The app is very buggy. It wouldn't let me place my order through it. It looks like it's not maintaining its data properly. I tried to update the delivery address but it kept saying the old address. I put in my whole order and tried to pay only to be told that they're not delivering to the address right now, but it's pointing to an old address instead of the one I'm trying to select. I'm an Android developer, the app has a nice ui but it's slow and buggy and easily causes headaches.
Edit* problem seems to be fixed and app is better. This is now my only method of ordering....old: Constantly having issues with this app. It's very convenient when it works! Frequently get error messages saying there's something wrong.... try again later....I would delete data, delete cache, uninstall app and reinstall, and sometimes that fixes it and sometimes it won't. Very frustrating.. .I love it when it does work! Id probably order more frequently if it worked more often.
For about 3 weeks, the app won't let me order for delivery. It keeps saying there is a problem and payments can't be processed but I can change my order ti pickup and pay in store. However, if I use the web page, there is no issue with placing a delivery order. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Now I can even log in via the app as it displays a generic error every time.
I wish there was a way to get things immediately resolved. We received the wrong order and I just kept going through loops trying to get ahold of someone to get it fixed. It would've been nice to just get a refund for my order, but instead I *might've* gotten some rewards instead? The ~$30 rewards given back doesn't equate to the $74 bill. I left several requests to contact me. Nothing so far. 😞
Ordering is easy and convenient, but the only reason I use this app is to earn rewards but it won't let me use them. I tried to add the reward for free entree and it continues to say I'm missing an item despite having two entrees in my cart. I even tried putting in a basic chicken burrito with no extras and it still won't work. Hope you fix this quick because after redeeming the points for a reward, you put a 60-day expiration so pretty soon I'll be out of luck. Also tried in store, didn't work.
overall the app is difficult at best. I almost never get through an order in one take. The app errors and I have to start again. Sometimes I give up and order elsewhere and sometime I stick it out, but has taken upward of 30 min to get one order placed. More recently when upgrade was needed the app will not upgrade, keeps erroring. I uninstalled and now cant reinstall. I have more than enough space to download but it just keeps erroring
I love chipotle. but using the app doesn't guarantee your order will be satisfactory,not only do you pay extra on each item for delivery. You also pay for a delivery fee and an optional tip. So my order which is usually $8 to $10 is now $20. Which I'm not complaining about. The real issue is, you can't guarantee that what I order is what I'm actually getting. When your app gives you the option for extra on items, yet when you ask for extra lettuce and you never get it. Plus No fork!
On top of messing up my order from time to time they're charging more money for the food depending on if you put it for pick up or delivery. For example a steak bowl is $10 with pick up, and $12.10 if ordered for delivery. Not to mention the delivery fee, taxes, and a tip for the driver. Does the food taste better when ordered for delivery or maybe you get more food? NOPE. Just like Doordash. Just trying to leach more money off of your customers.
Overall, really slick and ordering is easy. My only suggestion is that you allow for more than one gift card to be added at one time to payment methods. It would also be nice if you could cover the rest of the payment with a credit card if the gift card balance doesn't cover the entire purchase. The group ordering is far from convenient as well. It would be great if you could start a group order and allow everyone to pay for their own order as part of the group order.
Even though I've ordered from the app before and its within the stores operating hours, app suddenly says it cant deliver to my address even though I've ordered delivery to the address where I live multiple times before. Delivery would sometimes get screwed up in the past, but I always brushed it away with "everyone makes mistakes" but I have had consistent issues for months with no end in sight. Company doesnt seem to care so theres not much point to keeping the app around or even ordering.
Rewards points don't exist. I order Chipotle 2-3 times a week. The points weren't being loaded when I enter a receipt. I started ordering through the app, points aren't loaded then either. The only thing that works is actually ordering on the app and picking up my food. But if you have/want this app for the rewards points, don't bother!
The new update is AWFUL! the app just crashes constantly, even when it's not open! Also...please allow for more than 2 saved cards! The limit is frustrating. Finally, entering card numbers is a mess! The app adds in extra numbers when you type (I've had several people try it, but my phone is totally fine typing with anything else...please fix!!
I had a missing item on my order. Reasonable mistake on the employee's part, but apparently the process to get a refund is pretty convoluted. In UberEats and doordash, you can just open your past orders and click a button to get a refund when they leave something out. No button in this app. You have to go to their website, get the order# from your email, and deal with their buggy web design. Kind of feels like Chipotle just wants to discourage their customers from trying to get refunds.
Dealing with incorrect orders or getting someone else's order entirely is ridiculous. Even if you get a credit from the automatic prompting, you can't use more than one credit and you can't get delivery if it's less than $10 subtotal excluding credits. There needs to be a "got wrong order, send it again" option. Now I'm waiting for customer service to get back to me cuase the propting couldn't handle this case. This is the third time this has happened.
Decent food app. I wish the rewards were more prominent and easier to access/navigate, but it has a feature I thought would be universal (Chick-Fil-A disagrees). Order scheduling. It's great to be able to schedule an order for lunch and pick it up right away when you only have 30 minutes for your lunch break at work. It's also nice that it lets you save what you ordered for next time (makes it a lot easier for remembering what loved ones want from the place)
Outside of the actual food menu, the layout and navigation of Chipotle's app is not user-friendly and it makes it hard to find the things that I'm looking for (previous orders, rewards/promos, credits/refunds, help/contact support, etc). It needs a main navigational menu with everything listed under different sections/headers. It feels like the app was put together without any planning/thought about the layout & navigation.
TERRIBLE app. It says two of my emails are invalid. There's also a Credit Card number bug. Entering my credit card is the most frustrating experience I have ever had purchasing in any app. The app will create duplicate digits that I type and then jumps the cursor marker back two spaces when I press delete. Instead of deleting the duplicates, it deletes the other numbers! Extremely frustrating!
The app is currently stuck in a loop that renders it unusable: a pop-up says there's a new version, it sends you to the play store, and the play store says the latest version is nearly a month old and there is no option to update. Uninstalling/reinstalling doesn't fix the problem. Please fix!
They're partnered with Doordash, which is easily the worst delivery service I've had to use, and their customer service is awful. I've had to fight with their service bot and enter the same info 4 times just to solve an issue with a missing order. Every time, I asked to be connected with a real person, and every time it "failed to complete my request." Back to getting my burritos from Illegal Pete's.
I placed an order for delivery and it kept defaulting to an address I'm not at anymore even though I changed it multiple times. Just when I thought it was changed it's sending the order there anyway and there is no way for me to cancel the order or any human to talk to about it. I'm out $53 because of it. This app is not friendly if you're trying to change any of the information on it either. Would not recommend using this app to order. Just go into the store or don't order at all.
Used this app for at least a year with no problems, but then in 2021 it stopped recognizing my password, says it'san invalid password. However, I can sign in on a browser (on my phone or laptop) with that password. I even tried deleting and reinstalling the app, still won't work. I have tried off & on over at least 6 months now, still having the same problem, which stinks because it was useful & easy when it worked.
The app has worked fine for me. There are very few bugs. The only gripe I have is that the app does not add up calories and other nutritional information to give you a composite and sum of what you're eating. They just expect you to add the individual food calorie counts together. Also, I don't think it shows sodium and other things. Also, the calorie counter should change when you choose extra or light like their official website.
