Bought the 2.99 version and it was fun for a child to make the video, but exporting video was buggy as hell. Wouldn't export with full audio, exported video would start off sharp before becoming a pixelated mess. Disappointed that I bought this.
Very easy to use. Making clips in 5 mins. Considering the price I wouldn't bother with the free version, just get this.
Use to be 5 star but since its not being updated ever its basically useless and I've lost major files due to it not supporting newer Android devices. That said this was a Dimond in the rough that was abandoned. Turn away and spend your money on a more regularly maintained app.
Not supported on the latest version of Android and I'm unable to change the resolution of my project. I'll take a refund and will get something better.
I have purchased this App. But it says, this App built for older version of Android, so please update this App. BUT HERE IS NO UPDATE AVAILABLE FOR THIS APP. VERY WORST THING IT IS.

this app is really good at taking your money
This was originally a 5-star review because I'd had a good customer service experience with the creator of the app. However, the app is no longer receiving updates for features it badly needs and I am feeling its limits more and more (copying, pasting, and importing images doesn't work well). While I still hold the developer in high esteem for his helpfulness in solving my problems, I feel like the app was cut short in development before it reached its full potential.
I really like a lot of the features of this app, well-executed and the ghost image on screen really helps to line up your shots. On the downside, I find the editing interface to be somewhat clunky. Copying and pasting frames in desired spots is far more tedious than it needs to be. Improvements in that regard would make this app just about perfect.
Excellent stop motion app. I tried others but most of them lacked comparable functionality. I love that Mr Lightbox keeps updating the app and that he is actively supporting his user base. The only thing I'm not that keen on is the somewhat antiquated look of the menu system (the buttons look a little Windows 98-esq) - but that's really of no significance, the app still rocks!! The alpha brush tool is so cool too! BUY THIS APP (especially if you have kids who have lego!!).
UPDATE: Regarding my comments below about inconsistent auto exposure and white balance: This is moot of you use the sensor or a remote trigger. The problem I encountered seemed to be the result of tapping the screen to trigger photos, which had the effect of refocusing and setting a new exposure based on where you touch the screen. I'll chalk it up to a rookie mistake. And regarding my comments below about not being able to rearrange frames: You can. It is just awkwardly achieved via the Copy feature. For these reasons I have upgraded my rating from 3 stars to 4. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I liked a lot of the functionality but it lacks some important features: 1) No Undo?! If you accidentally delete a frame, it's gone. 2) No zoom?! 3) Inconsistent auto exposure and white balance when using flash, creates bad flickering on playback. I like the ability to change frame rates and delete or duplicate frames (but would be nice to be able to also rearrange frames). The overlay is useful and adjustable.
This app is very simple to use and hasn't given me any real problems whatsoever. I love making paper animations with this app and the exporting and editing features are well done and effective.
What? Really. ..i can only take live photos to be used in the stop motion? Even the most horrible stop motion aps have an import pic button so i can import pics from my phones gallery. ..not good . And i paid money for this. It appears to do nothing at all who would take the time to live action motion stuff? Much easier to get good pics then later when you are ready to animate import the pics....jeez whatever...REFUND!
You have to touch the phone to adjust focus. I used a Bluetooth game stick for the shutter. Pretty good stop-animation results. But, the frame moved slightly (several pixels) whenever I touched the display on the tripod.
I really enjoy this app. I have been using it for years for my YouTube channel. please make a version for apple! I would love to yse this app more than any other app on iphone.

It's alright I use it sometimes to make stop motion's
It is a good app, however i think it should be able to change the fps of the preview display. I am trying to animate at 24 fps and the preview display makes the animation look too slow compared to what i was expecting.
