Buggy! Cannot reliably stream from tablet connected to FIOS via WiFi. Big mistake to release this (See "What's New" as an indication of how buggy this release is). Combined with lack of Linux browser support (Orastream not available for Linux Distros) makes Naxos very difficult for me to use - I have to keep a Windows computer running just for this service.
What a bad move Naxos. This app is complete trash. The music cuts in and out at random and whenever I press the download icon I am not able to purchase anything. Please Naxos, find another solution. I feel that you have a huge library that's inaccessible.
First, the music is great! But the app will frustrate and disappoint you. Crashes a *lot*. No history of recent music, no history of past searches. Can't figure out what the hamburger menu does. No browsing by composer. No browsing by performer. Sheesh! What a poor user experience. Hard to see why I should switch from Spotify which has a larger Classical catalog, 320kbps playback, a 100x better app, and costs way less.
Brittle and unstable. The form factor excuse is lane. This tablet has retina class display Naxos have to be disappointed in Orastream The device is a Google Nexus 10 with the latest Android OS. The developer option has always been unchecked. Plays fine if topmost app. Will often need to be restarted to start a stream after being idle.
Never played more than 1 or 2 songs before losing audio, locking up or crashing (tried it on 2 android devices). The ios version worked better for me. Otherwise, it sounded good when it was able to provide audio. Update: Application worked much better the following day so I'm updating this review and star-rating. For a classical music fan, the selection and sound quality are awesome.
Works great on Android 5
I thought this was a premium service?
I canceled my membership because of this app. Slow and crashes every few seconds.
