Classical KDFC

Unable to keep continuity as the phone keeps timing out. The playlist identity of composer and piece of music are hung up on the first selection. Nor has the anouncer identified either. The concept and quality of the broadcast are both superior to the reception of the broadcast in the Monterey Bay Area. Based on potential I would give it 5 stars. Jim Aspden, Aptos

This app takes over your phone and automatically restarts itself whenever you reboot your phone, with no obvious way to disable this. As a result I will have to remove this horrible app from my phone. Too bad, they could have given me a choice not to auto start it every time!

I love the music and have been a fan of the station for years. But the app is problematic. The home page just doesn't keep up with what's playing. Right now it's still showing the piece that was playing when I opened the app an hour ago. And the playlist doesn't really keep up to date either. If I stop the playback and restart, it doesn't help. Only canceling out of the app entirely and restarting it.

I have taken a real liking to classical music just within the last year. I first heard KDFC on my way from San Francisco, the music sort of GRABBED me. When I heard there was a music app I installed it right away. After installing the app, I would continuously have to reset it sometimes after less than a minute but sometimes it would play for over 20 minutes before shutting off. After a year, I kind of just stopped listening to the app because it was shutting off more often. I installed the app on my new phone and noticed it was an updated app...AND NOW...no more shutting off! I can enjoy the music with zero interruptions. Thank you for updating and improving the app.

excellent app, everything I need and nothing I don't. Easy to navigate and good sound quality.

This was a super app, but like all good things... marketing departments need to ruin it. Overnight (literally) the work function disappeared! Loved using the "share" option to investigate new works or composers for later perusal after my first few coffee. I'll need to find a replacement and will uninstall. Unfortunately, the actual radio broadcast is too weak in Marin, so I'll have to stop my contributions as well.

Works well and is great for traveling outside the Bay Area while remaining tuned-in. The well-crafted photography featuring the greater San Francisco City area is synchronized, in presentation, with the time of day, and the still-images combined with an aesthetically pleasant panning effect. It's background presence seems well-engineered for hours of uninterrupted listening throughout normal device use.

Constantly crashes on Android.

KDFC is my go-to music station. I love the programming and hosts. It's also wonderful to have it with me at work, when I exercise, or do anything at all. No blaring, repetitive, obnoxious ads!! For me, that alone is worth every penny of my sustaining membership.

Great app, one very similar to KUSC and other stations like All Classical Portland and WCPE. The problem with KDFC, though, is the "commercials" where they advertise the station far too often, that and the quality of the stream is not as good as KUSC or All Classical Portland. My poor rating here is for the station itself, not the app. The programming and sound quality are, well, meh. Just a personal preference. KDFC is a decent station for classical but they are not top tier in my opinion.

I had enjoyed this app until recently, when it started playing spontaneously while I was listening to podcasts. I hit the play button on the podcast app to restart it, but the KDFC app would hijack the stream immediately. Works well with Big Blue speaker. Maybe my wifi is slow because the music always stops shortly after starting and then restarts after a pause. I am using the lowest quality, but otherwise the music i wonderful

Station is great, app needs some work. I can't cast anymore; the button is still there but won't let me select it. Also starts randomly playing in the background after I've closed the app.

Quality, service, interesting, worldwide... The only thing... I would love more variation in the pieces they broadcast... ( there are a lot out there and they tend to gravitate around a fix common set). Good job

Occasional cut outs that can be expected with streaming. The pictorial scroling was interesting at first, but it gets tiresome quickly. Content of audio stream is of no concern for need of criticism.

Love the music and programming, but the application is very ill-behaved. It will start seemingly on its own at the most opportune times refusing to shut down. Doesn't seem that hard to fix. Is this intentional?

Great music. Most annoying when it decides on it's own to switch to the countdown stream. With unstable internet, it would be nice if the app had a buffer.

Plays music even when I don't have data on and no wifi connection. Then I checked my data usage to find out it is somehow force activating data. It happens when I transition out of wifi range.
