service is bad, video chat hardly ever works I've tried using my phone data and wifi neither work I called customer service and they say the problems on my side but I have good service I have att. the app crashes all the time and they charge way too much. I tried getting my money back when the video doesn't work but they wont do it. I wouldn't use it but it's the only option I have.

Download the app and did all the steps to register and the button seems to be stuck or the app frozen. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app several times and still the same each time. I was so looking forward to seeing and hearing from my boyfriend, but this app has completely shattered all of that due to it not working. FIX THE APP!!! So people can communicate with their loved ones and family!!!

I installed and down loaded it. Then I set up an account. but after that it never worked! what a waste of time. okay, finally worked once. After that back to it not working. or it keeps asking for me to reset my pw but I haven't received a code to my email yet. Still trying to get this joke of an app. To work just once. But after a week it has failed everytime.

Funny how GTL only charges $.03 per min to talk to inmate and this is way more expensive just for a few phone calls, it's ridiculous. On top of all that, the video finally pops up saying it's working now but then it doesn't allow you to connect saying bad connection but takes the money off anyway. App needs major bug fixes! It's so poor quality, I can't stand it. However, as of right now, it's the only way I have to talk to my loved one! Now the updated version is not even allowing me to log in

Still sucks...still says I have a poor connection which is a lie, most of the time doesn't alert me that I have an incoming video call, cuts you off, hangs up, sometimes doesn't even connect and its expensive AF for something that only works part time. In today's technology world we should have better options.

It's a shame I cannot rate this a 0. A friend tried to install this for us and it can't even store our info correctly. Apparently the server is messed up. We setup the accounts, try to login and says there is a mismatch on the account. You can try to reset the password and no email is sent. This program is JUNK.

I have been using this app for over a month now and the service is wonderful as far as telephone calls. Have yet to use any of the other features. It's a bit much with taxes and fees though. I put $50 on it and ended up with $36 usable talk time. It's 15 minutes per call right at 5.36 per call. I don't like all the money that's taken off the top but am willing to pay it to talk to my son without issue.

Rediculous that half of the money you send your loved ones gets taken for fees and taxes. It's hard enough to come up with extra money but they take so much. You are required to put more than $10 cause a phonecall cost so much and they have to get their half or more. The texts messages are only 50cents and pictures are only 50cents and the inmate's received Right away.

The video chat freezes during the full length of the call. The taxes and prices are extremely high. Pay $15 and $7 is taken for fees like processing, convenience, and tax. They will charge your account for videos and calls you didnt make, and you are responsible for calling their call center to report their fraudulent activity to them to get your money back. The app constantly crashes.

Pretty terrible ..always freezing up..if you even get a full phone call where the video and audio works at the same time... Please fix these issues. Screen is black i cant even see my guy or have a solid conversation. Alot of times it wont even connect.

This app isnt the best it could be. You have to add at least 10.00 bucks at a time. Which is ridiculous. You would think that you could add the amount you want. The text messages are .50 cents a peice so whos to say you arent going to just text the inmate. The video visitation is also very crappy. Froze up for the majority of the time. Not worth the $ definitly.

the prices skyrocketed since I first downloaded this app. just last month to send a message was 0.05 and now it's 0.50! picture messaging was 50 cents and now is a full dollar. even if you don't accept the video call you get charged 50 cents. all of the notifications don't come through either. the amount you put on your account and the amount they credit is a ripoff as well! I'm ready for my friend to get out of this stupid jail!

Video chat never works. Its blamed on network speed. You can have full signal plenty of data and it doesn't work. Unless you are on a strong wifi signal don't even try.

Horrible app, horrible customer service!! My husband and I were trying to have a video visit , it did connect, and for about 2 seconds I seen him and he i,, then it froze stuck, so 3-4 video chats were absolutely waisted, I never understood anything he said and a half of a word every now and then from him, and city telecoion refuses to give that money back or even to give me a call to discuss this..or email, so sorry, too bad . I don't know whoever owns citytelecoin. But there making $$$$$

Please explain to me how to register as a user. I put all my info in and then it gets like stuck or pauses and the button down at the bottom goes no where. I even double checked to make sure all blanks were filled in and i agreed to the user stuff. HELP!!!!

I had never used this prior to December. I added 10.00 to my account (not knowing that was a worthless amount) and received less than 5.00 to actually communicate with. Then these shadies think people want a paper statement. First of all this company needs to go green. No one wants a paper statement. Second, they charge WITHOUT the option to opt out of said statements. I've never seen a shadier company in my life. They are definitely trying to capitalize on communication with loved ones. BAD.

Sometimes the system may fail or glitch but given the circumstances it's better than nothing at all... Everytime I call for help, MY experience has been that EVERYONE I have spoken to has always been so kind and helpful and professional. Thank you so much for everything. Rhianna

One star, they're preying on people with incarcerated loved ones but i guess i have to pay the 7 different sevice charges in order to be able to talk to my wife for the next eight months. I've never seen anything like it. Surely this is illegal there are charges for an admin fee, credit card fee, statement fee, sales tax, county tax, local tax and i dont know what they mean by "other tax". It is robery and a preditory company and you cant do anything about it. They need to be investigated.

It's not letting my payments go through and customer service wasn't much help. The lady was rude and seemed exasperated. This app needs major improvements. Right now it's just a cash grab preying on those who wish to talk to their loved ones.

this is great but... I'll update my rating when it doesn't drop my calls 100 times and still charges me or it allows me to send photos because its enabled for everyone else that's there.

even when my device and internet far exceed their requirements my video chats to the jail never go through. i have even successfully connected with the company and they claim it is my equipment and my internet. they refuse to check the jail to see if there is an issue there. they dont have a problem taking my money tho.

Ummm I pay too much money to use this app for it to update and now I can't even get passed the update screen. Never had this problem before but your going to have one pissed off woman if you don't fix it asap! I've even uninstalled and installed again not working

App needs lots of help. I INSTALLED IT AND UPDATED. WHEN IT OPENS THE SCREEN JUST STAYS WHITE. I HAVE UNINSTALLED AND REINSTALLED AND IT DOES IT EVERY TIME. FREEZES UP DURING VIDEO CALLS. MESSAGES ARE SOMETIMES SLOW GETTING DELIVERED.

Completely disappointed doesn't work I've been connected to high speed wifi and maybe got to talk to him twice and it took money off every time so we wasted more money trying to connect then getting to talk I made a complaint and let them know something was wrong with the app I also told them that other inmates were having issues they said they couldn't do anything without a complaint from the jail they didn't even attempt to make it right not offering any kind of refund I wasted 60 dollars

So thankful for this app! Easy to navigate! And makes it super easy to add money to your account! It allows us to communicate with loved ones while they are away! All features have worked perfectly for me!!

Same problem as the other guy. Had all my registration info filled out and then the register button won't work. Tried reloading and filling everything out over and over but it just would not register me. It's like it was frozen

since update I cannot add funds, it stays stuck on the enter amount part. Worked amazing before update on Valentine's Day, now I can't even use it, pressing enter doesn't work now. Had to go to website to add money, uninstalling this app.

App was working fine for a week. Now it qont let me log in keeps giving me the failure error. I call customer service and they said it's on my end. My other apps and internet is working fine but this app.

it doesnt even deserve the one star that i did give. cant even get it to let me register i have tried 4 times already. theh reall need to fix the bugs and glitches. soon. i would really like to talk to my husband

not impressed, really was hoping for something different,than last time.. charges for inmate trying to call me and video chat. i put $20 on to be able to chat w inmates, but inmate kept calling with no connection and used all my funds up in less than 34 seconds!! insantiy
