Ok , i hope you are paying attention. 1.Is it possible when notification is marked on phone the seconds hand to move back to normal state (normal is counting , not just pointing info) , its very inconvenient to push down button in order to release it , especially if you are receiving more than one notification per hour...2. BT stability is questionable but its a solar powered device , disconnecting 1-2 times per 6-7 hours , mostly on random basis , any way great W770 great brand , keep walking
The watch is great but the bluetooth feature does not work well. The watch does not automatically reconnect to the Citizen App after disconnection due to distance related link loss. It's not practical to keep fidling with your phone to reconnect all day. I am surprised that a large established company such as Citizen is having an issue with a basic feature.
Works fine when connected, though would be nice to be able to have notifications from any app. The real problem is connectivity, as the watch disconnects frequently, seemingly even when the app doesn't go into sleep mode. If the watch could maintain connection without constantly needing the app, that'd be great.
The Citizen proximity watch and app rocks. Just the right mix of functionality. I can't understand why some are having problems with connection etc. The Bluetooth connection I have with my pixel 3xl running Android 10 is super strong to the extent that get complete coverage throughout my entire house. I bought the watch for the time sink as I live in Aus (atomic) but I've fallen in love with the call, txt and associated alerts! It's so good I bought 2 far. Far superior than my G-Shock gwb5600.
Edit: I've had it with having random disconnects in less than 30 minutes and being unable to reconnect. I shouldn't have to remove bluetooth info every single time this watch disconnects! It always goes to on, then off for bluetooth connection. Yes I read the manual very carefully. C'mon Citizen do something here!
Solved Bluetooth connection dropping. Citizen update from 25.01.19 solved the connection issue.Thank you!! I had found that the app did not work correctly after being in aircraft mode. Only rebooting would allow reconnect. So set quiet time on phone overnight , problem dodged. Also charge indicator shows watch well charged..rubbish . Place under an led lamp for 6 hours then the internal battery can maintain a connection. Also alarm on watch is too discrete! Samsung Galaxy Edge 6 +
The watch is stylish, has useful features even when not connected. It seems to connect fairly solidly with my Droid Turbo 2. The one unexpected feature that I liked better than Wear OS is the phone finder works even when the link is not active as long as the watch is paired with the phone first.
So far it's a quiet normal app, not really stylish, nor has it a really good useabillity. It has all needed main functions but the notification settings are a bit unsatisfying! I really wished for a support for every app wich is able to give a notification... Or the existence of an api to manually add apps
App worked fine before. Now my proximity watch won't connect to the app. The watch tries to connect, vibrates, then goes back to "off" position for bluetooth. TLDR: app is broken and cannot be connected to watch.
same as everyone! Time changed & I cant get my watch to set to the new time. It has not paired correctly from day one! I've installed, uninstalled. I've read the instructions & tried & tried. At this point please learn from my mistake, DO NOT BUY THIS WATCH!
I had a hard time getting into this watch, like I always thought first you have to read the manual, this work out for me, the watch was paired with my old phone and won't pair with the new one ,Android's all the time,Samsung Note 10 currently, so after deep reading, I finally find out that first need to erase all old connections, old phone in my case ,from the watch, manual says all of that and how,and now everything works, its works just need to get into it.
This app and the watch it is supposed to support are terrible. I am on Android and it will not connect to the watch I bought. In tiny type in the manual it says" not guaranteed to work with all phones". They do NOT tell you this when you pay $700 for this watch. The website does NOT have a list of compatible phones. The watch is a piece of junk without the app. TELL EVERYONE TO STEER CLEAR OF THIS VERY POORLY SUPPORTED, BADLY SOLD AND DUBIOUSLY MARKETED RIP OFF.
Works ok. Just hard to find the troubleshooting guide for W700 and remove previous phones. Won't work in a new phone if you don't delete previously paired phones.
the connection and bluetooth receiving signal could be better if the function and receiving signal area could be improved and enlarged. But the watch design is basically good due to second purchase for this brand.
Just got the new update and it defaults to running in the background. I am very disappointed. This app never used to run in the background. I am deleting this app until it is fixed.
How hard is it to send "if watch disconnected, then try reconnect, every n seconds" as a firmware update? when thewatch disconnects, it just sits there as disconnected.
The watch and the app lose connection more than I would like. I also cannot use Outlook for Android to get mail notifications since two updates ago.
Keeps disconnecting from phone and it doesn't reconnect automatically unless you open the app and set it up again.. I'm returning the watch is not worth it..
This app is draining my phone battery at an alarming rate. I may have to just remove it if it continues. Not sure what is happening. But this needs corrected somehow.
Very disappointed that I cannot assign my own apps list. If I could set specific apps notifications other than what is builtin into this app, I would immediately buy that nice Citizen Hybrid watch.
Useless. UI is inpenetrable. The watch functions are the same. Waste of money on the watch. Blatant incompetence in design and function. $700 wasted for the watch. Completely false claims that this device works with any Android phone. Truly pathetic effort. Condescending advice from Citizen for any remedy. AVOID!!
Works ok, but the phone finder keeps lowering the sound so it basically is vibrating, which makes the phone finder basically useless.
Useless! After 2 solid days (& nights) under natural and/or LED light my watch was apparently sill not charged enough for the required firmware update... Watch sent back... How they think a product this poor is sufficient for such an expensive watch is beyond me...
Watch will only change time zones if you have the app. Has problem staying connected at night. It has been working better since update.
provides little information, hard to maintain connection with Samsung phone, "bluetooth smartwatch" in name only, IMHO!
nice watch but connection issues in day2. Paid well for the watch so was expecting better from bluetooth. Watch looks class though
My 700$ watch sure doesn't like this app, and my smart watch really isn't smart. Very disappointed with both.
Random bluetooth disconnection issues. Also, 'Find my phone' is very quiet on my Pixel XL. phone runs Android 9
The app gets the job done, however the notification options are pretty limiting. It only lists a select few apps, some of which I don't even have or use, rather than allowing me to pick from the complete list of apps installed on the phone. It already requests permissions to read the notifications, so it should be able to read which app generates a notification, and use my settings to decide whether to vibrate the watch or not. It shouldn't depend on other developers to support the watch/app.
