I used to love Chimp Change. I've been using it for years. Then several months ago they started charging $6.95/ month. No warning... and they never did this before. I've contacted customer service several times and they've never responded. I really don't want to pay $7/ month for nothing! Sad because I really like the app and I don't want to have to go through the trouble of changing bank accounts but it looks like I'll be switching to Chime before they steal anymore of my hard earned money!
chimp change is the best mobile banking I have ever had. customer service is great and they always respond in a timely manner. The agents are not automated and they really try to assist in any way that they can. I have not experienced any inconvenience or issues with chimp change. they compete with the big banks and their app is awesome
Loved the app until the notifications stopped coming to my phone. Not sure what happened. My app is current on updates so not sure what the cause is. Only thing that could nake this app better would be if one could see pending deposits instead of having to call customer service every time.
Update: They just stole the last $5 in my account. I'm officially finished with them: Zero stars. Don't touch this company with a ten-foot pole. They have been charging me an undisclosed and unauthorized $6.95 monthly fee, when their terms of service indicates no fee for that particular month. I wrote them about this using the messaging feature of the app, but they do not reply. They take the money and run. The company is run by thieves. I'm closing the account and will have to eat my losses.
Called and left multiple messages to customer service and have yet to be contacted back. This is probably the worst online banking app I have ever used. Think I will just stick with my PayPal debit card. Thanks but no thanks Chimpchange. I'm honestly very dissatisfied in the performance of your app and customer service. Probably won't last long
Never had a problem with this app ever. It does everything it says it can do for you. I totally love it!!! That's why I gave you five stars if I could give you 10 🌟's I definitely would. Thank you very much for doing exactly what you say. It's a rare thing these days that an app does what it claims to do. Thanks for not being a chump chimp change. I'm loving the ease and functionality of the app and website! But just found out that I won't recieve my free smart wallet now because y'all aren't doing that anymore, even though it shows us that the wallet is included in the gallery for reviews. So really bummed bout that. :/
I really used to love this card. Over the past year everything has gotten turned down by it. Can't purchase jukebox credits, Redbox, Hulu, online bills... almost nothing. They all now turn down this card. They used to accept it. Only thing it's good for now is direct deposit, then go get your cash from an ATM. Does anyone know of a better card that is accepted everywhere?
I have tried to contact ChimpChange in every form they provide and they have not got back to me or answered my phone calls. when I call they have an automated voice that says "sorry nobody is available to take your call" even though I have called during business hours and remain on hold for for about 10 minutes at a time. i am trying to cancel my chimpchange account before they start charging me monthly fees to use their app. I feel as if it is a scam to get money out of people.
I have been using Chimp for a while now and it has become my number 1 mobile banking app. Easy to use, great customer service but the fees. The fees is what got me looking around for another bank. $6.95 monthly service fees so I can use mobile deposit but the percentage of what's deducted is crazy high. Minimum of $56.95 on fees a month.
When i opened my card it said no monthly fees as long as you use your card or have a direct deposit. Now they have changed their agreement with out the customers consent. And they are charging $6.95 a month if you use the card even once. it's a lie that they charge no fees. Save your money and go to a real bank that don't even charge a monthly fee for just using the card. most companies wave the fee for using it. This company charges you for using it.
I have been using this card for over a year and then for a few months I didn't use it. When I went back to check my balance I noticed that you've been taking out an unannounced fee every month. Well I'll see you later I'm not going to pay this fee. It's bad enough that I have to pay money to deposit money on the card. You have ruined a good thing. l notice other people are complaining too. i would have had a great review until today.......i called 20 x's and left my info for a call back and NOTHING!!! The only people i can get on the phone can't help me with the fact that this stupid app isn't working. I just want to hear SOMETHING.......no response is ridiculous. i ve been calling since 9am.....its 2pm!!!!!!😡😠
Although I did have issues at first, I'm finding this card is much better fee wise and once I learned how to get a customer service agent I've had nothing less than exceptional service. Linking it to PayPal helped out and gave me better solution fee wise. Thank You very much Chimp change. You rock
DO NOT USE. The customer service is terrible. They're never available and takes days to call you back. I just got paid and cant even use my card nor log in to the app or online so i can transfer the money to another account.
I never got no smart wallet and setting the card up has been a pain and trying to get people to load it has been even harder. I'm going to go try again later. But I still never got no smart wallet just a card no book explaining the card holder agreement lawyers feed agreement or anything like that all I got was the card in the mail
I legit just got this to get a direct deposit for work, and my dad is in control of the account, we say down and took a look at Paylocity and saw that it was deposited directly to my ChimpChange account, and yet the money is not there. it's been 46 hours now that I still don't have my money. I sent them a message, and I'll see if they respond, but to my knowledge so far, they scammed me. Let's hope they contact me and fix this. I'll change this review if they do, if not, don't get this app.
This the best debit card ever! I love it one of its features I love is transferring money to another person instantly with any problem. A Very secure card. My everyone in my household uses the chimp change card .good customer service representative.everything bout this card is lovely .. I couldn't ask for a better card. Thank you Chimp Change..
Received my card fairly quick, the activation was very simple, and so far I haven't had any issues, been using since Nov. 1,2018
Great app. Would definitely recommend!! My direct deposit is always early, loading the card is painless, great customer service.
They've been eating away at my account with a nee, undisclosed monthly fee. Serious shame on these people. I signed up for an account and the literal second I got my tax refund they locked the account for "suspicious activity." I got it straightened out but was too spooked to have any real money in there so I switched to Chime, but left a little in there for an emergency stash. I just logged in and saw they started eating away at my little stash with a new monthly fee.
Willing to change my rating to 5 - 🌟 if all goes well. I just started using this app, so I will see how easily transfers and deposits go before rating again.
No customer service. The worst financial institution I've ever dealt with I would not recommend them at all they are terrible Can not get any Live help from the banks only non American call centers.
best app ive ever had when it comes to getting money there fast very responsive and very friendly i would recommend this app to every one and any one who has direct deposit
they say that you get your paycheck early but you dont. must pre-paid cards you can get paid two days early not this card. and you cant buy almost nothing online with it. i have issuse with this pre-paid card then green dot at less you get paid two dats early
I've been using for 2 years now, and the notifications went any and no option to them on. Have to log into app everytime I want to see my balance or transactions. Going back to rush card because of it. Also I can only load $500 cash at a time with a limit of $1000 and get charged $3.95 for both loads. To expensive to beable to use your own money.
