App was good until I discovered how frequently it dishes out first player to the first person to put their finger on the app. Tested it over and over. 95 percent of the time, first touch goes first. Update-Further testing has revealed that the behavior I was seeing that day no longer exists. Seems to be pretty randomized. Could have been just the circumstances that day. We tested it over and over and were shocked how frequently the app would choose the first finger to touch the screen.
originally downloaded to decide who goes first in board games or card games, which it's perfect for. I've used this to decide whether or not to call out of work, which restaurant to go to, which haircut to get, and more! This had become such a staple of game nights that it's the short cut on my tablets lock screen. Never had a problem with it, the visuals and sounds are really pleasant too.
The application still works just fine. But there has been no update since 2013. It's now 2019. Currently Android 10 will complain that this is for an older version of Android. Currently the application still performs but this may not be the case going forward. Also note that there is no such thing as an application that has not been updated in 5 years yet containe no vulnerabilities. Users be warned basically. Still 4 stars for no adds and being simple.
It's great, though there is one problem. No matter how many fingers I used, it would always go from 1st to the 2nd to 3rd and so on.. The app will choose the other person for the second time no matter what. So you will win if you press the button a bit later than the other person. And for the second round, you will win if you press before the other person cause it will choose the second person this time. It needs to be randomized, not in order. This also goes for multiple finger applications. 3*
Last updated 7 years ago... Once you reach max level, you stop leveling. This app is literally perfect. It does exactly what it should exactly the way it should. It could not be better. Simplicity is a feature, and this app is sublime in its simplicity.
Looks like a super cool concept but it hasn't been updated since 2003 so it doesn't actually work on my my newer phone. It never actually chooses a colour, just says there blinking around the fingers. Indefinitely.
The start screen of app lasts long. I think it should have no start screen at all. It's a very tiny app. It shouldn't need 3 seconds to start on a snapdragon 888 cpu! Just go to main interface.
Simple elegant way of choosing who goes first, or selecting teams. No ads, no distractions, just open and touch your fingers to the screen.
Now this is interesting... My hardware limit on past Android devices had mostly been 5 fingers. Except for a disappointing 2 fingers on some select Samsung phones... BUT, just tested it on a Amazon Fire (8th generation) and so far it's working with 10 fingers! I'd test for that upper limit of 32, but I don't want other people's dirty fingers on my nice new screen.
The ultimate decision maker. Absolutely useful in determining player orders or picking teams (using the Groups function instead of Fingers function). I've never encountered any bugs, and have solidly incorporated this into my daily life, choosing restaurants, netflix shows, and shirts to wear. The cure for decision fatigue!
This app is the best when you have kids. Can't agree on where to eat? Chwazi. Can't decide who gets to go first? Chwazi. I've been using this app for a while and it just makes picking things easier. Sometimes if I can't decide between 2 things, I'll like my index finger be item "A" and my middle finger be item "B". Whichever one lights up is the one I pick.
A really great app for deciding who will start a game or selecting teams. Unfortunately, I bought a new phone with the resolution 21:9 and the app, although fincional, leaves a lot of unused space on the screen. Wish a new update comes to make full use of the new screens.
Loved this app as it did exactly what it is supposed to do and it did up to 10 fingers. Now on the same phone, it only does 3 fingers. Wish I had not updated this app. It was more useful and functional with the older version. Can I still download the older version? If so, I'd be happy to change this back to a 5 star review.
Amazing app. Perfect for choosing people for games etc. I've had maximum 15 fingers on the app on my phone. No problem there. Sometimes there's a bug where fingers don't register but vary rarely and just requires a few attempts.
App appears to be abandoned by the developer, but at the same time, it still works. We used to use it to determine teams and starting players for board games. Now I mainly use it to determine which multiple choice option will be the correct one.
On my Google Pixel 3A with Android 10, the app never chooses a winner. It makes all the cute noises, detects my fingers, and gives them different colors. But regardless of how long I wait, it never chooses a winner.
Great App. Got shown this at a board games meet up. Now I use it almost everytime to determine first player, groups and tie breakers instead of what rule book says =). Easy to use once you figure out how to use it. I managed to work it out with out instructions (probs recommend reading it haha)
Great idea and execution. Sadly, I can't use it because my phone only accepts two fingers, but the graphics are amazing and colors joyful.
As a teacher, I find this app endlessly useful for picking teams. Students will always complain about the result of any other method of choosing, but they love their phones; so this is a great choice for that
I use this app as a university tutor to decide on order that groups should present. It works really well and the students get a kick out of it. I'd love an option to set order by slowly dropping off the fingers.
So simple and intuitive and lazer focused on one purpose: Choosing I use this every time we play a game or as a coin flip alternative (especially when deciding between more than 2 options).
This app is extremely popular in my circles as a means of choosing the first player for board games. However i am on the verge of uninstalling it because i cannot figure out how to turn off the sounds (other than turning media volume down)
In some ways, when you've only got a few minutes to spare, playing around with this is actually more fun then a game app. Also, it'll distract any child under 4 for at least 2min.
Hey, the app have a problem on One plus devices. When I put 4 or more fingers in the same time on the screen it displays only 3 fingers. But if I put 4 fingers one at time it works properly. I checked on One plus 5/6/7 devices, Please fix it.
It does what it says Quickly and effectively. No weird permissions, requests or ads. My fav app in the world. Amazing as a regular boardgamer.
Great way to choose people for things. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that the instructions under your group setting is incorrect (at least with my testing) - it seems to pick the number of groups, not the amount of people per group (tried it with 5 fingers, got 2 groups).
Doesn't work - fingers are registered with colors, but none eventually gets picked. It just stays on the selection mode and never moves on.
My friends must think I get paid to promote this app because I bring it up at every opportunity to mention it, I've been using it for years! I absolutely love this app, it'll pick things for us when we're being indecisive.
i got this for picking a start player in games, but have found it incredibly effective for resolving stupid "who goes first" disputes between my young daughter's. Its visual and gives them participation so they generally accept the results even when they dont like them.
Bug or feature? I started noticing patterns, so I ran tests with four fingers. In none of them did the first finger on the phone screen get selected. The numbers were within expected limits for randomness on the others (second = 10, third = 13, fourth = 8). Seems to me like a bug. For playing games, this may actually be a feature. People like going first, so you can ensure that you as the host are not chosen. If using this, as suggested, to decide who pays the bill, this seems like an underhanded backdoor.
