Circle of Fifths

It`s a small lightweight application of Circle of Fifths. In music theory, the circle of fifths (or circle of fourths) is the relationship among the 12 tones of the chromatic scale, their corresponding key signatures, and the associated major and minor keys.
At the top, you have the key of C major, which has no sharps or flats in its key signature. Each stop on the circle as you go clockwise from C is a key with one more sharp than the previous key. Each stop as you go down counter-clockwise from C is a key with one more flat than the previous key.

Great setup but the minor chords should be indicated with lower case Arabic and Roman numerals, where appropriate. That's because such labeling conveys a better understanding of both chord forms and nature of such cords, at a glance. It's also consistent with spelling out chord progressions, as seen in written music, such as a jazz Fake Book. With such a change this app would get 5 stars.

The circle is well presented but some things need to be different. There are no enharmonic keys such as C# Major, Gb Major and Cb Major so the keys end at 6 sharps and 5 flats instead of showing all the way up to 7. The stave lines are too faint and don't show a chef so the sharp or flat positions are meaningless. The 3rd ring added for the sake of chord VII is generally unnecessary. If this was changed slightly as mentioned, I would recommend this app to all of my pupils without delay.

Works well to give you a visual of all the relative chords in each key. Makes translation of one key to another easy. Improvements could include hearing the root note of each chord on tap maybe the whole chord on quick double tap. Chord spellings and inversions too. Show common chord changes.

PERFECT circle of fifths app. You don't need anything more than this. Does exactly what it says, without problems. Coloring arrangement makes it even easier for beginners to understand the circle of fifths.

I use it frequently when transposing. Great visualisation with coloring. Unobtrusive advertising banner. Would be even better if you could hear any chord be played when pressing it on the circle. Thanks.

Simple, and just works as it's intended to. The design is just perfect. Contains ads but not intrusive, just doesn't feel like does. Good job dev.

Simple, clean layout. Nice to have in your tool bag for easy quick reference. I have some other apps with the circle of fifths info and other things but this is the one I always pull up to use.

I think it's just a picture that I can get lots of with any browser. It's not worth putting in an app unless its interactive and probably should play notes as sounds? At least that was my expectation.

Very simple and fast to use. Just tap on the key you want to know about and it show you what other chords are in that key. Very useful for this beginning guitarists.

Great it makes chord selection easy in the various keys. It would have been even been better if it has shown the sharps and flats and how to play the chords.

Perfect! It does exactly what it should without any clutter. Plus the diminished chords are included. Wouldn't change a thing.

A very rudimentary app that displays a circle of fifths chart which can be rotated to highlight sets of related chords. No landscape mode. Uses a huge amount of storage for what it does.

For quick use and reference it's perfect. I can think of other things that could be added for quick references which would be useful

It spins the circle, as such it hinders the creation of a mental model. It's a toy and does not support learning.

Cool app - would be cool if there were different mode scales underneath the wheel, and not just major and minor. Would that be possible?

This is the app you can click the note to spin the whole circle so you can see the key better. Simple and very useful.

Easy to use application with nice graphics and smooth animations . Most importantly, however, it is truly useful.

Just what I wanted - a quick, simple and straightforward reference with no bells and whistles to complicate things.

Perfect. Interactive, so only need to click the key of choice to get it on top. No more twisted necks! ;-)

I thought it was good, but what's the use of it can't even give me a sound. I appreciate other things in it, but for the fact that there's no sound then everything is to a waste. Otherwise fix it please.

Overly simple app that only displays sharps and flats for key of note pressed .. doesn't play sound of note pressed
