Excellent and compelling. These are some of the best historical wargame simulations out there. I purchased this game years ago, and continue to play it. Highly recommend all of the John Tiller games!
challenging, fun, and replayable.
Great game, looking forward to playing the rest of the series.
Just stopped working after one day. Don't what happened but it corrected itself, and I can say it's one of the best wargames I've played. Changed my initial review to a more accurate reflection of my opinion.
Very detailed. Historically accurate and strategically sound.
Recommended. One of the best wargames for mobile platforms.
I'm from Minnesota too, but I'd say it's a slight exaggeration to say one 300 man regiment saved Gettysburg from the entire Army of No. Virginia. Anyway, this game is unparalleled as far as civil war strategy games for your phone. If thats what you're looking for, look no farther. I learned a lot about battles i hadn't heard about before, and a lot about battles i had heard of too. Gettysburg and Overland campaigns would be great. More please.
I play this using Napoleon's tactics. This has opened my eyes to the historical 1800s. I love playing this, and request a Gettysburg one (my state saved Gettyysburg, 1st Minnesota.)
If your a fan of the Tiller line of games for the PC then this is a must have for your android device.
So completely spot on and engrossing. This is absolutely the real deal: the quality, verisimilitude and the care that goes into entry in this series (every genre) is evident in every aspect of the game and is belied by the cheap at twice the price cost. Endless replayability and you will come away with a wonderfully deepened understanding of the period, principles and principals involved. Buy them all. I've only played on my mobile and have never felt that this diminished the experience.
I just started playing john tiller games and they are all excellent games especially compared to mobile games, try the free titles as they will teach you the game and youmay have to do a bit of reading and reasearch as with any good historical strategy game
