Classic Words Plus

It is a great game! so far I have been playing solo and I am addicted to it. Thank you great software. The ONE thing I would highly recommand because I wish I had this option, is the ability, when going to "board" after a game, to go back to the home menu. The thing is, if I want to select the last word played, to see its definition, I cannot, because I am automatically redirected to the board "victory" or "defeat", and that's fine, if I had a button to go back to the home page.

I was looking for an alternative to Scrabble. Something without the ads, without the constant interruptions that the recent Scrabble game has. This one is it! You can play it offline, it keeps the flow of the game without interruptions. It's the game I was hoping the original game would be, but could never get close.

Challenging way to pass the time and test yourself. Aug 2021. Still the go to game. Waiting rooms, on the bus,when I should be doing something more meaningful! 2 player game also good for passing the time. Last reviewed in 2018 and still a winner. Could do with a harder level as it's not challenging enough any more.

I was looking for a lightweight Scrabble-type game app for my older backup phone and Classic Words Plus was perfect. I like the solo gameplay and it has all the features I need without taking up a lot of internal space. The aesthetics are basic but controls work well. The premium app price is on the high end. Having dark mode not be included in the cost for the premium app seems odd. However, I can't make game apps so I guess I can put out a few dollars for the person(s) who does make them!

Have played thousands of games over the last 3+ years. Has several nice features and advantages over other Scrabble/Word apps. That said, I have become increasingly convinced there are bugs around letter distribution, especially when "Help my luck" is disabled. I frequently receive two U's in a row, which is unlikely, and virtually impossible when it happens 7 out of 10 games. Also, there are cases when the same letters you swap are returned back to you, which should never happen.

I thoroughly enjoy this game. It's fun. challenging, and always educational. I particularly like being able to highlight words for definition of their meaning. Also, it's good to see how much one word or another one would have the better scoring opportunity before I play. Too, I like the choice of playing different levels of skill... easy, hard, etc. Sometimes, I feel sharper than at other times, so it's good to have a choice.

Only played two games though so far it's great. Totally intuitive. Minimal instruction required prior to play. No ads. Just jump in and start making words. The Droid is incredibly stupid, I imagine it will get smarter and I will find it more difficult to win games. Overall great. Will return to deliver 5th star after a longer test drive.

A bit glitchy but otherwise good. Rather annoyed that is doesn't always save your achievements and scores. I had my best ever game, (including 188 point in one move) but it hasn't shown up on my history records. I finished the game and took screenshots so it definitely happened. Disappointed. Very good apart from that though.

Ive played this game for almost 3 mnths b4 i gave it a review and ive also purchased the upgrade which is well worth it considering the multiple charges that other games try to charge. No problens playing with or without the upgrade ,no interfering ads, and it (the game) lets you play so it passes time and doesnt annoy with constant badgering to pay for this or that so i gave it all 5 stars.

Good overall, but! Computers/phones etc will always have a problem with random number generation and hence issuing truly random letter's to the racks after each turn. This can be influenced by the 'help my luck' tick in the preferences. Unfortunately this means that it is much easier to make bingos than in normal Scrabble. If the tick is off then sometimes the racks can become full of vowels making the game much harder. Mimicking the selection of letters from a bag is impossible for a phone.

This game is great, however since I cannot sign in to Google Play it's hardly worth playing. Edit - 5/3 the developer has issued an update for the game. There was some issue between Google Play and Classic Words Plus. Suffice to say it's all good again. Many thanks to Sebastien, the developer, for his prompt response! 9/1/21 - I have just had an issue installing this on a new device and once again the developer has helped me out. Thank you Sebastien! Unfortunately the game locks up at the end.

Love the game; but, in the past several months, it often fails to sync, causing the app to completely freeze up. It is the only app I have acting in this way.

Enjoying it so far. Have been on normal mode which has been a bit easy, so am looking forward to trying hard mode. It's relaxing and the app has been great - no glitches, no ads which is really refreshing for an app!

Keeps making me draw first and there are no levels to choose from. It gets boring because I have to always go 1st. Please fix this I wrote emails and did not get any answer. It would be better also if you could change the color of the tile.

I have won 170 out of 300 games set at extremely hard. This should not be possible if this setting used the full dictionary available so the only difference is the random allocation of letters. I should only have won 150 games if we were equal in the words we could make. It means that the app doesn't make the best possible words. I have noticed when the app has a Q left for example, it misses qi. I want to play against the best possible app. Please add a full dictionary setting.

Solid crossword app, and it's awesome there is this "Pro" version which enables you to remove ads as well as get a few bonus features. I just hope this version continues to be updated to be in sync with the free version (since those of us with this one did pay for it).

Beat Droid 10/1 in Normal games. Droid has trounced me 20/8 in Hard. These 8 wins have given me a great deal of satisfaction. Not having instant access to, or using any, aids to the game, I feel that he's sharpening my wits. Great SCRABBLE!!! April 2022: I have been trying to email the developer or complain to someone, without success, re a tremendous error in the stats. I have been listed as having 592 Bingo's, which is very far from the truth!! What other errors are there??

I was looking for a replacement single player word game after getting frustrated by a popular one changing format that was simply too busy for my needs. Classic Words Plus is a great way to relax in the evening. I've had no issues--only enjoyment!

Used free version for over a year. Like it that much have just paid so I could use the 'pass and play' facility and 'teacher' mode, which are not available in the free version, and no ads - well worth the small fee to obtain all 3 things.

Only played one game on Hard but love the simplicity. You can just play against the computer, take your time, leave and come back later, customize things, and more. A better android Scrabble experience for me. Thank you.

Like the teacher mode to learn what I miss. I like the ability to try to form new words, which allows you to try different sequences and let's you know if a wird is valid, in order to play it.

This game is highly broken. This game accepts words that are not even real words. For example, it accepted 'Cuz', and 'Milds'. It also accepts short forms, such as 'Vid' which is short for video. After frustrating playing a few games where it would give points for not real words, I tried to request a refund but Google told me to contact the developer.

I spend far too much time playing this game! It is quite addictive but it keeps my mind active. When playing out the last few letters, I find the droid often passes when there are 2 letter options still available

It would be nice to see certain things like in Words with Friends 2 such as what you could have played. Tips said something about 'Teacher' which would help increase your vocabulary but I haven't seen how to use it let alone where it is. Wish I could change the tile colors also. With all that said...game play is actually really smooth. Droids answers pop up extraordinarily quick and caught me off guard lol I definitely know several people who are going to thoroughly enjoy this game!!!
