In a digital age, it's truly baffling how incompetent this company is at anything built with 1s and 0s. They say that streaming is superseding the movies: why go out to watch when you can order in? I think the people who manage Cineplex's online operations might actually work for Netflix. Everything is slow and difficult. I just don't get it.
Horrible don't waste your time. Takes too much resources to run, takes to long to respond. For some reason it hides your scene number. Only works on brand new phones. Won't let your phone enlarge the barcode it needs to get scanned. The process for entering Cosco vouchers is really maddeningly confusing.
Almost over 1 million downloads and I would call this one hell of a disappointment. I have been trying to download this app for the last two days only to accept a ticket shared across by my friend only to see that share by email is not recognised & open the ticket via app required me to create an account. I have been trying to create a frigging account only to get the error messages. This is really sad.!!
App was working great until they got rid of the ability to log into my account using my Microsoft account. Now the app has become completely useless to me since I can't sign in, or use my scene card with another account.
Absolutely wasted my time by even downloading this app. Keeps saying unexpected error has occurred while trying to create an account. Finally created an account after trying a million times, now I can't login or buy tickets!! Same error shows up!!!
Barely functional. Can add my scene card. Can't get payment methods to work. Neither my Visa Debit, or Mastercard work. I can get to the verify payment code and suddenly an error comes up. Using their website yeilds even worse results. Takes minutes to load any page. Same problem with payment methods. Gross.
Cineplex needs to remove ads from this app. Shameless greed. The app design is outdated and slow in general. Also, the app constantly logs your account out, then when you go to reset it, it says you can't reuse a password 🤔.
Redeeming Scene points does not work though it shows the number of points accurately. At the movie theater I was told that "yea, the app and website can be annoying". So that was helpful...
It seems impossible to sign up for the cineclub from inside the app, the pages don't load properly, I've tried to make it work for 20 minutes now and I just gave up on it. Pure garbage.
I genuinely Hate how stupid the set up is to redeem my points on the scene plus app I need to make a whole separate account and connect my card to this app and it's honest to God the stupidest most annoying thing they could have done. Who the hell makes so many God damn apps when all I want to do is redeem a stupid 7 dollar movie ticket, it won't let me link my card saying it's connected to a different account yet I have sent email after email to rest passwords and they never work. Not worth it.
Impossible to see if a presentation is in French or English... You end up having to go on the website instead... but even that is a bit sluggish. Disappointed.
No way to transfer tickets to another theater or refund directly from the app. The fact you can't do this within the app is stupid. Cineplex wants to know why people don't go to them and they switch to landmark, its reasons like this.
Just keeps getting worse... Constantly crashing, unable to accept shared tickets... Can't forget the popup ads for movies while your trying to navigate.
Made an order online, received 1 item out of 4. Told the waiter (vip cineplex) never came back. Contacted consumers service, only got a confirmation email, never talked to anyone. The cheesecake tasted the freezer. Very bad first experience.
Utterly worthless app. Cannot even log me in. Allows me to log in for help, but that does not then log in to the main system. Wow, what a bad app for servicing such a large business
Not able to login through Facebook or google now because I keep getting an error. I have tried everything I can think of to fix the issue with no luck.
Cannot checkout or add payment information. App does not work anymore. Cannot buy tickets, cannot join Cineclub ! Cannot access live chat for help ! Waste my time !
The app logged me off and is not letting me log in with my Facebook that is how I created the account! Already tried online and keeps not working!! Please solve ASAP!!!
Since update I can no longer sign in. I press forgot password which I know by heart and it takes me to another online cineplex . Since it is a browser cineplex website it works but the app does not. Please fix it
Cineplex seems determined not to sell any tickets. I try to buy them on the website and it wont load. Download the app and what do you know, same problem. Unbelievable.
Unable to sign, changed my password twice and it still won't allow me to sign in on the app, but I can sign in on the website fine
The animations are clunky and jittery, there are full screen ads (Which I thought were against the Play Store's ToS) and the UI is ugly and hard to navigate. My advice: Just download an older apk version of this app (back when the UI was all blue is the easiest way to tell if you have the right version) and use that. This app is a mess.
I find myself having to re-log in every time I use the app to buy tickets. Sometimes it works. Most times it doesn't.
I don't know what happened to this app. It used to work but now it signed me out and I can't get back onto it. I'd logged in through Facebook in the past and not an error keeps showing up. I've reinstalled it a few times to no prevail. There's not other theatre chain near me and I've always gone to cineplex. With pushing the whole buying tickets online you'd think they'd try and focus on fixing their app.
