Chronus: Home & Lock Widget

Using the PRO version on android 12:Weather option is crashing a lot, even with 30 min refresh time it doesn't do it and taping refresh has no results. The clock doesn't work well when It comes to alarms it shows some random hours. It has only android 8 + style... We are at 12 and it doesn't look anywhere near the current android. I can carry on but it sad to see such good app being neglected for so long.... Waste of money for the PRO version (I wish there was refund). I hope it improves..

It has very good watch face but, 1. It resets the face & customizations that I made after restarting or disconnecting from phone. 2. Sometimes, it can not be customized even with the phone app connected & the inside settings(from watch) does not work at all. (If I change anything from watch i.e. face or widgets, it doesn't do anything you have to have a phone app installed in your phone to do those changes). Please fix it. I've been using it for so long & I love the face.

Dope app with great widgets. However, my display next alarm has started picking up Samsung Secure Folder alarm triggers. I guess I'll just have to keep the feature turned off because it's annoying displaying alarms that I didn't set.

Great addition to my Android phone. Provides me with all the information and flexibility I have been missing. Purchased the Pro edition and have not regretted it. Keep up the good work.

Have had pro version for yrs, free version before that. Does what it's supposed to do consistently across numerous devices over the years. Just hard to remember which version to install first when I do an upgrade so I can add dark sky API back then upgrade, but that's not the devs fault. Idk why ppl are complaining about data usage, it's a weather app and barely uses any data at all.

Been using the full paid version for some years. Would love an update on general appearance like more weather icons and clock fonts.

Bug report. I had one weekly repeating event in Google Calendar. I have deleted every instance of that event, but it keeps showing up in the widget...

Was using this app forever then all of a sudden today the widget disappeared and won't let me put it back. Samsung note 9

I love Chronus! I've had pro for years and it's the only widget set that has withstood the test of time in my relentless pursuit of the perfect home screen setup. It's simple and customizable, and never falters. I've used it across many different phones and many versions of Android, and it just works. The clock always manages to keep 100% sync with my system's clock without draining battery - a feat that this app alone seems to be able to accomplish!

Almost perfect! Since the last Android update (v11), some icons stopped working (not displaying next to the information) for some (but not all) DashClock extensions. Is this a Chronus issue, or should I contact the developers of the extension? Would love an answer. I've used Chronus for 2 weeks and it used to work perfectly until the last Android update. Feature request: A slider to set the icon size? They look great, but a bit bulky on my home screen! Response = 5 stars 😂

Like it, but keeps crashing now and then. I like the widgets. I have been using it since some time now. Recently however it keeps crashing. And I have to reconfigure my choice of widget which only takes a minute but still is pretty annoying. I'm considering to go pro but really sceptical about it since this recent experience.

Great App. Good choice of widgets and display options. However, I have no clock alarms set and my home screen widget is showing an upcoming alarm. This is probably related to another App, but I can't find out which one and Chronus doesn't give any other information. Frustrating .. Update: I un-installed Chronus, rebooted the phone and then re-installed. Now working fine.

Edit: Seems the laugging problem is with Samsung. Hopefully they will fix it. Thanks to the excellent help from Chronus developer and for the great widget. Can't find anything else that replicates the functionality. Previous: I'm having problems with Android 10 and One UI 2.0 on my NOTE 10+. Returning to home screen is extremely laggy and sluggish.

More or less does what I wanted. The main issues are: alarm, displayed on widget show the alarm being set 5 minutes earlier that it is actually set; Sometimes some components/parts of widget stops working temporarily; lack of comfortable layout possibilities (I did use other app earlier, but it is no longer developed and incompatible with latest Android). So, reasonably OK, even if not perfect.

Dashclock extensions don't work and ones that used to show up have disappeared. Also the calendar is no longer working despite my going to great lengths to check everything is set up correctly in the app and all the phone's settings. Still giving 3 stars because there is a lot to like about Chronos but it's becoming unreliable sadly.

Good, exactly what I was missing after switching from Google pixel. Problem with calendar tho: it doesn't appear, says Insufficient permissions. I willing to buy the pro, but won't with no calendar option. Update: day after the app was installed and widget activated all problems with weather/calendar update dissapeared by themselves! Great, now I will purchase pro version. Thanks!

Very nice app I love the customization. The different choices of weather providers is a plus. You guys really stay on top of the app. by updating it and always trying to improve it. I know that people complain about the weather not being right or other problems. People need to know that no app is perfect they all have there problems. Just keep up the hard work you guys are doing. I do appreciate it and my experience with this app is great.

In the last version calendar events from the widget dissappear only after some considerable time once they are deleted from the calendar. Android 9/10 style clock would be a nice addition. Overall a good app and I've been using it for a long time, has a lot of customization options.

Coming from DarkSky: The widgets work well enough and the notification is good. I'd love if both could show a similar timeline of the next few hours (instead of days). Maybe a configuration to change the times to show in the available slots. Just went Pro and glad to pay for the `Forecast (Pro)` widget. Minor Issue: With dark mode enabled on the device I was unable to see the minimal icons since they always showed up very dark grey.

I just use the flex widget for time, date weather, and calendar events 12 hours out to keep a nice, minimalist utilitarian home screen to show me only the info I need. Extra nice that a tap on weather can open my preferred weather app (AccuWeather). Only thing it's missing for my use case is Microsoft To Do integration. Otherwise, perfect for my needs.

I have been using this app for years, and really love it. Even paid for the pro version way back. However the last week or so it's been forgetting that I have pro, redoing my widgets, then saying I have to rebuy the pro version. I tried to follow the prompts to refresh the play store, but it won't even do that. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but that only worked for a day before doing it again. Hopefully this gets fixed soon.

This is my favorite clock / info widget! All license issues resolved by Dev! Good support.

It's pretty good but its hard to set up because when you click to create an account to get your weather provider API it cancels the widget creation so you lose your progress. Most of the useful features are locked behind a paywall but that's totally fine considering the reasonable price and hard work that has obviously been put into this well thought out app.

Widget frequently does not update. Change time zones? Turn on an alarm? No update until I open and then exit the settings menu.

It's a great app other than the next alarm display on the widget showing incorrect time. Any chance of fixing that ? Thanks

Decent customisation, at least with pro features, might make this a first choice for others, but for me, not being able to group calendar events by day (?) and the complete lack of calendar event backgrounds or any kind of separator makes the calendar too hard to read to the point where there is no reason to have a homescreen widget in the first place.

I had to replace my clock and weather widget (HD Widgets) because it disappeared from the play store. Chronus was the best one I could find out of the many I tried. Feature request: please add a hotspot to open my preferred weather app, also add accuweather as a weather provider. Update: Thanks for the response, I found the tap action setting and it works great.

I would give this a 5 star rating except for the fact that at least once per day the text size of the widget changes to real small text from the larger text that I had prior. Such a hassle. Not worth it. Looking for something better. This only started following their most recent update. Appears they destroyed an otherwise nice widget. Yes, I have upgraded to the pro version. Only made it worse.

Second Update - After entering the stock info yet again, I just successfully did an update without losing anything! Thank you for looking into this, the reply, and the fix. Back the it's previous glory! Update - happened again after most recent update. This is really aggravating, what's the point of the backup feature?... Lost all stock info after last update. Restore function does not work to bring them back.
