The app is very good. The only thing that bothers me is that there's no way to configure the stream's resolution separately from the remote desktop's resolution. Since my desktop has a very high default resolution I'm forced to lower it manually or else it'll lag.

Was good for many years. But it seems the Android client has developed a bug (proven on both my android phone (12) and tablet (11), in which the top navigation bar that features things like input method and keyboard doesn't show. It briefly shows up when you first open up a connection to your chosen desktop but then it's a pain to get it to reappear. Often it'll appear then disappear almost instantly.

It's a good supplement to the PC application but unlike the PC app this is one way only, meaning that you can control a PC from the phone but cannot control a phone from a PC. That last part is key, as other remote applications will allow you to do this (Teamviewer for instance). If this function were included it would be awesome. Other than that, it's got some small quirks like left-clicking takes some thought, getting the keyboard back is also not easy to find ..

Great client interfacing! The only caveat is that the top tab that allows keyboard input or mouse/touch option will disappear after first showing up. There appears to be no current way to bring the tab back down, even with a pull-down motion from the top of the screen. This might be user error, but the same result comes from multiple attempts. Still, excellent remote mobile-device-to-computer control!

This is a mediocre version of what is available on PC or web. Literally none of the options on web is available on this app. The only thing this app has that the other two versions don't is the keyboard button. If you are accessing it on a PC browser, it is not a useful feature but if you're on your phone's browser then it is. These 3 versions (mobile, pc, web) of the same software differ wildly. Ie no file dl on phone version. No keyboard button on phone browser. I use window onscreen keyboard

I have to reset the PIN every time I use the app. How the %@$ is that for convenience?!? I can set it up and verify. Then, when I try to use remotely, no dice. Fails at exactly what it is intended for. Lamest app ever!! Must be at the terminal to reset!! Too many programmers rush to publish. This is a classic example. Label it BETA until it will work as advertised!! Should be a requirement! Last update 2019... you are not done, fix it!!

Worked the first time, can't for the life of me get it to connect again. Would be nice if it allowed for more stable connectivity if you plugged your phone into the usb, as I was hoping to use it in place of a drawing tablet, but it doesn't. If you tap your screen at all while it's trying to connect then it gives up on it too, so my screen keeps going black and then I either have to tap and give up the connection or let it lock me out and give up the connection that way.

The app is great but can be so much better. The screen mirroring experience is great when you have decent internet. All interaction is also ok but would have been better of they had some more features. For example file sharing. And more keyboard functions like Ctrl, alt, shift, windows etc. Also would have been better if it had some system control functions like restart, sleep(though you can do it using the remote connection).Make it great and especially add remote file management and I'll giv 5⭐

Easy to use, no issues so far. After trying multiple remote control apps, this one was the first that not only worked for free and without ads, but was by far the easiest to set up and use. Controls can be a bit challenging, but I haven't encountered any bugs yet and am not missing any features. Absolutely recommend

App doesn't work with Pixel 6 Pro on Verizon--the cell connection just drops and resets. I asked my buddy to sign in to my remote computer using his Pixel 6 Pro on GoogleFi and it worked fine. It does work fine for me over wifi. The cellular connection part used to work fine for me on my Pixel 3 when I was on GoogleFi. Now I can use the Chrome browser on Android to sign in when on cellular and that works okay too, but it's clunkier than the app. I've been talking in circles with Verizon support thinking they're blocking something on their end, and there's tons of reports of this app not working on Verizon, but it's weird the Android browser would work okay. Not sure who to blame. Frustrating.

I have no problems connecting to my remote desktop however everytime I have two mouse pointers. I can't right click and the only way to move my cursor is to use the mouse pointer (mouse connected to my phone) to drag the cursor on my remote desktop. I've tried unplugging the mouse from my remote PC but makes no difference. Given up trying to fix it now.

App is becoming out of date The more I use it, the more I notice how lazy Google is about fixing this app. On all my devices I can not access the menu where the mouse and keyboard buttons are on the app. Can't use any computer on the latest updates because it's clicking about 500 pixels from where it should be clicking. I'm looking into alternatives and until Google fixes these UX issues, I'll slowly stop using the app.

Reliable. No nagging, no ads that I can see. Teamviewer and anydesk can go to hell! -- For an outgoing session it (desktop/browser version) seems to want a direct connection, so no proxying through Google as a fallback. The app would benefit from some UI for special keys (arrow keys, pgup/pgdn, home/end, Ctrl, alt, win, F-keys,...)

It worked excellently and perfectly with Windows 10. After upgrading to windows 11 it works but things don't work as they are supposed to. The start menu is off-centered and does not show up normally thought the icons on the menu lie at the center so you end up pressing anything (that did not happen in windows 10). The experience becomes laggy and choppy which was not the case with windows 10. Developers please check what the problem is and fix it ASAP!

Have to downgrade my rating after the app stopped being functional from the last update. Wish I had saved the previous version (or not updated at all)! What broke: The top button bar no longer shows (Moto G Stylus), and cannot be made to drop down either. Imagine trying to sign-in to a remote computer without a keyboard! Plse fix this horrendous bug Google.

Quality has gone downhill recently with the latest Samsung s10 Android update. I constantly have to reconnect or force close the app to fix bugs. The keyboard is not accessible unless you click it the first 2-3 seconds of your connection. Randomly the app runs very slow, other times it runs fine. Connection is strong on both ends, and it works flawlessly when I connect from a web browser on my laptop. The issue seems to be specific to this app. Overall, I enjoy using this app. But the bugs seem to be piling up, and google isn't updating this app any longer.

Worst keyboard functionality I have ever seen. Can't transmit any kind of special keys (shift, alt, etc.) For some reason tapping doesn't always do a proper left click. Sometimes click-and-hold does the trick. Even though that's supposed to be an actual click-and-hold. Very hard to click-and-drag. Honestly very sub par app. Started using this in 2014. Since then I have seen 0 change and improvement. Really disappointing because it's a good foundation that could have been developed further.

Great app. Had an issue after updating to Android 11 where I could no longer access the keyboard as I could before. Just found out that you can swipe down with 3 fingers and you will see the keyboard. So to anyone having this issue, and from the reviews, there are quite a few, swipe down with 3 fingers and you'll be able to access the keyboard as before.

Always used this app. Never had issues. Most people complain about the keyboard and the drop down menu but I found a resolution. By changing between portrait and landscape modes, the top menu bar with mouse, keyboard and menu show up. HOWEVER, sometime between 11am and 3pm Central time on July 21, 2021 there was an update and the keyboard button does not show up at all. I only see the mouse and the three vertical dots (menu) in the drop down. I can't type because there is no keyboard. Please fix

I love the app. I use it everyday. I only have two issues. First one, recently, after updating to Oreo, I found that whenever I type more than 5 characters on anything while on a remote connection it duplicates the text. I type a word with 6 characters, hit space or enter, and it duplicates what I typed on the text field. The other issue is when I type the pin to access my remote connection, after that, when I want to type on a different field it stays on the number keypad rather than switching to the qwerty keyboard... I use the app everyday to help me with school homework while I'm away or whenever I just need to access my computer so these things can be really annoying. Please fix! :(

Works very well for my personal usage after learning the controls such as 2 finger tap to right-click. TeamViewer told me to buy a licence, saying connecting from any non-home network such as public Wi-Fi, mobile data, etc. is commercial use. Not a problem with Chrome and no nagging pop-ups or ads either. The only two improvements I can think of would be sending keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl+C, F keys, etc) and file sending. I use the Windows on-screen keyboard and Google Drive as a workaround.

This app does exactly what it's supposed to. Don't try to use it for any kind of gaming. The lag makes it incredibly difficult to actually do anything. And there's no option that I found to optimize performance over graphics (I personally dont care about graphics if it means smooth FPS) But again. It does exactly what it's meant to do.

The best remote control app. ever. I have used different variants of remote control apps from my phone to my desktop and none are this good at being super fast (little to no lag), high resolution and sound. It's just awesome. TeamViewer is the staple of remote control and it does not even come close to Chrome Remote Desktop. It's just nuts!

Easy to use. I had to learn how to switch between navigation mode and click-on-button mode. Since Amazon Prime Video doesn't have the cast button for Chromecast, Chrome Remote Desktop is a good way around to overcome this lack from Amazon. There is a problem when I want to type in a field, for instance an URL. No keyboard pops up. I'd have given 5* without this probelm.
