ChoroPhronesis iVR: Penn State

Put on your Google Cardboard and visit Happy Valley to experience the Penn State University main campus in State College, PA. In this first release, sixteen 360° images can be selected on an overview map and then experienced in VR using a cardboard viewer.

Overview perspective: Select one of the image locations by placing the reticle on one of the red dots representing image locations and press the cardboard button to immerse yourself in the 360° image. You can also place the reticle in one of colored squares on the overview map and press the button to zoom in on that area. Pressing the button anywhere on the map will zoom out again. Select a images from a particular category by clicking on an entry in the legend on the right.

Image perspective: Look around to experience the selected location on campus. Look down and place the reticle over the "Menu" button and a menu will appear that allows you to switch between images, open a mini map showing showing the current viewing direction, or displaying information about that location. Menu entries are selected by pressing the cardboard button.

This app is currently in Beta. More images will be added at a later point in time.

Requires Android 4.4 or higher and Google VR Services to be installed.
