Circuit Builder

Circuit Builder is designed to be an introduction to constructing and operating electronic circuits. Intuitive controls and layout make Circuit Builder the perfect App for understanding the basics of electrical and electronic circuits. Circuit Builder has been optimised for use on tablets, but also works well on large screen smart phones.
Build your own virtual circuits using any combination of electrical components. The easy to use library of components includes batteries, switches, lamps, resistors (fixed and variable), capacitors, fuses, circuit breakers, buzzers, heaters and motors. Connect components using virtual wires to make a circuit. Put the App into operate mode to see it work. You can even use virtual multimeters to measure voltage, current and resistance.

Circuits can be viewed and built in either component or schematic view.

The component library contains the following items:

Batteries*1.5V, 6V, 9V and 12V

SwitchesPush-to-make, Push-to-break, On-Off, 2-position single-pole, 3-position single-pole,3-position double-pole, Thermal and Relay

Lamps6V (5W) clear, 12V (10W) clear, 12V (20W) clear, 12V (20W) red, 12V (20W) yellow and 12V (20W) blue

Resistors10Ω (5W), 50Ω (5W), 100Ω (5W), 500Ω (5W), 1kΩ (5W), 5kΩ (5W) and 10kΩ (5W)

Variable Resistors10Ω, 25Ω, 50Ω, 100Ω, 1kΩ and 10kΩ

Capacitors*500μF, 1mF, 5mF, 50mF, 100mF, 500mF and 1F

Fuses0.5A, 1A, 1.5A, 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A, 7.5A and 10A

Read the description carefully before you decide to buy n download. It an app for learning a very electronic component like bulb, switch, resistor and battery. No much to play with.

Great! Please add power component generator for energy source. And a full bridge rectifier!! Thank you

i like the application simple but very limited component add more resistor, capacitor ,transistor and ic bcos limited also limit my rating up to 3 stars

App will not even load on Galaxy Note10+5G or Tab S4, I have refunded for now, but would be interested if this was fixed.

app cant open and keeps crashing

Is not working for my Samsung galaxy note 9

Hug. M. May 17, 2019

spent $20 and the app won't even start. Don't throw away your money for nothing.

You should always update this app because of people just like me who uses this app at school

I know it's a basic learning tool. However, I'm in my 3rd year of electronics and there are SO many cool things you can add. Like AC sources, transistors, diodes and inductors. Please add these and I would definitely pay more to get those upgrades.

Price is too high for app complexity. A lot of components could be added, like: diodes, clocks, etc. Graphical interface is good, specially that you can choose from component view and symbol view. Sound effect I think was not necessary but is not so bad.

I like the layout. I was most disappointed that you cannot manipulate current wiring resistors in parallel with each other. Would have been nice to see a 24v heater run off a 12v battery. Also need to be able to run multiple batteries on the same circuit.

I like this app alot, it's googd for simulating small circuts. But i would like it more if you were able to add more than one capacitor because i feel abit limited. But its still a great app, great for blowing components up

Not sure if I'm doing things wrong but can't get capacitors to charge.

So awesome, you can even make the lights blink like Christmas lights and there are capacitors and resistors and it's great for people who are interested in electronics

I am taking the automotive service and repair course and would consider myself to be a novice at best. But it would be extremely nice to have a 12V relay and or more 6V bulb options. Having a 6V relay really limits the uses in a 12V circuit. Please update this app as it has huge potential with just a few more components. Thanks and good luck.

It's great for the basics but it could be so much better and have so many more components and customization

Lis. S. Nov 8, 2015

Nice. But would be better if there were more components I.e. intergrated circuits and LED's.

Mit. B. Feb 22, 2016

Love the app but one bug I find is the 12v battery doesn't work so I need to hook up the 6v battery's in parallel

abd. s. Jul 11, 2019

great application but the variable resistor cannot varied it is act as switch not like the actual vriable resistor and the components fix value cannot change or choose any value for designing, pls. add more resistor, transistor e.t.c

It's a good app but, I believe it should have more parts and that you can put more than one capacitor. Other than that it a good app; in other words I consider it very simple, mostly because of the price for the app.

Needs blocking diodes and one way components like iso caps

Jim. K. Feb 14, 2018

Love it but it need more parts like many some more like AC and DC power

qor. f. Jun 15, 2017

Apps its good but the components collection to small and no LED component

A. G. u. Jun 10, 2014

If possible, please add the ability to create custom Components. Thank you.

Jac. K. Jul 9, 2018

It's good, but for $3 I'd expect there to be diodes and transistors

Ran. L. Oct 1, 2014

Need to add solar panels and photo-switches, one way diodes

wyl. g. Sep 8, 2018

Good basic sim, but where are the diodes ..? Plz can we have some diodes so many circuits rely on them... Thanks...
