Chinese Dictionary

Good app. My default app for finding meaning of Chinese words. The components feature is really useful. One request - in practice tab once you select an answer, the app barely gives you a second to see if you are right or wrong. In case you are wrong it doesn't give you time to mentally note the right answer. I think it would be better if there was a button to go to next question instead of the app automatically moving to next question.

I thought the ads were annoying, but wow, the free resources outweigh them all. They have everything that a beginner could ask for including systematic character breakdown to radicals and youtube links to preposition basics for example. So, I highly recommend it. It's my first proper product review, and my one week on this app has been great.

After the recent update, google translate component of this app has crashed. Very disappointing. I have tried reinstalling several times as advised by you. The dictionary still doesn't open. Please check it. It is a great app overall. Would be terrible to lose it. Thanks.

It's got a lot of cool features but I'm disappointed I can't switch between simplified and traditional. The traditional characters are there but they're small and off to the side. When you select that character only simplified is prominent. It seems like a basic mistake I see in language apps and dictionaries. They won't specify between cantonese and mandarin in spoken word apps (just calling it all Chinese) and written apps won't differentiate between traditional and simplified.

I would give 5 if I could choose the toolbar color. It's been demonstrated that it has red toolbar on it BUT it's blue. A little bit sad cause I can't change the colour. I hope the creator would improve this tiny improvement soon, as there's a lot of ppl out there trying to find out convenient chinese dict even frm the visual appearance. uh oh, wanna ask, Do the "unlock all" payment covers affixes, all hsk lvl, vocab? thank youuu.

This app is very helpful and has many features. It has all the HSK words and also the most used characters with many examples. But the app lags a lot. Please fix that. Lso it would be good if even the examples had the voice. Overall a great app!

Nice app, .... but: Takes lots of space on internal phone memory. It can't be installed on sd. Can't find options to display traditional chinese, (maybe related to source dictionary) Actually quite nice app, just how to get rid off simplified and enable traditional chinese characters BTW the char ma 嗎 in app has wrong tone indicated as (mǎ) shoul Be ma Positive hmm I am sure many, just start to use it , I'll update the evaluation later on

Still cannot look for new vocabularies by manual drawing its characters since getting the paid version. Still not received any support on the above issue. Additionally, there is no information word type of the vocabulary we are looking for, so we can understand what it means but don't know how to use it correctly.

My apologies, perhaps the lack of details in the description, or something else, such as when using the app on my Android-based tablet, it seems much different (in a good way) than when using a mobile-phone device. I updated my review, after reading the Developers' response to my first comments, as once I discovered many good points I was not aware of before, I find the app to be much preferable to "Google Translate", (which DOES have many problems this app foes NOT have.) Again, my apologies.

The app is really good but have issues with Chinese pronunciation which doesnt work even after clicking on the blue Chinese character. I have installed Google TTS engine as i read a previous review, but still it didnt work. Please assist.

Quite powerful. However, the display of traditional characters seems to be limited to headwords, shown in parentheses. It's useless for reading example sentences or related words if the app only displays those in simplified characters.

Woww, best app I've ever found. Every feature are so useful and there are even chinese proverbs with it's meaning. Plus every collocation. But example sentences are usually very hard and some even awkward. But regardless this app is great❤❤

complete practice from basic vocabulary to complete sentences. intuitive and easy to use. however, limited ability to go back and check incorrect answers.

As a person who is trying to learn Chinese I was hoping to learn how Chinese words are pronounced. Instead, the app is providing pronunciation for English words, which makes me feel like the app is more appropriate for Chinese people who are learning English than for English-speaking people who are learning Chinese. It's helpful anyway. I'm starting to love it.

Very good UI. Very easy to use and understand. If you can, you should include hand-writing section because I have to download hand-writing keyboard like Google Hand-written Chinese keyboard.

Ok! Thank you so much! Now Google ads of 'English Chinese HSK Dictionary' on my phone disappear, but all the features of it have not still unlocked while I purchased package "Unclock All". So, Sir, I no need buying packages such as "Unlock Affix", "Unlock Vocabulary", "Unlock HSK 1-6", and "Remove ads", right? I mean the word "buy" still appears on the items such as "Unlock Affix", "Unlock Vocabulary", "Unlock HSK 1-6", and "Remove ads". How to solve this issue? Please help!

I love the design because it's user friendly. However, I hope we can add categories (with subcategories), not only a "love"/favorite. I also wish this app can make flashcard menu (like Pleco app), so users can study the vocab list easily. Beside this app, I installed Hanping & Pleco, but I like this app more.

no scroll bars in lists, almost impossible to reach the end of the long lists, please fix. otherwise - awesome app, great job!

Hi Chinese Dictionary app, I give 4 stars to this app because all feature is awesome but i have a problem i want to complain about I already purchase unlock all feature but why when I go to news feature its still give me ads because "ads" its bit annoying for me, so please reply my question ASAP (as soon as possible) thank you developer good night.

Well, it's getting better in terms of performance. And I've been considering on purchasing one of the paid features yet I'm still doubtful about me being able to retain back my purchase when I change my current phone into new one. Please answer me :)

I love this app. This is where I can UNDERSTAND every meaning of Chinese Characters and words. however, if you have no enough data, you can't hear the pronunciation which kinda disappointed me.

Amazing!!! But I would love to get the option of voice pronunciation of the Chinese characters. it doesn't seem available on this App
