The app is easy to navigate. Ability to lock or unlock my cards & view my card information right through the app is super convenient. Also, easily transfer between checking, savings, &credit accounts. Being able to utilize the Spot Me feature on rainy days between paychecks was a huge relief. To top it off, it's stupid easy to send money to family & friends when they're in need, and vice versa with receiving money. Oh yea, and I get my direct deposit two days earlier than my original payday.
When the credit builder was being promoted I signed up for it. I earned the green metal card by using it a number of times. It works fine and dandy until it doesnt. Chime reported a negative balance on the credit builder twice. Which dropped my score 21 points in total. With the safety pay and all the features they promise for easy credit building it still happened. I reached out a number of times and both times I received a copy/paste response with a link to how it works. Don't use it!
Makes banking, paying bills, friends, ect so much easier! No need to call the number on the back of your card to find out a balance or having to use a computer to access your account. With this app I can access all my information on the go! Along with putting money away in savings and take care of all my needs in life with this app and card! I also love the fact that when I need to add money to my card, I can add money without being charged for it. LOVE IT!!!
Awesome. Easy to use easy to transfer money to and from. I have been using other online banking apps and Chime is so refreshing after those experiences. If you are looking for a simple to use online banking app then this is it. I have been using the credit-builder card and went from literally no credit to Good credit in just under two months. Very happy with product.
I've had chime for years, they're always there to help, and they work very hard being prompted, they do well on trying to save you time money, and stress free. Customer service is always great, I can't recall a time they weren't able to figure out any issues related to transactions, or other concerns. Thanks for everything chime
Card that helps your credit (I haven't used mine yet but starting a new job soon so I'll do an update but my friend been using it for years her credit score went up almost 100+ points she said), app easy to use, & if all I'm hearing about it is true then Chime WAY AHEAD of ALL other prepaid debit cards! Oh and it's 2022 all you businesses who don't accept prepaid debit cards for example to make payments towards an item is RIDICULOUS! Most people use prepaid debit cards quit being a hater! ✌️
April 16th of this year I was at work and a purchase of $110 and some change was made through the Walmart App. My billing address is Virginia, there was a pick up in El Paso, TX. I have never been to Texas. I contacted Walmart and they stated I needed to contact my banking establishment, no problem. Chime had been great, they credited me a portion of the purchase. I recently received a message stating that there was no error found and they would be taking the credit back. Unacceptable.
This is easily one of the best online banks out there as I've had a terrible experience with others. I don't have issues linking my external accounts or paying bills which is my biggest concern. I wish I used them sooner to be honest. Update: This is by far THE BEST "online" bank ever. There's 0 hassle of any of the other banks that are just riddled with 'prepaid' transaction issues. That Credit Builder is also absolutely priceless, you don't find an "offline" bank that offers that.
I hate to give a 3 star review but I have to after today. The app is great, the banking is great however, Chime has a problem with it's either customer support or mailing team. It's been a few months since doing the metal card promotion and having it shipped to me. For months now, I haven't been able to use my credit builder card because they deactivated my original one when they shipped out my metal one, and my metal one keeps getting mailed to the wrong address.
This app's been working well for me for years, but I think now it's time I changed banks. I lost my debit/credit builder cards a month or so ago, and put in several orders to replace it: AND NOT ONE CAME. And I keep getting emails saying its "definitely" here and it should be activatrd. 3 failed deliveries so far. I must have called customer service about 5 times so far, and all they could do was send it again. Each time though, for whatever stupid reason, it never shows up. Frustrated
I've never had any technical problems with the app. Changes I make update immediately. It works like any bank account for services like Uber, Lime, etc. Having the credit card has steadily improved my credit scores, and it's green colored metal! I've had my account for a few years and plan on staying with Chime for at least the foreseeable future.
Still in my first month as a new account holder but so far everything has been smooth and simple. My direct deposit has been showing up 2 days early and every transaction has gone through without a problem. I really like how easily I am able to access any information I need from the app, especially quick, at-a-glance account balances. I would definitely recommend Chime to my friends and family.
Never had any issues great services always. What I really would enjoy tho for extra perk. Having multiple accounts or folders to be able to put money back into. We have checking and saving and credit. But I'd like to have one where u can make your own file like as many as u want like categories to where I can put money in each like a savings account to pay bills and save for them. I went from 500 credit score to 710 in 3 months using credit builder and dispute old accounts for hospital bills.
I like the app, but I would like to have ability to make automatic repeating transfers from checking to savings. not just 10%, but any amount. I want to transfer some amount from my another account to chime savings every month, but I don't have separate account number for savings, so I can't transfer money directly to it, so I have to transfer them to chime checking and then manually move them to savings every month.
overall, is an incredible platform with very minimal flaws. it has been incredibly beneficial to me throughout my entire time of using it. I recommend it to all my friends, especially ones financially in trouble, and my friends who would like to have financial freedoms, and able to deposit and withdraw on the go. try this incredibly transparent for their functionality and their purpose and I appreciate that from a business perspective!
I LOVE CHIME!!!! IT IS BY FAR THE BEST MOBILE BANKING APP EVER! It has AWESOME features!!! Including the spot me feature, as well as the boost you can get from friends.... There's more I can't go on... TRUST ME THIS IS THE BEST!!! I've never had any problems with chime either and I'm going on 6 years being with them! Also I love getting my check 2 days early 😎😎
This is an update. Chime has made major strides since they started. At first, most 3rd parties wouldn't accept them as a bank but now, they are basically accepted almost anywhere. Their credit builder card was a genius move and has helped me out tremendously in building my credit. I'm giving only 4 stars because there are no incentives anywhere, except for the metal credit card. After that there is nothing. Aside from that, I trust them with my money and im pleased to be here!
Been using chime as my bank for over an year and it been great. I get my check early, it easy to use, transfer between accounts are easy and you can send money to anyone. Credit builder card been also helping me with my credit score. Definitely recommend. Just one note, there is not a bank for depositing cash but you can go to places like Walmart to do so but there an fee.
I've been with chime for a long time and I love it, haven't had any issues, the app works great. The only thing that I wish Chime had were virtual cards and the ability to open up more than one savings account maybe set up some goals or pockets within the savings account to better able me to manage my money. Other than that chime is one of my favorite fintech banks.
It's say you'll receive your check 2 days early. At first I actually received 2 days earlier but the 2nd time, it's half day early only not constant. My other bank, I always receive 2 days earlier not late like this Chime thing! Also the app DOES NOT UPDATE DAILY! Why? Because the those unlock (SpotMe, Credit Builder Account, and etc. still there when the requirement is $200 ) things in the app does not disappear or hide; therefore, can't process. I have more than enough double, triple, 10x!
I Love chime, I switched everything from my regular bank because Chime is more up to date with the times. My bank sometimes would take up to a week to post items and then the order of items changes and balance shown fluctuates up and down as things post. The only improvement to Chime would be bringing back the balance history and also add a feature that you can search. So like you can enter vendor such as Netflix and see all payments & dates paid made to them
I love my chime accounts! I have a checking, credit building and savings account and I love how easy it is to transfer funds from one account to the next. This is done through the mobile app, which also allows me to check my account balances, transfer money, find local atms (the free ones), and more! I definitely recommend chime!
Great for people who are new to banking. I use it for the credit builder but it works well for savings and checking accounts too. The only challenge is that--because it is an online bank-- there are no physical branches. If you have a problem with your account and you can't access your money you may just lose that money.
I am thrilled/extremely happy with Chime! It's not just a way to receive my direct deposit early. It's 3 different accounts to use, checking, savings & credit builder account! I have my direct deposit split up, how I want it to be. A portion goes into savings/the rest I have go into my credit builder. Credit builder, uses my money, to stores, vendors & bill collectors it looks like a credit card, all while building my credit! Actually there is so much more.. I'm glad I chose Chime...
I downloaded this app for the mobile banking. I can't get direct deposit for over 2 months but I cannot use that feature without having direct deposit set up and used. Something they do not tell you before handed. If you want to deposit money you then have to go somewhere else and pay fees to get your money. What's the point of all of they? Trying to find an answer to that question was like pulling teeth. They don't read your questions unless you type it out 4 different ways. No help.
Amazing banking app. Easy to set up direct deposit, you can pay someone to ANY app, they help you build your credit score with literally NO EFFORT on your part, they have deals with certain companies to help you save money, and they can also automatically move money from your direct deposits to your savings account all on its own! no thought on your part - it makes it SO easy to save. They also give you $20 overdraft protection right when you sign up!! Also friend referrals get both of you $100
