There's a lot of good things about these apps. But the "writing pinyin" part leaves a lot to be desired in that it counts your pinyin wrong when it's clearly correct. I've double checked it against all other HSK learning platforms. But all of this developers' content doesn't update and correct their mistakes. And it doesn't show why it's counting your answer wrong or what the correct answer should be. It stays stuck there ruining your score averages.
The app is fun and useful to anyone learning Mandarin. I enjoy the variety of games and the different techniques available to help concrete your learning. The big downside is the price, at least for me. It's too much for 1 level and 1 single language when you consider that others are free and/or the lifetime price they ask is still less than HSK1-6 combined and they offer you several languages. HSK does good work, however it's overpriced for the market. In my humble opinion.
Wow, the 8.0 update is awesome. The pro version of the app might seem pricey but trust me when I say it's worth it. The stories feature is incredible! It makes learning characters fun with the character games and teaches you grammar through the lessons and the sentence games. I would rate 6 stars, the only thing I'm left wanting is more of this incredible content.
Thanx I changed to the old version so now I can find the Hsk 2 words ... but the 3 version not have any of Hsk 2 words I don't know why..谢谢您 sorry but are you sure this words for hsk2 cuz I can't find any word from it in this update like other hsk2 apps????? ... one of the perfect apps to learn chiness
Can't sync account across devices. I upgraded to pro on my ipad but also have the app on my android phone. Seriously disappointed that there isn't a way to "login" with one account on multiple devices. Shouldn't have to pay $18 for each device. Especially since you're paying that for each Hsk level with this app; it would have been great if the app could "stack" levels. When I advance to studying for hsk 3, I'll definitely be looking for a replacement app that will sync across devices.
It's looks a bit standard but it has a lot of helpful material. It's easy to navigate around too. It has helped me progress a lot. Interesting surprise: on random days, it gives access to the pro-content for just a bit bit it is worth it.
Nice app overall. I like this app. It's a very solid app compared to some. One thing i dislike is if you want to complete the games you have to learn some traditional characters and that's something i don't have any interest in. Without this you cannot unlock all the flash cards. Please allow users to turn this feature off
I like the interface and the fun gamification of the lessons, but the price is hilariously high. I thought it was $22 for all levels but it's just for one? I've seen the developer argue in other responses that they need the money but I'm really turned off by the high price.
Great app overall, easy learn Chinese characters . Its better if we can choose the character that we need to learn in game. I mean in real life learning Chinese we get a few characters, so its better if in game only the characters we have learn. For example fist of 50 characters only, and etc
This app is awesome. I was losing motivation studying since flashcards are kinda boring but this has made it fun again. There are also a variety of methods to learn so the words will definitely stick. Probably one of the best apps I've used, it's too bad it isn't more popular it definitely deserves it!!
Great work, highly appreciated and recommended. However I would like to suggest creating an alternative means to unblock paid features (one example would be ads watching) for those who can't afford to buy like me. Another suggestion is that adding a pinyin-to-character writing feature would be very helpful.
The example sentences they use for sentence practice use a lot of words higher than HSK2 level, and there's an error with the red highlighting in the 还是/或者 lesson but it's great for memorizing and familiarizing yourself with the vocabulary if you pay for the full app.
I'll give it 4 stars, pretty decent exercises but there's a few things I'm not that happy with. 1. It would be good to see the correct results of the questions after taking the hsk test. 2. The picture cards sometimes make 0 sense.. e.g. A picture of a finger in the air means "but"??? I realize it's not always easy but it's weird to be judged on this (is this actually part of the hsk test?). 3. A few more stories for listening would be good.
Excellent app for learning Chinese, it is an excellent complement to my mandarin classes. I will look forward if there is a discount in the future so I can upgrade my basic version. Thanks
Amazing. Really, super good. But the price is way too high. For only one level they want 20$... At x5 levels, makes over $100... This price tag is exaggerated. Edit: for the same price I get Duolingo - in ALL LANGUAGES! I would rather have 100 ppl buy at 4.99$ than 5, even 10 ppl buy at 20$ Duolingo started free I subscribe. Content becomes obsolete as I learn it.. I don't want/need lifetime acces to lvl.1 content. Charge less: more ppl buy. I believe this. 25% Vat?! +25%"tax"? Come on!! 🤔
Great app to INCORPORATE into your textbook learning and other sources of learning. Would not advise to use as your only source of study. Also, I'd love to pay for the app, but I do not feel it's worth 12 dollars. I'd pay about 5. Therefore I'm forced to remain using the free version. You might find more folks paying for the app if it was a smidge cheaper.
I bought the pro versions of HSK 1 and 2 so far and I'm really happy. Of course, it's not cheap. But, firstly, you should invest in your education and secondly, this is simply a very nice app. Also, after paying I feel more obliged to keep practicing!
Thank you for your helpful application which bring practical assistance to self-access learners. I have just learnt words for HSK1 in three days using one of your applications for level 1. Another big thumb up for that. Be safe and successful during this difficult time of COVID-19.
Ads are far too frequent. I understand the desire to make money, but every 5 questions is too much - I would be tempted to upgrade actually if I could actually get a feel for the app, but it's just put me off...
The app is good but there are too many ads now poping up. This didn't happen before. Thinking about uninstalling it. ads getting more annoying. good thong I only use this app once in a blue moon
This is a very good app that will help you learn. I most especially admire the fun (games) that are involved while studying; it makes me encouraged to study more.
Great app for learning. I've tried several paid apps. I'm sticking with this series. Only wish it had a dark mode. It's really too bright white.
I study Chinese on my own, and this app is so useful. It helps me in both vocabs and listening as it enjoys good stories. I just can say; 这是非常好。👌
picturecards often seem to have little or no relation to words; items keep repeating even when you always get them right; adverts excessively intrusive
This app is really comprehensive. It helped me understand a lot of words better and the games are just wonderfull.
Amazing app, harder than other apps but it pays off. I learnt the vocabulary faster than with other apps
fun and easy to understand, really useful even just to review vocabulary
I think it is worth the money! And you have so many different ways to learn a character or sentence, I personally like it
This app covers all the major areas of Chinese for the beginner coming at them from a variety of angles. So. whether one's focus is characters, syntax or pronunciation, approaching it from different perspectives gives one more practice without risking boredom. I also find that trying to read and understand the examples, motivates one to learn additional words that are not on the list for that particular level. i really like the games.
