mentioned in an earlier comment, it would be great to have way to take stars away for bad behavior. The other thing is to allow sorting of tasks and rewards, or at least keep them in the order when they were created. Right now, the ordering of the tasks and rewards are random which, when you have a number of them, makes it harder to find what you're looking for. With those two things in place, this is 5 stars all the way.

This is a great app! Just what I've been looking for and my child loves using it. The only reason it didn't make 5 stars is because sometimes I've altered the values of tasks or rewards and it doesn't calculate the total amount correctly. But if you set the values and don't change them, there's no problem.

I really like this app! Only 3 stars because it needs a few tweaks: can't organize tasks order I want; can't set childs calendar to start on Monday; no todo list for tasks that have no due date, no push notifications so the app must be opened to check on things. I will give more stars as improvements are made 🙂

Great app also for iOS, nice amount of features. Although it wasn't completely what we're looking for, the app still meets the majority of our requirements. And thus we will try and adjust to it for now. I would give this app a 5 star rating if it did have the following features: - A button "failed" for each task, to handle use cases such as: "No unwanted behavior for today". Maybe this could even be extended with a warning system, e.g. 3 warnings result in the tasked being marked as failed. - Ability to add a tasks to recur every X days, to handle use cases such as: "Change cloths every 3 days". - Ability to add a time frame to a tasks e.g. "Go to bed before 20:00" or "Brush teeth between 19:30 and 20:00". If you need any help with implementing these features, just send me a message. As for the premium version, I think it's a bit overrated to ask $4 per month for such a simple app. Even if it's $4 per family per month it's still to much. I think a lot more people will pay for this app if it's a one time price.

Pros: Slick look, flexible monsters and full of features. Cons: super complex setup and after the first day I got stuck on one child's report page and couldn't add new tasks/stars/anything nor switch to another child.

This app has a lot of potential, but some key features are missing. It is not possible to create a non-scheduled task, or a task that can be done repeatedly without limits. Also, tasks that were scheduled on a past date are not displayed.

We chose this app over others because of the ability to sync with both parents phones. Without that option it's definitely not as useful. Every time we try to scan QR codes to sync it just says it's text. Great concept but not helpful.

This is a very useful apps to motivate the kids through gamification concept. I hope the app can also incorporate points deduction mechanism too. Also the slider for points configuration might be too small for my fingers. Maybe you would also have manual mode to enter the number through keypad.

We like the overall idea of the app, but it would be helpful if you could get partial stars for a task. So if something is worth 10 stars, you could get 5 or 8 stars instead of just 0 or 10. Then kids could see that while they did do a task, they could have done better. Or see that they did do better than yesterday.

This app is pretty good. My one problem is that the kids might do something and I have to go back and fix it for the day before, or they request something that they didn't do and I always have a notification. No way to cancel it. Edit: I do go back on the calendar. If it was not for that my kids would not use the app. They are sticklers about their stars. Probably one of the reason this app in general works really well a month or so later.

I love this app! My kids are 5, 7, and 9. I've assigned them chores through here, it's easy to update and take away stars as needed. The only *thing* that I'm not a fan of (this is just me being nit picky and doesn't make want to use it at all though) I wish it would say negative behavior instead of bad, or something else more general. Sometimes the behavior isn't "bad", it's just negative behavior that we are trying to get rid of. It's all about the child's motivations. I love the app though!!

After initially being unable to sync parent accounts developer helped to sort problem. Very impressed with that. Hence a new 4 Star review. Free version looks a really good version. I would give 5 stars if there was the option to award negative points for bad behaviour.

Application is based on a star point system. Parent can add tasks and rewards for kids. The individual task can have a different value. After collecting the appropriate number of stars you can collect the reward. Very helpful 👍

I accidentally added the same child twice to a task. I cant figure out how to delete the duplicate. Not intuitive for this feature. Also would be nice to just add the kids without immediately assigning tasks. Maybe im just misunderstanding. Nice concept though

I just downloaded this app today and so far it's gotten my children to be very well behaved but I have a few requests! 1) Please make tasks able to be "confirmed" more than once! 2) Please create a search function for the tasks! Especially without the ability to confirm one task more than once, there are SO many tasks to search through. 3) Please, please make a custom box for the points! The slider is so sensitive! With these I would rate it 5 stars and worthy of the $.

Great app! One request I have is to be able to select different tasks and rewards for each child. I have children with large age gap so some tasks are not appropriate for each and rewards will be different

I love the app. It's very useful but it has been having trouble reading the notifications and there's no in-app feedback sender, so I'll have to do it here. Please fix that bug.

I really like it so far. Easy setup. I was specifically looking for this type of app that worked cross platform. My only issue is I pay for it in Android (Google play) but it shows ads to my daughter on the iPad. Can this be fixed?

Really like this but please can you make it so we can easily organise the order in which the list comes up as I find the items aren't in the order I need them for the day so I have to search the list to find a task which takes extra time. It would be great if we could drag and drop each item into place on the list.

Where are the notifications for this app??? Everything else works great. But doesn't feel very rewarding when your child doesn't get alerted that they have points. And as the parent, I forget to look at the app if he adds a task be completed. So the delayed response kills the whole point of positive reinforcement.

good basic app. I just wish you could add chores to only specific days vs all chores showing up every day. eg. swimming lessons on Tuesdays. i also wish chores had the option of having a picture attached. my youngest can't read so isn't able to use the chore chart independently.
