This app is great! (For uninstalling). Extorts people for stuff you can do on a pc, while also raking in revenue from obnoxious ads. On top of all this, good luck getting it access your storage, even when you have manually enabled it. My assumption is that the uploader (won't call them dev) has took some open source, did and absolutely gash job of rehashing it, and tried to make money off it. No coding skills whatsoever here unfortunately. Avoid this, and use your PC.
I assume that this is either a bug or I'm lacking second sort of permissions. I don't know the API that well. Note that I was using 6.0.1 on an nvidia shield tablet. Tried this on my 5. Something phone and it seems to work. Now to just transfer the file over
It DOES work but it's best in tandem with the compression key app that goes with this. This works very well indeed, chopping as much as 50-60% off the footprint of some smaller ROMs, while other, larger ones may only get a 15-25% compression, but when you're talking about files over 1GB, even that is a very handy per-ROM saving indeed and since it enables you to have more PSP ROMs in the same space, and since it's the ONLY app of it's kind on Android (I think), it's pretty obvious that everyone who emulates PSP on Android should have this app. A few things I noted, however; 1. The paid app let's you compress files of any size, so if you're trying to compress massive files and you didn't get the compression key app, you're screwed. 2. The paid app is only a 'key' so you need THIS one, too. It caught me out for a long time. I thought it was the switch I made to 5.1.1 but I think it was just coincidental that the nature of the paid app changed at around the same time, from a standalone app to a 'key' for the unpaid, main app. 3. I find NOT setting it to autodelete iso files after completing a compression will prevent crashes. On my Nvidia Shield Portable, it always crashes now whenever I tick that box. Until the developer fixes what I'm sure is a pretty minor problem, I think it's a small price to pay to simply delete the iso manually, afterwards. With the caveat of the understanding of the above 3 points, I have nothing but good to say about this app, it's perfect and can only really be bettered by doing more of the same. Having said that... it too much too ask that the developer make an app that can compress the files for ALL large ROM files? I have a heaving PSX library and sacrifices in my PC Engine CD and Saturn collection are having to be made. Nice app. Does what it says it will.
This is really good people should stop complaining and by the way their really is no source code for this app. He did a great job! It probably took him awhile I'm a Dev too this app suitable and the only one out there so stop complaint oh and the Java error pops up because off lack of storage permissions on Android 5.1 + I'm no complainer but he could compile the app on the latest SDK and ndk so that it has the storage thing fixed
Doesn't work - Even if you give the app write permissions it still cannot write a file to your SD card. Probably has not been updated to work with Android 6/7.
I would love to give it 5 stars but my only gripe is that I don't really know how to buy the key. It says I need it to compress my iso file because it exceeds the free limit and asks if I wish to go to the play store. I say yes and then it just takes me to the CISO app page and my only options are "open" or "uninstall." It's very frustrating so if you could make it easier to buy the key like make it an in app purchase or something then I could actually get some use out of it and update this review to 5 stars.
Null error keeps showing and I can't compress file. Please help asap
This null pointer error is a huge problem.I just can't access the file I want to convert.
Simply doesn't work. Even after buying the pro key, converting a CSO into an ISO ALWAYS results in an "out of memory" error, and a 0-byte ISO file size. Even tested it on a 75MB CSO (Super Stardust Portable).
I loved this app it compresses best and i test it works fine great app but some peaples which have anddoid version 6.0 or above face the java problem to fix that go to settings then go to apps find this app permissions tab and gave all permisions and then it wont give any error
It doesn't even work with large files, it tries to charge you money for something that is free on PC.
Thus app doesn't seem to have been updated to allow file/folder access for newer Android OS's. As such, like other users have mentioned, it keeps giving "null access" error messages. Until it's fixed, it's broken.
No checks for storage permissions. After compression starts select file dialog appears over progress view.
This null pointer error seems to be the bane of everyone right now, myself included.
When it was paid with no ads. Now it has ads. Remove my ads please then I'll update to 5 stars
It's complicated but I give it 3 stas
It conveniently can't convert over 768mb without a "magical" key, Oh and the ads are obnoxious and persistent. Anyone with a pc can convert this without it's shameless key.
People that are complaining ..are you thick or summit? This app is excellent and does what it says...and also to the people complaining because the key isn't free...shut the hell up already!!! Do you expect everything free of charge...people have to earn a living you know!!! Thankyou Dev for your hard work in giving us The ONLY Iso to CSO app available.
Cool wow I don't know who came with this but it's wasome
Don't use this app (700mb limit!). Instead download isotool from the net and run it on ppsspp. Its a psp homebrew that works on ppsspp! It is quite slow compared to others but it works every time (isotool). Just make a folder called ISO in your sdcard and place the ISO file to convert it to CSO.
It says that "Please buy key to convert files greater than 768 mb without compression, this file has 1531.28 mb"... I cant convert my file
I am ok with ads on the app. But for paid users can you disable the ads that popup before the compression starts. I understand you still need to make money. Just for paid users no pop ups.
This is a great app I don't know why it's rated so close it works efficiently and flawless that I'm dumbfounded
Purchased licence key and allowed permissions to access the storage from the apps settings page and the app still isn't showing any of my downloaded Iso files
As far as I can tell this app works great here. On some games this app shaves around 500mb or more off the original file size.
I will bump my review up if someone can tell me what files it requires to compress as an iso, because I have the folder for the game I want to compress, but obviously it doesn't want that so please help. Also, if anyone wants to know why you can't get into your files, its because you have to go to 'sdcard' not storage, idk why its like that but it just is. Now can someone please help me!!
When I go to select input. Nothing shows up at all. But I can see the file plain as day in my phone and on the computer. I've already redownloaded the file twice still won't show.
Lol what a joke, I can't even find the file I downloaded.
Crashes instantly upon opening. I'm very disappointed with this app.
Wonderful, truly succeeds at it's purpose. FOR THOSE WHO ARE STRUGGLING; you must go to your Settings/Storage and find this App. Then go on the Application Permissions and turn 'Storage' ON. If it is off then that is the reason you wil recieve the Java error.
