Chinese Chess, Xiangqi
The game represents a battle between two armies, with the object of capturing the enemy's general (king). Distinctive features of xiangqi include the cannon (pao), which must jump to capture; a rule prohibiting the generals from facing each other directly; areas on the board called the river and palace, which restrict the movement of some pieces (but enhance that of others); and placement of the pieces on the intersections of the board lines, rather than within the squares. -- From wikipedia.

Best Xiangqi app in English I could find. Has an excellent tutorial (it's under "Beginner," not "Tutorial") and the challenges are quite difficult and could have a smoother increase in difficulty but overall provide valuable insight into how to think more than one turn ahead.
Great game. It would be more interesting if a few players in different part of the world can join as a group, and play against the computer. I think more people will join the game. In addition, less experience player writhing the group will learn from more experience player.
the game is useless if you dont already know how to play the tutorial is on a very hard difficulty that i cant even beat. and i learned howcto play shogi and Chinese Checkers after 1 or 2 games please the tutorial is to familiarize the piece movement not 5o challenge someone
3 hearts and you lose everytime you do something. I was trying to learn basic rules and I need to watch ads now.
Good but could be improved. While you can save an initial start position it always assumes the first move is for red

Is decent with the teaching but the hearts really should count for tutorials. I do like the fact that you can watch an advertisement to regain hearts and play more unlike some where you have to wait 24 hours.
One of the best xiangqi apps ever. I would like it if it included a computer evaluation (eg. A number showing how good the computer thinks it is) and what the next best move should be.

Keep losing sigh.....guess I not gd in playing. The attacker which is the com, should not be counted as draw to it after 3 times same move. In the the case where the attacker keep repeating the same move, should be make to change another move so as to be fair to the defender. This is because it is a deadlock and yet counted to the winner to com because both the defender and attacker(com) repeated the same move. U might think that it is a protection to defender but actually the game is actually the defender is winning but due to stupid attacker keep doing the same move. Sigh....

Some challenge level are near impossible to win, but once you know how it is easy. I win a few challenge by force a draw, could be a clitch. Hint do not help to win but show a possible move even if it led to a lost game. Overall it a decent game if you dont depend on a hint or redo.
