I love the mystery the intrigue! I find it funny when the author seems to taunt you in striking responses to your actions! I played all the way through once, on more than one occasion there seemed to be a glitch where I was scrolling to the bottom to read all possible choices, but it chose the 1st 1 before I could even see the submit button. Thankfully I can replay it & try to not trigger the premature selection. Other than that I cannot wait to replay and see what becomes of me the next round!
This is a well written game with lots of intrigue and feels like a season of The Tudors or Game of Thrones, it's very good. However as others have said the lack of a redo button is absolutely maddening. It's VERY easy to screw up in this game and ruin all your progress and die or worse and if that happens there's no choice redo or checkpoint, you have to play the whole game over again. Also I dislike how you have to pay in installments of $1.99 instead of a one time $5 or $6 but oh well.
Wrll-written and fun for a few hours. You have to pay for the second and third chapters and wait 20 minutes between tries. After the first through run throughs, the choices get old and end up in similar ways. The only 'good' ending so far is an incredibly boring one that ends because it deviates from the script. Sure, difficult choices, but the monarch you're saddled with for most of them is terribly erratic and your claim to the throne is nonexistent unless you buy that as well. Not enough options in my opinion. Regrets.
The game is rather short for 6 dollars. I would also like for the disclaimers about which endings let you continue to the next parts to be bold or italicized to make them stand out more. Good game, but not worth 6 dollars. There are other, longer games for the same price. Also, paying more to continue in other books with different events is a bit much, I bought the full game and no ads, but the purchases to continue the game with other standings are not desirable.
Game is ok, could use a better story line, but it's not terrible. What is terrible, is the initial purchase they make seem as you are paying for the game. You're not. You are only paying to remove ads. Well, in other apps that means you bought it. Not this one. You get to pay to remove the ads, then you find out there will also be separate charges for chapters 2 & 3. Getting my money back and deleting.
Hands down, the best story game where you get to pick your own storyline. There are so many different choices you can pick in this story. It's mostly about reading it and experiencing what comes with each choice. There are also settings for the screen of the app to make it easier to read for various people. This game is an overall delight. I would 100% recommend. ^-^
Magnificent! At first I was skeptical, the very beginning seemed to lead into simple gossip and court flirtations, the only aim being choosing who to marry. But very quickly it was submerged by a cascade of plots, with multitude of directions to follow... I was fully overtaken by the storyline, only desiring to carry on with my adventure! Moreover, I got the sense throughout the game of how differently the narrative could lead, which only gave rise to an eagerness to explore the other promising versions of this tale -and play this again, and again. Big surprise - and a big entusiastic YES
Overall a very great game! Beautifully written and a good story. Having trouble with getting to Part Two. I passed part one and saved my game but, It won't let me continue past Part One! I watch an ad and wait twenty minutes and when I try to restore my file I just end up back at the beginning. Forcing myself to wait again in an endless circle! Please fix 😀 -Nora
While I enjoyed the storyquite a bit my experience was dulled by the fact that I paid to unlock the second part of the book, and then still had to wait to replay it. Having to pay to unlock the third part (which I hadnt known of) as well isnt optimal, but developers gotta make a paycheck too. Having to pay to unlock like an hours worth of reading, then having to pay -again- to be able to continually use my purchase, or wait until a timer counts down....disappointing and feels a little low..
It was pretty good, I bought each part, just wish there was more I guess? The route that gets you the farthest is the King's route, but I wish you could go further with the other two initial love interest's routes. The other parts are dedicated to the king route, so it was disappointing finding that out. Please add more to the story!
I loved the story but, then I paid to go to the next chapter, and it didn't give me credit for paying so... I donated $2 to the developers. Then I paid $2 more dollars to advance to the 2nd part and now, unless I want to pay $2 more dollars to finish the story that may or may not be credited to my account for finishing the game.. I can't finish the story! I've written to the developers THREE times and have been completely ignored. Not very professional guys. Sorry.
This game was almost perfect, of all the games of this format I have played this one has the best character creation system. It only lacks the ability to input a custom last name. The story was great, but this whole game system needs an undo button. I had to reset my whole playthrough multiple times because of misclicks.
Well written and very charming. Characters are interesting and the options are abundant and are very different, leaving space for many different perspectives to play. A very engaging and fun adventure game!
It has a nice story but lacking in excitement and elements of surprise. Unfortunately the reader can only read until a few chapters before qe are forced to buy them. I waited through the ads for part 2, but it just returns me to the very beginning again. Please fix :((
I really see no point at creating multi ending book with so many different outcomes if there will be no redo button. Seriously, I am sure no one finds it funny to mechanically skip through choices just to make it to part they wanna try something different. This is only big issue I ever had with all the books I played
The story idea has promise but the execution is poor. The story, progress, and options are modest at best. You are not forced to pay but 1.99 for a C- story why pay to continue. Still I played to part 2 to see if the story picks up. After all it's important to be fair. Still the same mediocre at best. I chose not to pay and wait 20 minutes to continue to part 3. Similar to other reviews I remained in the waiting period. 🤦🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️
it's well enough written but as far as options, every choice is terrible. the description of the other characters is half hearted at best. the only thing the descriptions do is make you like each one less and less.
Like reading a book that you write at the same time! I love CoG's take on games, simple adventure books that you choose. If you love reading and games then give any game by CoG a chance. This one in particular is more drama oriented, they have many other games that appeal to almost any interest. There are no real graphics to speak of, which is my only slight negative point.
It's got a good story with interesting choices. But the wait timer you get at the end after playing is strange and in my opinion completely unnecessary. Why should I have to wait to play again its ridiculous.
I used to love this game. Ive played through it multpile times a few years ago. I recently tried to restore my purchase and It wont let me. Ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times and using different email password combos. No dice.
Could be better, during the actual events of the Season you didn't give the choice to spend time with each of your suitors, you get one choice of who to spend time with, one thats essentially forced, then you're expected to make your choice on suitor. And I'm not sure if parts 2 and 3 are available yet, it doesn't make it clear enough at the end if the next parts are not released yet, if theres a separate app, or if you need to pay to access them. It's beautifully written in most parts though.
