★ We're using our very own dictionary, made by bilingual experts in Beijing. It's got 100,000 words and search algorithms that prioritise words that you'll actually want to learn! For example, try searching for "tree" in your existing Chinese dictionary. More than likely you'll see 木
- not helpful at all! Search with trainchinese and you'll get 树 first and 一棵树 second
- just what you were after.
★ Partial searches start returning results as soon as you begin typing. If you make a spelling mistake, you'll get suggestions for words you might have meant.
★ Get measure words for thousands of nouns. Tap measure words for full details and access to related searches.
★ Search for words by type! Add "n." to your query to prioritise nouns, for example.

I really like to the app. I used it for over a year now. Just one feature is missing: traditional Chinese characters in the multiple choice selection when training. It should be a "low hanging fruit" to implement. I would be very grateful. Thank you
I'm writing this to offset my last, 1-star review. While I think the dictionary needs a fair bit of work (example: searching "shoe" suggests 鞋子 over 鞋), the flashcard system is much more manageable than Pleco and others. Less detailed, less accurate, but way way easier to use for studying. Still the best I've found. Due to regional differences, I can understand some difficulties occuring in writing a dictionary. Unfortunately, Google won't let me remove my last review.
After recent update, ads are shown in the app - of course, they didn't mention that little "detail" in their update notes. I would be willing to become a subscriber if they would get away from that extremely ugly design. It's just too ugly to pay for it. So I uninstall.
it's a must have for me. though admittedly I don't use it as much as pleco because the latter allows me to just write to find out its meaning. for this one, I use when I need to translate English to Chinese update: I was informed by developer one can just write Chinese words too in trainChinese by installing google pinyin app. thumb 👍
Dear trainchinese developer please increase number of cards and flashs for free version ,and try to decrease cost of subscriptions ,because ,most of your customer are students and it's expensive for them ,me too,but I were a rich person or were working and earning money ,hundred percent I would spend money to learn Chinese in Trainchinese app,thank you!
I used this application since I started learning chinese in 2011. This application help me alot as my teacher. I strongly recommand you to use this application if you love to learn Chinese.
I have been using trainchinese for 7 (!) years now. I tested several apps, and this was by far the best, and somehow it has only gotten better over the years. Thanks a lot!
I use this app for ao g time now, very happy with the different features. Some more colloquial chinese would be great input.
Tried to sign up but says I'm already registered. However when I try to log in, I am told that there's a problem. Also can't find purchase info on the website or in the app... What are the plans and how much are they?
Thumbs up. Great tool. I am old but my knowledge in Mandarin is like an infant. I use this software with HelloChinese App to improve my Chinese. They are great.
This app is really good for a beginner who wants to learn chinese. It also shows the chinese characters step by step. Very recomended!
This app was so helpful. But recently I had to re-install it. After that I am not able to create an account. It says "a user with the specified email address is already exist." How can I log in to my account? Please advice !
No good! Registered then asked to sign in but says there is an error. Can't get past it, just repeats. Now it has my email!
This is the best app in phone to learn Chinese language, but I propose you to learn Chinese language from HSK.
Stopped letting me log in after phone upgraded to Android 11, though it will still complain if I put in the wrong password. Didn't get any response from support.

I use this app on the iOS device. But this has so ugly design, write hieroglyphics is so uncomfortable. So you should upgrade your design. 2021🤦🏻♂️

Excellent dictionary ,but too many advertisements can't study from it.
Comparing with iphon, dеsign is not very good. It's inconvenient to use it

A great resource for learning but I haven't given it 5 stars because one thing about it really irritates me. A message pops up as each mode of flashcard training is completed. This message sits on top of the next card and its poor placement prevents reading the definition until the message fades. A minor thing to be sure but I have had to wait literally thousands of times for this message to disappear as I train. Seems like a minor fix to add a flag to suppress the message.
