I've played almost every Choice of game and this is one of the weakest. As a lot of people are saying, it starts out great, then goes downhill very quickly. I didn't feel like any of my choices made big differences, none of the band members seemed to have any impact on the story, I didn't care about the player character much at all, it's over before any real character development takes place, pronouns are all over the place, etc. etc.
the first 3 chapters were ok but werent persuasive enough to make me pay and secondly why not just use ads and make the game free? im broke but i like the game and id happily watch an ad or two to support you guys.
While it's not the best, it still a great piece of art.
Did u guys remove my review? I remember reviewing this saying its just a text beased thing where litteraly everyone is against you, no matter what you do, it results with all NPC's giving you the middle finger
The story varies very little however you play it and the gender pronouns are all out of wack. Your choices don't have much of an effect on the ending and it is very short.
Amazing beginning but it's all downhill from there. There's much better games from Choice Of, don't waste your money on this one.
The game is terrible i want a refund
Amazing start to absorb the player
Aside from being forced into a certain path, I actually really enjoyed this story.
too short, exceedingly boring. i want a refund.
WHY IS THIS SO SHORT IT TOOK ME ABOUT 30 MINUTES AND THATS BECAUSE I WAS MULTI TASKING. What the literal heck. It was good and then it just ENDS NO CHOICES I MADE REALLY MATTERED BECAUSE IT WAS RUSHED AND WAY TOO QUICK. I PAID 2 DOLLARS FOR THIS WHEN IT SHOULD BE FREE FOR HOW SHORT THIS IS. Come on really.
I haven't read the whole story yet but from what I've seen, it seems decent enough, I guess. Not gonna lie though, I feel like I've seen better, more intricate and fulfilling writing in other stories from this developer - Creatures Such As We, for instance. That and other reviews are why I'm not so sure I'd be willing to pay in order to read the rest of the story.
I've enjoyed playing it. It's a well written story. I think it contains about 7 chapters or so (kinda lost count while playing). So it's true it's short. Yeah, the character is 13 but only for one chapter. S/he grows up. There are 41 achievements in the game. I got 33 out of 41 so far. It's kinda hard getting all the different endings and achievements. Esp. since there is no save option so you'll have to start from the beginning if you made a mistake. Still I had a good time playing it & the story was good.
I really like what I could play in the free version, it gives you a good idea of the gameplay without leaving you completely unsatisfied, just curious. You get to get through the first real stages of Rocking out before they ask for money. They also only ask 1.99 for the full game, and if I'm willing to pay ten bucks for a good book, there ain't a way in hell I'm passing up any type of well written story for two. Will be buying once able.
I thought I would give this a try and its not bad. Its interesting to live the life of a rockstar starting from the beginning and working your way up. I might purchase this one chapters are a little too short though and your choices don't really have a big effect on the story.
Love these types of books. You can read them over and over and it's like reading a new book every time
I wish there were more options available, like having a tragic past.
Hands down the shortest choice of game over ever played. It's very compelling throughout and all of a sudden it ends abruptly. Overall somewhat disappointing.
Seemed like the author ran out of interesting ideas for plot and just wrapped it up.
Way too short. Loved the other games I played by this company and was excited to play this one. But ended way too fast. Will not be buying anymore of their games now.
I read so many comments that the story purchasement only give them a short expansion and that's all. Well I'm not personally bought it. But actually this app should be enjoyable IF you make it free. Don't be stingy. I know that you the developers has an effort with this. But it seems the price and the stories you gave them is not worth that much (I mean maybe not worth for money at all). Look at the broadside. You gave them full story and it gets you a good rating. Come on. Think again
Quite short and not particularly emotionally fulfilling, but not a bad little story.
Compelling but only 1/3rd of a story. It's just the set up. No 'career' and no 'resolution'. It deserved better. Feels like the writer had more story but just didn't write it. A sequel would be fantastic.
It was nice but it should've been longer since we were paying.
Wish It would let me wait a long time like doomsday on demand since I am only 15 and don't have my own money
The best one so far, no doubt about it. A beautiful story in the beautiful land of a beautiful musi genre.
I actually purchased this book. There are a great deal of different directions the narrative could take such as artist that inspired you, make up of the band, whether your a drummer or guitarist. Unfortunately, the narrative moves very quickly without much character development and I never got an ending where my parents were cool with me becoming a Rock Star. I guess that's the cost of playing the Devil's music but still kinda sad. Great replay value and decent narrative but a bit short.
