Classical KUSC

I have used this app for about 2.5 years with great success casting to my smart speakers. However, since the update I am only able to cast the 'live' stream. EVERY time I try to casting one of the other streams, it bounces back to the live stream! I have unistalled and reinstalled the app with NO change. SO FRUSTRATING!!

I am extremely frustrated with this app. Five or six years ago it worked very well. Now it's constantly buffering and the music cuts out at random times, making it almost unusable. The info about the current piece also does not update when the piece changes. I had thought maybe it was a problem with my old Android but the problem is even worse on my new one. Please fix these problems! I live far enough from LA that the radio signal is very weak, so I rely on the digital stream.

To anyone having problems streaming with the app first thing try checking your internet connection and do a fresh restart for your router secondly you can try downgrading your stream from 96 kbps to 32 kbps in settings menu beside the main screen then check if the app works or not, hope this helps

kusc classic its one of my favorite radio station ,always with the most beautiful classical music 🎶 to me ear kusc classical music is like enjoying a delicious red wine that's why I ❤ kusc classical music.

The app does not continuously play. It's constantly stopping and breaking up. This was the only after I updated it. Terribly disappointed maybe you need better tech people

I have trouble sleeping because of knee surgery pain. The thing I found best is to put my earbuds in, turn on KUSC, turn off the lights, and then drift off to sleep with the music wiping out the pain.

Wonderful announcers, knowledgeable and calm. Great selection among new and classic music.

Doesn't fit screen. Cuts off words. Also lags. I've been trying to identify the music that has been on for 5 minutes or more. Only gives previous song played.

Plays music just fine, including via Google Cast, but the now playing info display is inaccurate. Seems to stick with the first piece played and never changes.

This app worked till 2 years ago, then stopped. Zero help from KUSC. Tried it again now, plays but does not update the display---lists something from yesterday!. Evidently neither the developer nor KUSC is paying attention. Still shoddy.

I've moved from Southern California and can't find a classical station where I'm currently living (FL). Can you believe that? I was so relieved to learn that I could download an app and hear those familiar voices and divine music. I love KUSC. 💗

Flawless operation. Great 24 hour Classical music anywhere you have internet access. What's not to like?

I love being able to keep the music running when I've been driving and want to get out of my car and keep the music playing on my phone. The only thing is that the app often won't close or force close until I reboot my phone! There's something of a bug about how it works with Pandora...I can't figure it out. But the radio station is excellent... The app needs some fine tuning!

This app goes above and beyond what I'd expect for a radio app. It includes features like setting an alarm, seeing a history of the songs that have been played, saving your favorites, and learning more about the composers who wrote the music. A must-have app for any classical music fan. Listening to the radio normally is no longer enough!

This app turns itself on whenever it wants to, not when I want to hear it!! Searched more than once & can't even find a setting for that to turn off or change to times of my choosing. Shame that one of the few classical stations (& part of a university, no less) is so disrespectful of it's listeners/customers. Big FAIL. Uninstalling now -- already spent too much of my limited time trying to fix what never should have been programmed into it.

There definitely is a bug in this platform. The app works fine on my wife's phone, a different model. Mine is an older version of the same model and I can't shut the thing off. I use the long menu that comes with the program and exit at the last option in the list, but alas it won't shut off and leaves a bar on my locked screen. I have attempted twice to install and uninstall and no intention of trying it again at this time. It's too bad, as the programming is excellent.

I have always had the problem with the app looping parts of a song. KUSC programming and DJ's are wonderful and I have listened to them as I have moved across the country, but this app is unusable. Hopefully other apps will have their stream available. This is the third time I have installed it through the years and the issue remains.

Gorgeous app, wonderful music, no useless interruptions and lots of interesting knowledge about the music itself. Congratulations on the great work! The only (really minor) suggestion is perhaps the app could show pictures that are more related to the music (album covers, the composer, the musician/s or the instrument) because on several occasions I listened to some violin pieces on your radio and the photo while the violin pieces were playing was of a guitar. But the app is brilliant!

I like the station but the app has a tendency to drop out and buffer. Other streams (e.g. Yamaha, Roberts) seem to be OK. Edit: It seems that the dropping out happens a few minutes after turning my phone screen off. Turning it back on again brings the stream back. Same problem on my Chromebook. Also trying to play through web browser.

An excellent radio station with an app to match. The music programming is a lively mix of familiar favorites and more obscure works. The app is stable, provides reliable streaming with great sound quality, and is just visually flashy enough to be pleasant to use without being a resource hog. Bravo!

This app is reliable, easy-to-navigate, and provides the best source of classical music in California (KPBS in San Diego is a close second). The DJs are wonderful and the KUSC app has become my go-to source of music when I want to relax, de-sress, and not worry about news, elections, pandemics, or other difficulties. Thanks, KUSC!
