Would not update the bin for my work address, was a mostly redundant app anyway but when you can only load one address then what is the point? When people want to use an app like this it is for a reason like having to put bins out for elderly family etc or friends on holidays etc so if you can't load more than one address it is a waste of time!
The app no longer reminds me to put the bins out! It lists my address but says that there is no nation for the address. After I have re-saved my address, the information is then available... Annoying! The list of what item goes in which bin is awesome.
This app is wonderful when it works and has some really useful features however there is a bug that stops it from sending reminders and it loses the information for street adresses and you have to go in and refresh it which is not ideal and defeats the purpose of the app if this issue was fixed app would be 5 stars.
Absolutely horrible at doing a very simple job, more often than not this app doesn't work and I can't figure out why, it has such a simple function however can't even get that right. If the Christchurch city council were an app, this would be a perfect reflection of it. Absolutely pathetic
I downloaded this app for one thing, to tell me which bins to put out each wrrk. 90% of the time it tells me that the only bin to put out is the weekly one. Ive had to turn the notifications off as it spams me with them every 5-10min for hours at a time. Unreliable and a waste of time and space
Annoying. Sometimes it reminds me, other times it doesn't. I have to use the neighbours address because it refuses to find my house number. And I get notification ls of new messages but when I click on them there's no messages on the app. Fix the app already ffs
The original app worked fine and we could find our address, this replacement cannot do that, so a waste of time. How hard is it to get an app to work for an existing property from an existing app? I have uninstalled it as no use to me and no response from feedback to resolve missing address
The app features are great but the reminder notifications don't come up even when I've scheduled them. It comes up when I open the app. Defeats the purpose of having the app. (Writing this as I see the trucks past me while my bins aren't out lol)
Would be great if a reminder app could remember to remind you. Fails to remind more than it succeeds. reinstalling will make it work for a time but when it fails as often as it does that's no comfort.
Tells me there is a notification but when I open the app there is nothing there. Won't remind me to put bins out despite the settings being set up for it. Does not tell me what bin goes out each week, constantly has an error and says to retry in 24 hours
I constantly forget what bin to put out every week so the app is good for that but there is something wrong with the app where reminders dont alert you and sometimes you have to re enter your address to find out your bin date and colour. If the reminder alerts worked it would be 5 stars .
When it works it's great. It really needs to pull the collection data regularly though, instead of randomly saying there's no collection data. Or even just an alert when there's no collection data
What an absolute pile of garbage app. It will not even allow the entry of an address (after several uninstall/reinstalls) which of course makes it unusefull. Guess that sums up the council, to busy wasting money on white elephants and monuments to themselves to bother getting basic stuff right.
Always works correctly letting me know what bins to put out. Great info for what to put in each bin. It would be helpful if info was in more detail, esp for recycling. E.g. the present plastic numbers and size of article.
Complete opposite of my previous review about never getting updates. Since adding my work address to the app at about 230pm today, I have had in excess of 30 notifications telling me to take my bins out AND bring them back in. Continued after disabling notifications.
Alerts barely ever work at all which is annoying because we almost miss pick up every week being new to Christchurch, Ive checked deep sleep apps and this is not the problem in this case!!!! Please fix as it seems to be a common problem with many
Atrocious. Most of the time it just can't find the server and tells me to "check me internet connection". More like check your servers aren't borked. It used to work, but it's far too unreliable to recommend to anyone
The app is completely broken, can't find an address on a busy road that has been around for over 70 years. No information about what to put in which bin, can't even send feedback via the app. Simply does not work.
Just when I thought they've rewritten it properly, it stopped giving notifications again. Just have an entry in your Google Calendar, and see which bins your neighbours are putting out.
It's been convenient, but nowadays it needs manual refresh to get the latest collection schedule if I remember. It does not seem the app has been updated since 2016. The android is saying the app was developed on the older version. When is the scheduled update release?
Useful reminders to put it correct bin. Easy to look up items if you're not sure which bin they go in. App is easy to use and relevant to all Christchurch residents :-)
What a pointless waste of 15mb. I installed this app because they seem to have removed the info from the website. The app failed to find my address on Hackthorne road. Funny how the rates bills still find the right place!
I like this app, I especially like the information on what can go into the bins. However, I would like to be able to contact the council with any queries which I could do on the old app but which seems to be missing on this one. I'm sure I read that I could wrap food scraps in paper to go into the Organic bin but I can't find this info anywhere and I'd like to do the right thing.
I like this version far better than the previous one. A far more extensive list of how to dispose of household items is really useful, and I imagine further items will be added to the list in the future.
Used to be good. Now reminders don't work. Completely useless just like the CCC. lots of similar reviews. Worthless. Now suburb is wrong, and there's some sort of gibberish as well. They can't even get the most basic job done.
App was good once but doesn't send the reminders for bins out anymore, which is the sole reason for having it. Have not got Android killing ANY apps, as I have seen in other reviews the developers try to say this is the reason, but it's not. It's just not a very good app it seems
A lot better than it looks. Pick up days & what you can put in the bins with a search mode you can't guess...eg pizza boxes come under cardboard....very helpful.
Quite probably the worst app I've ever encountered. Full of handy great info and tips. If only it could do it's primary job and tell me which bins to put out. Such a small amount of data to return but such a long time waiting for it. Most infuriating app ever.
