This application seeks to ensure that the important progress achieved within the UN’s Children and Armed Conflict agenda translates into the negotiations of the Security Council’s country-specific and thematic resolutions. With this application we aim to provide policy-makers and those seeking to influence them with readily available key documents and appropriate language on child protection issues in order to increase the agenda’s impact. The application additionally offers guidance to field-based child protection practitioners responsible for monitoring and reporting on grave violations via an interactive training tool on attacks schools and hospitals.

As an academic I had to make research on the topic of children and armed conflict from almost scratch. this app has been extremely useful for me, both in terms of explaining clearly, in a visually very attractive way the history and the different resolutions linked to this topic - which was crucial for someone who lacks the basics - but also in terms of news and latest information per country. Since my work focuses on two countries in particular, I could obtain good data on them. This is a truly fantastic initiative, and I really hope that other such Apps will be developed in the future.
