I was an avid listener to WQXR until it changed frequencies from 96.3 FM to 105.9 FM. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to obtain a clear listening experience at 105.9 so I gave up listening to this beloved station and missed it terribly. When the WQXR app came along I was overjoyed! It is THE best source for classical music, standards, and holiday music. It has been a great source of solice during this unprecedented year that is 2020. Thank you WQXR for this exceptional app.
Great app - song info, variety (holiday channel), simple interface - except for one thing: sleep time doesn't work. Falling asleep around 11:00 setting it for 40 min and it's still playing at 6am.
Sometimes, it takes too much time to start. It just keeps loading and loading. Otherwise, the content is super awesome. I love WQXR.
Easy to use and I love how the app tells you the name of the pieces played. Also you can set an alarm to the station!
It is great when it works, but recently it cuts off suddenly. I have even tried reinstalling it. I love wqxr but this is a disappointment.
I enjoy the app and it works really well. But I can't get the Holiday Standards streaming channel on Android. And sometimes I need less Bach and more Bublé, less Puccini and more Puppini, less Schubert and more Sinatra.
Extraordinary classical music channel, always surprises everyone in my family, the very best performers and orchestras around the world, latest events, classical music for every season of the year and every passing mood.
This app is much worse than the website. But they are just details. You have to be a mathematician to calculate the time. And you have to directly go to the main screen to keep the music playing.
The app repeatedly cuts out and won't respool. This has been a problem for over a year.
I cannot get the app to initialize playback on Android 8.1.0. I have tried restarting the app but to no avail.
Only complaint is that the volume is too low regardless of what device I use (phone, headphones, Bluetooth speaker)
Its awesome. Best feature is that u can close ur phone and it keeps playing.

They finally fixed some annoying bugs! You can now use other apps and have this playing on the background without the sound getting choppy. The only feature it lacked. It is now an excellent app, the content has always been great.
Awesome. Take my kusic everywhere. I especially like that i can use other aps, close the screen, put it in my pocket and it keeps going.
It used to work fine, but no longer works on my Galaxy S5. It's my only station, very disappointed.

love this station, do wish the app itself was a little more robust. no complaints about sound quality. I'd like there to be a way to make it so my phone recognizes it as an audio player app, so i could hit play/pause from my lockscreen or notification panel drop down. less important, but it would be nice if the stream was a little more in sync with the actual air time.
