Best game of all time... Ruined by terrible app. Let me be clear, as far as the game itself, this is one of, if not my all time favorite game. I've played through countless times, love the characters, the story, the music, the graphics. Absolutely everything is top tier. The app, however, originally it only worked half the time. Now, with the newest update, I can't get it to start AT ALL. Only starts to a black screen and have tried reinstalling, restarting, etc. Nothing works. FIX PLEASE

Okay, I am in 12'000 B.C so have played enough to give an opinion. Controls are awful, worst I have ever seen, I often will click a different move or enemy, he slows down alot in mid run, because for some reason the games virtual joystick doesn't hold well. I do love the anime cut scenes (my fav. Part about it.) The made character screens alot weirded I do not like that change either also one MAJOR bug. Is starting the game, I have to exit and reopen 2-3 times because of black screen.

If I could give it no stars I would. It just doesn't work. Black screen on startup and that's it. If it was a stare into the void simulator it would be perfect ut unfortuanatly it's supposed to be a game. Will be getting a refund EDIT: it takes a few attempts of loading it to get it to work. Bumped up to 3 stars as really it should be reliable

I was warned that it ruined poorly but still wanted to play the game, first time it launched no problem. Afterwards every single time I have runners the game it wouldn't start if I wouldn't close and reopen the game. When I did that no sound was playing, still decided to play it. Then I get to the end of the time and after circling the room three times crono learns magic and it gets stuck in infinite loop of cronos animation. Really disappointed.

Great classic game, and everything was going great until... 2 hours in to the game, suddenly it crashed and when I reopen it - all I get is a black screen. I assumed because overall this had good reviews that the 1 star comments about the black screen were something people experienced sometimes, but no it's nonstop, it blacks out or crashes. Now I'm also having an issue where the story dialogue stops loading and skips so I only see the first like 10 words of each text box, which is really weird

No audio. Deleted, purged cache, reinstalled, and nothing changes. All permissions are allowed and everything else works perfectly. I play Secret of Mana and FFTactics regularly but only CT won't play with audio. Big loss because the audio was AMAZING in the original. The game plays well and was ported pretty well, otherwise! Would easily be 5* if I could heat even the ticking on the load up

Everyone whose purchased this game and has experienced that infamous "blackscreen" where the app seems stuck, I was able to remedy it by scrolling down the 'quick menu setting' on the top of my android phone's screen, and the game works properly. Overall my copy of the game I'm still playing it fine, but needs restarting sometimes because occasionally it doesn't properly load your save file. Also, the android version has the 'animé cutscenes' as well, wait for it on the menu screen.

Doesn't work, can't play. Like others, when I try to start the game up, it just goes to an infinite black screen and never loads up the actual game. Hoping they fix this soon, but I'm not ready to play the game yet anyway so it isn't as big of a deal to me, but yeah I'd like to know that someday, my purchase will be usable. Otherwise, I'll likely just play it via emulation.

While the gameplay is fun and the music is great, I am unable to regularly play the game because sometimes when the game starts, it is stuck on a black screen indefinitely. Restarting doesn't fix the issue. I think it has something to do with the bookmark feature; very often those saves don't work anyways (upon "resume", the game crashes, and upon subsequent restart, resume is no longer there). Please fix your game.

It would be a solid enough port if it wasn't for the really ugly filtering that's been applied to most of the sprites. It has most of the extra content from the DS port and the controls work well (for touch controls), but the graphics filter makes a mess of the spritework and makes the background tiles show seams, which is pretty distracting. It's not even applied consistently (see the boat in the overworld at the beginning). I just wish they gave the option to turn it off, like in the PC port.

Thank God for controller support, playing with touch is bad "bad touch". I'd give it 5 stars but It has bugs loading and crashed on me a few times on my S20fe,good thing that the bookmark feature kept my place right where I was, even found a glitch using the bookmark to respawn enemies to charm for more Magic/Strength capsules. 😀

The game has issues starting up as I have to lock and unlock the tablet I'm playing on after starting the game for it to actually work. Also, the sound doesn't work at all. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any way to turn off the terrible smoothing filter.

*Galaxy S20 1. Game itself is great. 2. Square Tiling alignment error ruins a lot of the graphics(square didn't even bother to fix this for the PC version). 3. I always have to restart the game like 3-4 times inorder for a picture to appear and the sound to be on.

Bought this app on my Samsung Galaxy S10 and it won't launch, all I get is a black screen. Tried restarting my phone, reinstalling the game, tried on my android Samsung Galaxy tablet too, but nothing will work. Bummed because it looks like a good game and I want to play it, but as of right now it was a complete waste of money and Google won't refund me. If anyone has a fix/suggestions please let me know, I've tried everything I could think of.

I love this game, bought it because I had not played it in years. I was about half way through the game, when it would not load for me anymore. All I get is a black screen and nothing else. Hope you can fix whatever the issue is, I have tried all the "fixes" that I could find on other sites to no avail.

Chrono Trigger port? On mobile? Is it worth the price? Is it smooth and not buggy? Doest it brong on the nostalgia for returning players? Does it entertain the players who have not had the pleasure of playing this amazing game before? ABSOLUTELY 100% yes to all of these. Chrono Trigger is an rpg, it has an awesome and loveable cast, a great storyline, unique gameplay and beautiful graphics!!!!! If you have not played this game or it has just been a while, do yourself a favor and get this!!!!

Nice port for the best Classic of all time!! Now the last thing it needs is THE SEQUEL to conclude the whole Chrono Series on Android... Please consider Chrono Cross to be released on Android, we fans need it so much!! Let the frozen time start again!!

Purchased the game because I never got to enjoy it before... I'm only in the first woodland area with green enemies... but when I pick up an item on the first right turn the game just freezes and I can no longer play. This is a repeatable issue is there any chance of a fix?

Edit: issue has been fixed. Great game. Hey just bought and downloaded this game and it won't even boot up. It asked me for permissions (all of which I agreed to) and them just a black screen... I don't want to give this game a one star review cause I loved playing it when I was younger but if this isn't something that can be fixed I'd like my money back please.

Was working just fine up until today. Now all I get is a black screen. I normally only do free apps, and only bought this because it was the best rpg in SNES library, back in the day. I uninstalled several apps just to make room for it. And after all this, I can't even play it!? Unacceptable!

the original was one of the best, perhaps the best, video game ever made. because of gameplay, innovations, and story. this adaptation, as hard as they tried, is still terrible. awful gameplay, nearly no innovation, and with that i can't care for the story. if at least they would turn it into agpl i bet the gameplay would get fixed and everything would work. as it stands, this will forever be my worst game investment in my life!

Truly a great game and have really enjoyed it other than the fact that 80% of the time the game doesn't launch properly leading to no game sound. I can try relaunching over and over until it launches correctly in order for the sound to work.

I upgraded to the S10+ from the S7, and because the game now needs "Google Play services that are no longer available," I can't load my cloud save. I'm pissed. Edit: I decided that I would start over, so when I re-downloaded the game, I noticed that I could grab my old data. Not sure what happened, but problem "resolved." Edit 2022: no audio plays while using a Lenovo Tab P11 Plus tablet.

Nice option if you lack another way to play the game, since it doesn't include animations from the PSX version, or visual improvements from the DS version. Feels outdated in comparison.

I really l love the game, but since the big update the game hasn't been working properly for me. I have to pull up the exit menu to get the game to boot... The game runs good after that, but I don't like that to get the game to run.
