City of Love: Paris

Been playing for a while.. graphics are very nice, easy controls. Would have been a nice game but would just rate 3 coz i cant see where the plot is heading with your choices or if your choices could affect the plot.. and it wont let you read that much per day. I hope there is some kind of a reward system in between time lapse. Thanks anyway. Have a lot of potential though.

Bc of the energy issue I completely lost interest in this game. It's too bad since the graphics are really nice, n the story is interesting. But the way they have this game setup it becomes very disconnected. They either force u to play it at an extremely slow pace, or are VERY pushy to buy energy. I tried to stick it out but didnt last long. I ended up forgetting about the game completely and when I remembered I didnt really care. Most people seem to have the same issues but yet rate it high....dont quite understand how that works. Would not recommend.

I give this 3 stars only because I like the overall story and art style. My biggest issue is the energy system. I play for less tham 5 minutes and I've already run out of energy. It's unnecessary and it makes the game itself less immersive and unejoyable. 20 energy points per choice is ridiculous. I've honestly played many better apps than this that aren't nearly as money dependent. The game has a lot of promise but unless this system changes, not sure how likely it is that I'll keep playing.

I really enjoy it but for some strange reason the app keeps going into the loading screen and won't load, I have a Android Tablet and maybe that is causing problems. I've downloaded it several times but it keeps doing the same thing. please fix this I would really like to continue the game. I really like the art work and the characters. It's a really great game. 😉

Really is a great game but like a lot of other reviewers, I agree. The wait for energy refills is insufferable. Play for 5 minutes and really get into the story. Then wait up to 24 hours for more energy for another 5 minutes play. And so on...and so on... That is what hurts the experience most. Without constant play it is super-easy to forget where one left off in the story. Or worse - easy to forget one has the game on one's phone, stops playing entirely, then uninstalls. Like me. :-/

This is a very pretty game, with excellent graphics and animations, and the story is cute enough so far. However, the amount of story you can get through on one set of charges is RIDICULOUSLY short, especially given that you only get charges once per day. It's very sad that a game that appears superior in many ways could have such a frustrating flaw. I'm on the fence on whether I'll continue to bother with it or not.

Okay this is a fun and interesting game, but it's 20 energy (which are your choice points to progress the story) for trivial decisions like " go to your interview" and " go home" ( both of which were the only choices you could choose at two different points in the story in order to progress). I frustrates me to know that I'm using 20 points of energy just for decisions I have no control over. I'm surprised that they wouldn't have you use energy just to go walk down the street in this game.

I love the story, but using 20 energy for one choice is very exhausting when you got a lot of choices. So I end up waiting for energy instead of enjoying the story! I used four days just to finish one episode because I just got 100 energy in one day. What is the point if you just wanted to enjoy a story but end up frustrated as you could only choose a few selections in a few scenes and bye you got to wait like a day to recharge that energy? Not worthy, I could say.

As expected ubisoft are trying to get you to spend as much money as possible for so little in return. The amount of energy used for each decision is excessive to say the least but I much prefer the storyline, the graphics and the characters to any of the other choose your own adventure games. I would reccomend this game to anyone with enough patience to see passed the energy issue.

The game itself is a cute, fun story but the stamina system is ridiculous. You can maybe finish 1/3 of an episode a day, and if you can't save stamina for another day. I get that they want to make money, but you can barely do anything without spending. The nice thing is that they'll never make the better decisions cost money or extra stamina. But I wish they would just use ads

I like the graphics, and I like the story so far, but being able to play for 5 minutes a day because of energy refills is ridiculous. There are so many other games out there, similar style, that you can choose... unless you want to spend alot on a game don't get this one. disappointed in Ubisoft.

I like the story but I run energy so quickly that the flow is lost. I know I can pay for more but when what you get each day is so stingy I'm not willing to spend my money on it, especially as energy is wasted just to go from one scene to another. It needs better a balance and until it does you won't be getting anything from me. To be honest I'm surprised the app has a rating as high a it does.

The graphics are gorgeous and the plot seems interesting, but the amount of energy you get is ridiculously small. Unless you use real money, you're limited to 100 energy per day, which may sound like much but will only give you five choices as they use up 20 each. The choices come up really often as well, and for very small things so really you're looking at under five minutes of gameplay in a day. I can't even begin to imagine how long it takes to go through the whole thing.

Story is interesting. But you run out of energy way too fast. Every decision costs 20 energy- that includes "decisions" where there's only one option available. Its really annoying and makes me not want to come back I can't even really get into the story enough to WANT to buy energy because there isn't enough information each day to actually get me hooked. Either give more energy every day or (preferably) don't have "decisions" that only give you one option cost so much energy.

How was the last update in 2018 and they still have the same bad monetization scheme? Just offer full access for $20 as an option other than waiting 24 hours for 5 choices/buying small amounts of energy. I played through season 1 and 2 a few years ago and had a lot fun, thought I'd revisit now but it's just not worth investing the amount of time or money that this game is asking for.

The game is really creative and the graphics are positively splendid! The characters have depth and I'm looking forward to see what happens next. The only issues I have with the game are that it glitches and freezes sometimes, and there's such a long wait for energy to make the next choices.

The game is amazing i recomend it but you have to wait forever to get more energy like come on seriously it takes foreverrrr as a suggestion maybe put it as our energy refills after like 2 or 3 hours at least. Everything about the game is beautiful, the story line and the art is definitely better then episode but please please read this because we need more energy and we always forget where are up to in the story because of the long wait. Not a game I'd usually play, but holy smokes the art is beautiful! Not really digging the story. All of the characters are super unlikable. All of the characters are straight up jerks... not very fun to play. Plus I feel like my decisions dont really impact anything. Though, again, I want to praise the game for how pretty the art is.

While the artwork is gorgeous and the characters are pretty good, that's about all the game has going for it. You have little control over your own character and are never given the option to dodge terrible ideas or decisions. Every option is either obviously going to make a character happy or annoyed and there is never an in-between. Not to mention the fact that your character is just really a terrible person anyway. And dont get me started on the energy system. Honestly...just skip this one.

I give it two stars for the "energy" system. It's literally there to bleed money from people. I legit just downloaded the game and I'm "out of energy" 5-10 mins later. that's not enough time to decide if you like the game yet! With such a blatant and in your face cash grab I'll be uninstalling. It's honestly a shame because I think the story has potential.

It,s a really good game and I feel like I,m actually in Paris, the animation and the music is awsome but the problem is that the energy takes a lot of time to recover and just like other players are saying I would also like to say that it would have been better if the energy would recover a little faster and woulden,t be used so quick, I hope you all will make the change since I,m not the only one complaining.

The art is the only thing that carries itself in this game. The scenes, characters, and animation are gorgeous. But everything else was boring. The characters are boring. The plot is boring. The player character is difficult to relate to. Plus, whenever I did start to feel invested, I would be out of energy and have to wait 24 hours to play again, and by then, I didnt care anymore. Very disappointing.
