Really enjoying this app at the moment. It doesn't try to force some kind of over simplified learning game like many language apps do. My favourite thing about it is that it recognises both traditional and simplified input. I just wish there was an easy way to see or compare simplified VS traditional characters in the meaning tab.
A good idea, the basic functionality works well but the 'translate' options don't work so I'm constantly switching back and forth between Google Translate. Please fix this.
Has potential but need to fix these issues. 1) Translation does not work on Bing or Google. 2) For writing practice, the empty space covers the word, so it's difficult to refer.
terrible app that wants access to your phone calls, files on phone, contacts, photos, camera, etc. the app does nothing, possibly because i refused access to my most personal files, photos, camera, etc.
Totally rubbish app which just displays the content of some websites. It also asks for permission to make phone calls, for no obvious reason. There are many better Chinese character apps out there.
One can type searches, click "search" and watch nothing happen. One also can write characters, and get a "buy pro version" to get corrections. ...uninstall.
May I know why you need the phone contact to work? Also it would be a lot better if you can get the whole translation for a word with 2 characters instead of give me a meaning for each character. Don't tell me to use the broken Bing translatoe too.
02/01/2020 update: Crashes less now :-) Still such a wonderful app for learning. I can't find anything else like it in helping me practice my hànzì characters. Like Chinese School in the palm of your hands...
I really like this app but the popup ads are very annoying and I would like to have an option to purchase this app but I don't see an option for this. I give it three stars instead of five because of this.
Updated version is not working. While searching new words(Characters), doesn't read on screen...
In meantime this has adds I will not work with it. Just make like many others that don't contemplate adds. Not good for the eyes.
App crashed if I didn't give it access to my phone calls. You don't need to be able to make phone calls for me to practice writing.

Why'd you need permission to manage calls? Also, hella intrusive ads.

The fonts style are different from the style of the school teaching.

I love this app on ios. I use it all the time on my iPhone and ipad. I just got an android phone and was disappointed to find half the features missing and no option to buy a pro version either. Why no picture search and why do I have to just accept disruptive adds popping up all the time? Translation isn't working at all, the interface is clunky up... I could go on.
