Classic Notes - Notepad

Terrible. After a few months, the ads cover over half the screen. So when you try and edit and you keyboard pops up you can't see anything. Ads no longer go away. It started out with occasional ads only and they only covered maybe 1/10th screen but after a few months the app is useless for editing. Good only for viewing what you have already got entered - and then you get only a small portion of screen to do that. Don't waste your time with this app

App worked great for several years. Loved it! Now I get these huge ads popping up when I try to do anything - read my existing notes, add to notes or create new notes. I cannot get the ad to leave the page, and can't do ANY typing on that page. I try a different note, same horrible ad. I need to figure out how to copy all of my notes and move them to a better app. This one has lost all usability. Horrible.

I used to LOVE this APP! I used it to save many private memos, lists, and reminders for myself. I used it as a reference source, for when I had to change specific information, and needed a little reminder of what it was changed to. BUT NOW, they've SOLD OUT, and let advertising on the notepages. And these ads are of course, huge and obnoxious! They disable the use of the notepage on my phone, can't be dismissed, nor minimized, and RUIN the convenience and simplicity of this APP.

This was a great app until there is an ad that I can't delete. While I understand the need for ads and am not opposed, this ad is so large that if I try to make changes to my notes, the ad and my keyboard take up the whole screen. I can't see what I'm typing. I now need to delete this app because it doesn't work for me any longer. That's just silly. I even clicked on the ad thinking it might go away so I could edit my notes. Nope just a bit frustrating.

I used to like this app but the huge ad at the top takes up the screen when you are trying to input a note. Even worse, you have to be careful maneuvering in the app. It opens with your slightest touch. If you need the advertising, make it smaller and on the bottom of the page. If an update is not forthcoming, I will go elsewhere.

It's all good apart from recently everytime I open the app I have to wait to use it as it opens a separate window for some YouTube ad. It's so annoying. I understand a free app has to have ads but this is such an annoyance as it stops me from quickly writing a note, takes me to another page and I have to close it and return to write. Think I'm going to transfer my notes to another app.

Was great for simple notes - don't mind the ads - hey it's free! But a while ago I noticed there's no way to back up the data, so manually copied all my notes (I use it for everything) to another unrelated ap. Good thing, because mine too has started STOPPING a few seconds after launch. Looks like I'm not alone and hope it gets fixed - something has obviously happened recently.

This app was working wonderfully and I quickly created many notes. However, the app no longer works - it crashes seconds in everytime I open it. I have lost access to a lot of important information and am so frustrated by this. Please fix so I can access my notes again! *Edit* The update worked like a charm!! I can access everything again, no more crashes. Thanks for fixing!!

Was looking for a basic utility to write text notes. In the middle of writing, it decided to open my browser and load some dumb "lucky winner" ad page. I can't tell if it did this automatically, or if it tried spawning an ad that I accidentally clicked while typing before it actually appeared on screen. Apparently this app used to be better. As of now, this is unusable. If you need ads, please don't make them pop up as the user is typing.

Currently doesn't open so theres no point in downloading and I'm not convinced this'll be solved as it's been a few days with no word. While it worked, the ads could be intrusive and there were a few QOL issues like the text being out of line with the page lines (I can't check if that's still the case) For those who want to retreive your lost notes, the best way I've found is repeatedly opening the app and quickly tapping note in question. Eventually, it will stay open long enough to screenshot

Used to be a decent app., The most recent update has put intrusive ad that interferes with normal use on the opening screen. Will be deleting once I locate a better app. UPDATE: Full screen ads removed by developer. However until ads are returned to the screen bottom instead of top, I will keep looking for a better note app. Current placement interferes with opening top note, especially on smaller screen smartphones. Simple and smooth UI is paramount.

Agree with many other users. This was a lovely, simple little app before the decision to put intrusive banner ads at the top of frame. This is now taking up far too much screen space, in a terrible choice of area and impacting the clean simplicity that i previously liked. Totally get that free apps often need ads but more thought should be put into how this is implemented. This choice smacks of favouring the advertiser's needs over the user experience. This is why I've uninstalled.

So right in the middle of making a note, ads will pop up that freeze the phone (galaxy s9) and refuse to go away no matter how many times you tell them to. You have to clear the entire app from the memory and lose whatever you're working on to get rid of the full screen ad that conveniently pops up as you're typing

ive been using it for a while, storing notes for various things. however, today when it began crashing every time i opened it, i decided to reinstall it, this worked, however i lost ALL the notes i had stored, which was a real shame for me. im not sure if this is a typical issue with all note apps, but it would be nice if the notes were saved on the cloud, to avoid these kind of consequences. however besides this, the app is good which is why i wont give a negative rating.

Can't save notes, which wasn't a problem until the ads starting completely blocking the screen. Now you have to type blind and are unable to even copy/paste your work. I've lost hours of material because the app is now completely inaccessible due to banner ads/poor interface.

the developer is responsive to complaints but even though i have updated my app, there are still banner ads blocking the top portion when i try to make or read notes on my phone screen. i have tried going to the sites advertised as a courtesy and checki g out each advertised site. but they pop up one after another. if this doesnt bother you...great. 2 stars for providing a spot to make notes the table of contents is partially obliterated too. so finding your note by date and title is a mess.

So, SO many adds. Everytime I open to make a note, I start typing, then after a few letters a huge imposing add opens up, taking me into my browser, and costing me a good 20/30 seconds. Doesn't sound terrible, but when I intent to scribe somethinng down to remember later, I expect it to take only a few seconds. Far too messy to be functional.

App is good for what it need to do and it's simple. One recommendation that would make it great is to add a feature to put a page on your home screen so you don't dont constantly have to apen the app for things you don't need to edit. I just use it for daily planers and it would be better if I could just see it on the next page of my home screen as a widget

terrible! have had this app on my phone for the last year and a half. suddenly a month ago i kept getting a message saying notes keeps stopping. i am given a message to either close app (which does nothing), or to send feedback. LOST ALL MY IMPORTANT NOTES FROM THE LAST 1.5 YEARS! finally deleted today since there has been no update for forever, and i am unable to access my notes at all. never downloading this again ....worst note app I've ever had!

Actually, let me amend this. This app is dangerous. It's phishing. It doesn't send banner ads it directs you, fully supported by the developers to phishing sites trying to steal your data. Useful but ruined by intrusive adverts, some of which, without permission load a browser with ads that won't disappear until you either subscribe to the page or shut it down. This app will be deleted later.

Usually I love this app but today when I needed important info it crashed. I deleted it thinking that would help after restarting my phone and all that but nope. Everything important was gone for the few seconds it did open and it kept telling me that the app was not working. I went to download it again and it said it was for an older version. Low and behold, this app hasn't been updated since 2015. I suggest using another notes app until/unless this one gets fixed.

I would give it 5 stars but you cannot save your notes if you change phones and that is so annoying....i have over 50 notes so you can imagine the a ount of work ro bring all of that info manually to a new phone....that has to be changed ...i wont use this app if this isnt changed. I read somewhere that it can be transfered but if thats the case it is not easy and intuitive as i cant find it

I have been enjoying this app for the past few years. never did I have a complaint till now. the advertisement currently running is unbelievable intrusive. this is supposed to be a free app that comes standard with android. if this doesn't get fixed soon I will look for alternatives.

This recent change in displaying ads so large that you can't see any of your notes is awful. I'm finding another method to save information so I can delete it forever. The developers have lost whatever they intended to accomplish with the application

App started displaying ads that take up half the screen. Combined with the space the keyboard takes up when attempting to type a note the only this visible is the ad. Ads are fine, the author needs to make money after all, but currently the app isn't even usable.

Before the update, it had banner ads at the bottom of the screen, which was no problem at all. Now, after the update, the adds are on the top of the screen, close to the save/delete buttoms. It is annoying, distracting, and confusing.

Alright it was fairly ok but now an ad keeps blocking the whole screen making it impossible to use. It just keeps poping up and has no x or anything to get rid of it. It's getting on my nerves and I have so many things written on there. If this doesn't fix soon I'm gonna find another notes app!
