Not as good as the first one, mainly because its so much shorter and only focuses on one key event, but still really enjoyable! The length does not really justify a 3.99+ price tag just to remove ads and replay it without a wait though. If anything, it feels like the prices should be switched for broadsides and foraker.
it is an excellent read.the story line is so great it has emotions tied right.the downside is, its so fast paced it cuts you off all of a sudden at midst of action. even though it was free, it has potential for a bigger plot line for longer battle andchase along with tougher decisions. i thought Knighthood was a breeze. i look forward more from cog like these hard to make decisions!
I was absolutely blown away yet again! I loved the first Choice of Broadsides and played it a million times, and this game is right up there with the original on my favorites out of your games. It was a really nicely done touch that it still somewhat followed the story of the original. Keep doing what you're doing! I'm loving the Choice of Broadsides series!
Absolute perfection. Great story, amazing language, and honestly i felt more like watching a movie rather than reading letters off my busted phone. The descriptions paint a clear picture, and constant action makes it hard to put away. Thanks for the great time! Keep it up!
Far too short, and advertised in such a way that implies greater length. I played it twice in 30 minutes. $5.00 to remove ads for this is absolutely insane. A story of this length should cost $.99 at best.
Incredibly well written story but I just can't give it more than 3 stars because it is way to short. I finished the whole story in less than an hour, I love supporting the authors of games like these but this is not worth the $4.99 price tag for the full version
Even though it's well written, it's way too short and price for removing ads is way too high. There is not much of a story and all you get is one naval battle and that's it. One of the worse games...
I'm afraid the 1st game was an awful lot better and that it felt wrong there was no meaningful continuation from that 1st game. Just feels less well written and generally unchallenging.
Similarly to its predecessor, HMS Foraker is a rather enjoyable tale. It brings a new aspect to the table of rather than the story of an officer, it provides the story of the captain, his crew, and their ship, all while still being at a reasonable disadvantage to the enemy. There's no time for shore leave, parties, or fraternization; you've a duty to the King and Country that must be seen to!
Very fun game! It almost felt like I was actually there haha. I caught myself getting super anxious at intense moments, but also cheering with the rest of the crew.
Brilliant game wish you had made a larger version starting with a basic ship and in the lower ranks and building your way up in powerneven getting your own land and purchasing supplies such as ammo, rations and materials to make repairs with.
It was fun. Takes maybe 30 minutes to play. Based on real history, so if you know the historical battle in question it is super easy to win.
One of my favorite IF games, mostly because if you play as a woman, all the gender stereotypes and expectations of that era are reversed. It's very entertaining!
5 stars for making free option available. Traits could be better and we could have had more decisions to choose traits..
Excellent story, immersive world well described, easy to follow and your choices do influence the story, all i could ask for such a game
Absolutely amazing and the best part in my opinion is the nod to Barrett's privateers ”the antelope sloop" and her being a sickening sight made the game 100 times better
No where as engaging as the original game, considering how long it's been, thats really a shame.
Good and free with ads. I was sad to see it end so quickly after just starting.
This should just be an short story. It is not really a choice of games game. Words can't express my disappointment.
incredible story full of outcomes and different ways to adventure and enjoy yourself.
Loved the game. Simple and the relation to history make it all the more meaningful.
very nice! liked the Hornblower books as a kid, this recaptures the atmosphere perfectly!
Very very short. Bout as short as this review actually. Whomp whomp!
Excellent. Wonderful adventure, with actual facts behind it.
It was a great choice game and it was fre so a kid like me with no money was able to reas the whole thing
enjoyable game but finished prematurely for me. Felt there was a tonne of potential to really go further
The original "Choice of Broadsides" was one of my favorite text-based adventures for Android years ago, and this one didn't disappoint either. I definitely got the sense that my choices mattered, and that they really impacted the storyline. My character died in a very unglorious fashion the first time though, so I'll be needing to play again.
