Classic FM Radio App

Great music. Never the same piece/song multiple times a day (hearing something more than 3 times a day is annoying, sadly all fm stations do it). Classical music seems to really help my mood in the few days where I have been listening to it in the background, more resistant to being flustered and more resistant to having a lot of things that are beyond my control rushing through my head, might be some other good things to go along with those. If there weren't non-music parts it would be 5 stars

App keeps continuously crashing and stops playing!! Even when on full WiFi!! I have uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times, still crashes!! Did and update on Google Play last week hoping this would fix it, but alas no, it hasn't fixed it!! I love ClassicFM but very frustrated 😠 😡

I tried to tune in this evening but it seems I have to reinstall the app although it was already installed. When I gave my email address I was told it was already registered. Yes it was - by me! Still can't get tuned in.

I have enjoyedvusing this app for years but recently have been unable to load any of my choices and my subscribed programs fail to download. Its very sad. I like others have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but that took too long.

"...soon you'll have to create an account...." = " ...soon I'll have to uninstall the app!" I don't support data- mining practices such as logins or accounts that escalate from reasonable & simple download number evidence to support the app, to mandatory account requirements that will surrender a plethora of personal data. Great way to decimate an otherwise decent app.

I like this app especially to see what playing as I usually recognise the music but don't remember the title and composer. The app has been working really well for about a year and suddenly it turns itself on for no apparent reason. I was out for dinner tonight and out of the blue the app started playing some beautiful music, really loudly. It was a bit of a shock for me and the other diners! I have been unable to switch it off so had to uninstall the app. This is a shame as I really like it.

Was brilliant.. don't know what has happened but uninstall it and reinstalled it and I have the same issue which is INFURIATING.. I like to play playlists (no talking, news or adverts. But the screen and information on the play list no longer updates .. So I have "playing now" e.g. gymnopedie and its actually something completely different... I've come out of that playlist and gone into another (films) and it will say Interstellar but its Jaws! 😡 I want to know WHAT I am listening to!

Absolutely SUX!!! Constant loss of signal, repeats, skips and prolonged silence - both in the music and hosts' commentary/news updates!

Used to be brilliant but now deletes episodes upon one touch, refuses to play downloads from the same day and hangs with 9 seconds remaining where only a restart fixes. Updated app, restarted phone, all to no avail. Frustrating to miss whole episodes which don't come back.

Outstanding station! The best, but the new application...not so much. It rarely opens on the first go, and sometimes not on the second go. I don't like the 10-second advert that always precedes the opening of the music portion. I get waaay too many adverts. And then, on frequent occasions, during the programme, the app pauses or stops, and I have to wait til it loads again and touch PLAY. And sometimes that doesn't resume on the first go. My experience with almost anything any more: don't fix or improve what isn't broken or needs improving.

Would be 5 rates if it weren't for the irritating drop downs telling you what's playing which partly cover what you are doing. There's no way I can find to get rid of them - they're more intrusive than adverts! To add, I've now tried the workout playlists, and I'm not impressed. Full of long adverts which just wreck any chance of setting a rhythm for exercises . I thought that was the point of a playlist! Another star lost .

I use this app almost daily. It was a good app, but unfortunately it has become incredibly buggy and stops every few minutes and sometimes gives a non-specific error message. Recently it also makes a sound as though my phone's audio is being deactivated when there is silence in the broadcast, and then activates again. Also has always needed to be able to orientate to landscape mode since I also use it on my tablet and it happens to be the only app that can't handle landscape.

Old app was great. You'd open it, then if you had an internet connection, it would start playing. Simple as. But now, the app opens and you have to click on several things before it starts playing, not forgetting a ten seconds ad. F.U, Global, I already get enough ads when I'm listening to your station. So bye for now. Tune In and Google Assistant it is for me.

Rubbish, uninstalled. Use the online streaming service. Problem 1: When listening to the radio the 'media' volume changes to zero whenever an audible notification chimes. Problem 2: the app freezes and crashes when in the background for a while. Problem 3: sometimes it repeatedly refuses to connect to the streaming server and reports an error with each attempt. It doesn't matter how good the content is if it is inaccessible. My next phone will probably have an FM tuner...

I want to love it, but everytime i open the app, nothing plays. i keep pressing the play button and nothing changes. this is so frustrating when it happens in the morning. imagine waking up and feeling excited about what is to come and putting on some classic fm to put you in the right mood. but then it doesnt work!

I want to love the app but it stops every few minutes, it's just infuriating. Wondered if it was just my phone but others seem to be having the same problem. Such a shame. Please fix it soon! The adverts before the audio plays are a pain too. There are enough adverts broadcast on the station itself, don't fill the app up with them too.

The app.is extremely unstable. If I leave it playing in the background whilst i use another app, the music stops and I get an error notification that reads "An error has occurred, please wait and then try again" Even if I leave the radio playing with the app open and lock my phone, eventually the music will stop and the same error message appears.

Buggy! I love listening to classic fm in the evenings but when I close the app, even shutting it down completely, it will pop back up and randomly play again. This happens about 20 times before the app will close properly. Its really freaky when your going to bed an classic fm will randomly play, that or I have ghost that really love classical music!? Other than that a good app. Thanks for you classic fm music for pets night, please come back again over New years!!

This is THE GREATEST station, as they say, and they are right. I have listened to a ton of stations and this one has the BEST variety, the least amount of commercials, the BEST DJ's,... I even enjoy the traffic reports. 😏 I have been listeninf for years and it is finally even on the internet (it is a UK station). If you really love a variety of Classical, Romantic, Baroque music...look no further.

Used to love this app, but now it's just too cluttered and doesn't work properly. Downloaded a concert at the end of last year, listened to it no problem. The thing is the app now downloads a random file every day and informs me it's the same concert even though it is obviously not. The only way to stop it was to uninstall.

I genuinely wanted to like this app as I also follow your Facebook Page, but it's simply too unstable. Constant crashes, signal loss, and if a call comes in, the app has to be restarted. Plus, it consumes far too much data. Hopefully your developers will sort these issues out, and if so, I'll reinstall.

Agree with other reviews, but not the same symptoms. App has worked fine in the past, probably when it wasn't written by Global player. Works on my Desktop via Firefox browser, but will not work on any of my Samsung phones. Have used same router and networks, so only common denominator is app. It keeps dropping out and saying there is no internet connection, which is rubbish. Don't have the same problem with other radio apps. VERY poor.

It dont work very well at all sometimes it fails to open or display the correct piece of music that is playing .
