Chordbot Lite

I have a lot of fun with this app. There are more than enough instrument/pattern choices to make the progressions sound full, and I often go home really inspired to test my progressions! I think a few basic effects like a delay (tempo) and overdrive, as well as the option to add a melody would be really cool. I'd buy the full version if that was added to it. The lack of ads are greatly appreciated! My only complaint is that maj7 and m7 chords sound a bit off, but it doesn't bother me much.

If you're an amateur musician, you're gonna LOVE this. It's a very simple way to generate the rudiments of a song. You select your instruments (piano, bass, guitar, drums, etc.) and the basic pattern that each instrument will play, and then you just build a chord progression by adding measures of specific chords. You can build an entire song in less than a minute. Its great for creating backup / accompaniment to play or sing along with.

Contains an astounding range of styles and presets and has no adverts and it's free. You can't save unless you pay but just screenshot it. You can set any key in all of the main modes and choose any chord regardless of the settings e.g. D major chord in C major (Ionian) scale. It's an amazing app and I'm tempted to buy the full version to support them.

I've got full version, but if you compose or produce music I highly recommend this app. I don't have musical background although I have been producing for close to twenty years now, as hobbyist(I make no money), I find this as a great tool to learn scales. I have to use my ears so this app is perfect I can very quickly pick out my scale and time signature and then just go through and start picking out instruments and playing styles. I own a lot of full versions of progression, this is the best!!

Paid version didn't save songs. I made several songs with app. I made sure I saved them before closing the app and they appeared in list of saved songs. App wouldn't let me open a different song from lists, so I thought restarting app might help. When I reopened app, my saved songs were gone. I wish I hadn't spent money to gain access to a feature which doesn't even work. And I lost my songs for good. Disappointing.

THIS APP IS TRULY A GAME CHANGER!!!.... It has helped me write songs much more effectively!... I begin developing the first few bars of a song on this app, after getting the paid version... One suggestion I have is maybe adding more variations to certain instruments that don't have many(bass, organ, drums, etc.), but other than that, it's amazing! Thank you!!

Brilliant tool. Allows you to create progressions, see which chords are more compatible/consonant with the key and mode you are in. It even lets you create sections so you can test different parts of a song. Great for composing bridges for instance. It also let's you play these progressions in multiple instruments (which can be combined). Good job

Brilliant app!!! User-friendly, well done & thought through! Has allowed me to test ideas and discover new approaches to compositions. Massive kudos and a big Thank You to the developer! If I could wish for anything, it would be 1) to get an update with more patterns, and b) to be able to transfer it to e.g. LMMS without changes in instrumentation. I use the same soundfont, but never get the same result as in Chordbot.

Chordbot is a decent app as far as chord sequencing apps go. Overall it is very nice to use and I would recomend it over most of the competition. Though this app is usefully it does have it's share of flaws as most apps tend to. The biggest flaw is the problems with audio rendering quality. When making a chord progression in the app you can hear the audio without and clipping, however when the audio is exported to a wave file, clipping that may not have been audible will suddenly be present.

Excellent app. But still has lots of potential untapped. Please continue improving it developers. I purchased the full version of this because its really useful for our worship band. Here are some of my requests/suggestions: 1. Add a pad instrument. 2. Ability to change instrument for each part of the piece we are making.

So far a great and so useful app in my song writing. It would earn my 5 star if each section was independent in terms of version of style you choose. E.g When i choose a piano style, it applys to all sections. This makes it sound so obvious. (I.e doesnt differentiate Verses from Chorus and Bridge, Interludes). 2. Also if atleast you could allow export of midi files in the free version. Thanks

The difference between this and the full Chordbot is that with this you cannot save what you create. This app is so good that if you download this and play with it but dig into it buying the full version is a no brainer. People complaining about this app must realize thst this is the free version. If you want more then you have to buy it but this cersion will give you a decent enough sample to see what you are getting. Read the help and experiment with it. It becomes easier with use. GRSAT app!

This is excellent! Even the free version has exceptional customizable features to fit your needs. I use it as a great ear training exercise and to figure out more advanced chords for my music. Will buy the full version soon!

This is a wonderful app but it's got a real bad bug I can't seem to fix. It doesn't fit my screen! I have a Galaxy A20 and the app is just not displayed in full like I can't change my key from C maj to anything else because I can't access the button. It's literally blacked out. Help please.

I've used this app for months now, and I absolutely adore it! I'm a song writer, and this app has already helped me write over 20 songs! Thanks to this app, I am actually making my abulm! The only thing I don't like about the app is that you can't save your music. You need to buy the premium option in order to do that. Consider it done! Other than that, that is why I gave this 4 stars. Keep up the good work developers! This has probably helped a lot of musicians such as myself!

Great app, though disabled saving functionality in the free version is limiting. It would be good if you could set the tempo by section to facilitate changes in tempo in the middle of a song.

Probably the best chord progression app I've used. It still has its shortcomings (lack of tetrachords, etc.) and a chord customizer would be nice, but other than that, nothing else comes close.

Love this app! All the features I want. Only complaint is that the red/yellow/green indicator for how well a chord fits in current key isn't visible for the currently active chord (which is always blue when selected.)

I just downloaded this thing and am impressed, music for the masses. Singers, especially, will love the ability to try different progresion.

In this app can you please add number of chord in bar and add separation with gaps ?so it can be very easy to recognize. Some times getting difficulties to identify the correct chord. This app is amazing 👏

Wish I could change text font size. Think this was designed for tablets, can barely read it on a smartphone. Otherwise has good potential.

Great useful app, I use it without the generator but theres a bug. When I re-open the song the key resets to C Major, so I've had to resort to naming the files by key for later use.

BRILLIANT! Couldn't recommend this enough! Best Backing-Track builder by far! Lots of fun. It took me 5-10 minutes to figure out, but is as simple or complex as you want to make it.

The only mobile songwriting tool you can find. before I used it I tried many chords generator apps but they were all frustrating 😤 until I found chordbot (C7). I would recommend this app to anyone.

Chordbot is a great app. Have been using it for many years and on computers but on Chromebook it is too small and would be great if theyd make a version for Chromebooks.

Perfect for composition and practicing solos. Also just really fun to experiment with more advanced chords I normally wouldn't use. Great tool all around. Gonna buy the full version on payday.
