Citizens Bank Mobile Banking

Its an improvement from the previous version of the app by a long shot. Zelle is still a gimmick but there's a dedicated button for it. Loading time between pages should be 2-3x faster than it is. Not sure why i have to wait several seconds for pages of numbers to load. This type of secure information is rapidly accessible on a computer and there is no reason it should be different on a phone. ---- Can't compete with Ally.

The app is fine. It is usable but just not a great experience. The citizen bank credit card requires a separate login and only some of the data is reachable from the bank app. The bill pay system does not let you see the friendly names that you give to the payees until after you click on them. All in all it feels antiquated and clearly not being continued to be developed. Not great.

It's a little slow. Plus, I can't seem to be able to set notifications to be sent to my phone when a transaction happens. 5/16/2022: Nine months later the app still needs improvement. It's slower than my other bank app and I still don't get activity notices on my phone when there is a transaction. Something other banks do. I've tried. So my assessment of the app is that it is still a little slow. And more options should be available through the app. So still at Two Stars, maybe 2 1/2 Stars?

When the app works it's perfectly acceptable, but the amount of issues with this banking app is just too much. I can't even access the app half the time, so paying bills, transferring money, and just checking my balance is an almost daily headache, for something that should be pretty straightforward, in 2022. Smart phones & apps have been the default for over a decade now, Citizens.

Just downloaded the latest version. Now mobile deposit says something about the data on the bottom of the check is unreadable. The entire check is very readable, it took a perfect picture and won't let the process complete due to the photo. I only use the app for mobile deposits, so it is useless to me!

Most recent update on Android broke biometric logins. Now you're forced to use a password reach time. Still can't alter reoccurring transfers. Still can't sort transactions in account history by debit, credit, checks, etc... All of this functionality was available in the legacy app. So the new app looks fancier, but lost a lot of capability. How is this better?

Easy to use, very handy. Mobile deposit banking feature can be a bit glitchy at times. Overall a decent app. Update 4-2-22. This app is no longer functional, I cannot log in from my phone or tablet any longer. It used to be very reliable now it's a dud. When did this update happen and why isn't it working?? Lowering my star rating until this issue is addressed and fixed.

Doesn't work since 3/22/22 update. Will not let me sign in on my Samsung tablet. I have fast internet and my tablet has the latest version of android installed. So the problem is with this app. When I attempt to sign in all I get is a whirling circle and it won't open. I've had to go to the website to access my account since this happened. I uninstalled and reinstalled and even tried doing a force stop but none of that worked. I give up! Uninstalling until glitch is fixed.😡

When it works, it's great!!! Mobile deposits, transfers, smooth & easy. But, the Bank seems to perform lots of service, so- recently I've had to wait hours to get balances....Update: the app has worked flawlessly for months in a row. It meets or exceeds my expectations in every way!

Absolutely terrible. Before, you could pay and manage your loans through the app. Someone decided that was too convenient and removed nearly all loan related functionality. You can view statements and that is it, for everything else you have to call or use your computer.

I like it alot. Especially for someone like me... I'm not the most organized person. But because every transaction gets listed I think immediately within minutes after it was done etc it makes it easy forme to do my account balancing my way which any teller would cringe if they saw. But let's just say I have a damn good idea of how much money I have. Not only that but I can use the fingerprint and I like the ease of that also. So good app. Thanks

I always have issues with the mobile deposit. Saying it can't retrieve deposit limits over and over or I'm Taking pictures of the same side of the check when i am clearly not, or just flat out not processing it. Everything else works as intended, please work on this part. Cause being able to cash checks on the move uis a bid deal for my business.

Usually the app is fine, nothing too great, nothing horrible. But then comes the random times where it flat out doesn't work, and thats the issue. No warnings, it just works one day and the next you cant see anything.

I am still long on Citizens Bank; however, this mobile banking app which was once easy to use (before the last update). EDIT: Everything has it's own learning curve, as I've found out. Time and repetition solves most problems encountered.

Very limited functionality compared with other banking apps. The only bonus is the easy login process. Maybe it is secure, maybe not. It's an appropriate that this app is a struggle to be usable when the bank itself is the same. I suggest you stay away from both.

The app is very nice, easy to use and with instant accuracy of your account information right at your fingertips. The only issue I've found is a usual very lengthy wait time to get an actual person's help, should you need assistance. However once someone responds, their customer service has always been excellent in resolution of any issue.

Absolute worst banking company ever. For the past 3 months they've been bouncing my car payments even when I have money in my account. Customer service is awful and don't understand the issue. And if I can switch banks for my car loan. I 10000% would.

* Flawless and easy, unlike PNC, four attempts, four failures! Instead of detecting the check and automatically taking a picture, I had to frame it and snap the picture while holding my phone still. I have advanced ALS with little control in my right arm and hand and less in my left. Thank you app developers!

Only Occasionally Works. This app so consistently glitches not loading or having an issue it really only works half the time for remote handling. Desktop login isn't much better but having a physical bank to deposit cash with no minimum balance is why I keep the stupid account. Only use this as a digital "coffee can" bank. APP IS BS (most of the time).

Update - the February 2022 update did NOTHING to correct the bugs. COME ON CITIZENS! How much is your company worth and you're too cheap to get a properly working app? Not a great look! Since the November 2021 update this app has become unusable, takes forever to load and constantly freezes. Takes 2-3 tries to get it loaded. I uninstalled and reinstalled, same result. Please fix the bugs, this app is crucial for customers who want a convenient way to check their accounts.

The app fails to show what you have pending and give you an accurate balance, when using the app after making transactions itll show purchases that will clear but if you check again a few days later that transaction will be out of you're account like it never happen and the app shows you have more money in your account then you do until it pulls it later when you arent expecting it, ive called customer service about this multiple time of the past two years and they haven't been reliable

I feel very secure banking with the Citizens bank mobile app. I have been banking with Citizens for some time now and I rely heavily on the mobile banking for almost all of my banking needs as I don't drive and although there are branches within easy walking distance I still enjoy the security and convenience of their mobile app.

I still prefer Citizens Bank over the other banks in my area but I do not like the recent changes to the online app. It is much more difficult to use than the previous one. 4/22 -- some improvement. It now let's me change dates to deliver checks without bouncing me out of the system.

Absolutely horrible. It makes me reset my password literally every single time I try to log in. Now the app is simply not working at all. I only use this app to make car payments and it's so unreliable I'm probably going to just refinance with a whole new bank.

It works very well, but sometimes it will glitch out and you will have to exit the app and try it later. It processes checks nicely, and you can use automatic transfers.
