I have found this app very useful when choosing the colours for my 40, 000 miniatures. It has some flaws though. Firstly, when playing any video the app doesn't allow you to flip your screen ane it stretches the image vertically. Secondly, not all of the paints are up to date and there are many new types that aren't included in the app. Other than that I have found it very useful and helped a lot with painting Warhammer models. Update your APP! It would be a 5⭐if you had updated it so DO IT NOW

The app has a lot of potential, but doesn't really seem to be supported anymore. Theres a number of paints that have been released that aren't listed and most models aren't listed. Honestly a shame considering this is what kept me mostly buying Citadel. Didn't have to worry about accidentally buying duplicate paints, just check the app list and go. Its getting less and less useful as more and more paints don't have a listing.

I'm really enjoying using the app, really easy to use and is sorted into all the categories I need, like the paint list which you can see the ones you want or which ones you have, different bases(really helpful as I just didn't know how to create the ones I want) etc. One thing though is that the app looks like it isn't updated as not all of the recent paints are on there. But overall really good app if you like to paint your figures

This looks like it would have been a great app however it also looks like it has been abandoned. I have only just downloaded the app and I have found that it is really not up to date in the slightest and so many paints and units are missing. Really hope GW come back and update the app and keep it up to date with all the new units, paints and designs because right now there are nowhere near the full amount of miniatures or paints on the app.

Good but could be so much better. What it has is useful, with it's range of guides and how-tos, the ability to create projects, add models and highlight what paints you have and need. But definitely needs to be updated with a LOT more models and their paint guides. All the information is on the Games Workshop site, so only needs to be pulled into the app.

Good, but could be so much better. I like the inventory tracker a lot. But there are paints missing. Notably Tesseract Glow. Additionally, I've enjoying having the videos on hand, but there's only a fraction of what's on the website. I have other things to nit-pick but those feel preferential and not systematic. Honestly the app feels like a beta, with so much missing. Please keep updating!

I like the idea behind the app. I really dislike the limited amount of information the app provides. It would be nice if they updated the app. Maybe instead of having 4 different hormagaunts you have a unit option then a drop box with all the different paint schemes to choose from. It would also be nice to have all the units available to see to get ideas for the armies.

I really like the updates that have been made to the app, including the step by step paint guides for each model, unfortunately the app keeps crashing every time i try to do anything. The 20% of the time it works, I quite like it. Im using the latest update as of june 26. Update: got a new phone and it no longer crashes. I bumped the score up from a 3 to a 4. I would give a higher score if they supported more miniatures and the painting guides were a little bit more in-depth. 360° models, too?

Really useful, I wish it was updated more often. Some of the colour suggestions are very questionable, and the app crashes an awful lot. The paint inventory is extremely helpful though, and you can use keywords like Nurgle to find all the models in a particular range. One of my biggest peeves is the paint inventory's drop down list that closes each time you make a change; I don't want to open it up a bunch of times to deselect all paint types except one! It's very time-consuming.

The 'good' - It's a good app. Handy for keeping your inventory logged. Great for keeping lists of colours together for projects. Ignore the people whinging about dry brushing being missing. It's not important. The 'ok' - Could do with some more basing plans. The step by steps arent great, as they don't explain between a full layer or thick highlight, and the image doesnt help. The 'bad' - It hasn't been updated since Nov 2019 (8 months). Just not acceptable. Some filters are still broken.

Great idea but could be a million times better. Next to no models are on there and you have to get rid of your keyboard for it to actually search. Sure it gives you the base units but i wish there were more vehicles. There is no difference in photos between classic and contract. You need to speak with users and have app testers. Otherwise you'll be known for incomplete apps.

I love the layout with the release of Contrast, but I really don't like the complete removal of the drybrush areas, as its what I mainly used on the old version. Also crashes constantly in the "Paint by Model" sections. I'd love to see drybrush added back in, and model updates down the line, like they said were coming. Overall a very good resource, but I'm not entirely happy with the update.

It's a moderately useful app, but it's missing a lot of models. I really wish they'd add older ones back. It's even missing some major characters, like the Verminlords and Thanquol & Boneripper. "Colour" update: Ever since they updated to the new design, it is now almost useless offline. You can't view swatches, how-tos, etc., just your inventory section, as no pics will load up w/out internet. Good thing it's FREE!

I like the paint inventory ability a lot. I noticed though that textures, discontinued colors, and some others are not able to be added. That's a shame because I would live to have my full paint inventory in one spot. Would also like to see captioning on the videos. These videos are not so useful if sound is not a possibility.

This app has potential, but it is so much worse than before the update. The camera to scan the paints doesn't recognize a lot of the paints, the way the colour schemes are presented is less convenient. On the plus side, you can save the projects now. But I am worried what will happen with the saved items when there is a new update.

It's okay. That's it. There are a lot of models missing and not a lot of options, no Ork Deff Dread and only a single option for imperial fists. I suppose you can swap certain schemes out but as an app with steps for complete beginners the app should help with this. I haven't touched my paints in more than twenty years and want to start painting again but this app doesn't help with learning what I need etc. As I said, it's okay. That's it.

App is great, although I don't use your paints, it is nice to get ideas and view different models released for the games. Would give 5 stars but there are 2 key features missing for it to be the complete package. 1) Ability to filter or search for an army ie tyranids/space marines/nurgle. For someone new to the game wanting to see what each army can bring to the table it would be fantastic to put in an army and see everything. 2) Ability to filter or search by game ie bloodbowl/40k/aos. Would make it easier to look for fun to paint models for a specific game you are already playing or want to get in to. I definitely recommend this app, even if you don't use Citadel paints. It gives you so many ideas and ways to do certain color schemes and the select color from image is absolutely amazing

I like the app and I have use this app many times during my painting sessions. The only proplem i have is the guide videos. For whatever reason, the video is stretched out vertically, which makes it hard to understand the video. If this was fixed, i would be glad to use the tutorial section, but untill then, i won't be using the tutorial section anytime soon.

A great app. The only feature I'm missing, is the option to add your own colour way under my projects. It only gives you the original scheme, but if you want to paint your models differently and want to save your colours for your own reference you can not do so. if you were to add that feature, this would be a 5* app in my eyes.

Coo. A. Sep 23, 2019

The previous version of the app was a step above this one. It's still good to get ideas but the more you use it the more you find all the various little niggling faults that still hasn't been fixed. These range from missing example pictures, incomplete instructions or even outright wrong ones, shade entries being found in the weirdest places (ex. Horn listed under Orange) and some entries being listed twice as well. On my issues list I think I've counted at least 32 entries. Then there's paints outright missing as well, none of the new flesh paints get any step by step instructions for instance. Then there's the fact that drybrushing has been relegated to a step being used in some shade steps sometimes. The step by step UI is a complete mess as well as there is no distinction made between layering and highlighting which can be really confusing at times. Combined this with missing instructions makes for a mess at times. The paint by model section feels like it's missing colours as well but that was a think with the first version as well. I'd rather recommend the predecessor version than this one because that one at least felt a lot more complete and showed progression in a clear and understandable way. Edit: Also the bug where your colour or model selections randomly disappears from your project is rather annoying as well. Flicking back and forth between models/colours works but still annoying whenever it happens.

Edit from my last review: After a few updates, the app is working fine again. It's very helpful, the videos are a great plus. The reference figures can save you a lot of time when you have an idea of what do you want but don't know the exact colour. The inventory and wishlist is a saver, though I wish the data could be saved in the account so when you change phone or device, you don't have to enter every paint again. App is a saver, and I wouldn't imagine myself painting without it
