Literally the only music player on android that I don't hate. But it has a bug where some albums, if I add them to my playlist, will halt playback and clear the playlist when it gets to the second-to-last song on the album. I wish I could try debugging the code to fix it myself because I can't find any app on here half as nice otherwise.
I have been using this app for the past several years and have never had any problems with it. It is running perfectly on my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. There is a bit of a learning curve and the interface is completely utilitarian, meaning the programmer focused entirely on function over form, which is perfect for my needs. The fewer the frills, the more stable programs tend to run. If I could rate this app as an 11 I would do it, but, alas, I am stuck with giving it a five star rating instead. :-)
Brilliant, exactly what I want - play files in a folder one after the other. Has good graphic equaliser, behaves as I want - e.g. pauses when unplugging headphones etc. My only difficulty: To set default folder to external SD card I had to uninstall the app, reinstall, go to settings, default directory, use the main back button bottom left to navigate back a level, then navigate to the external card folder (called "Storage\247C-1037\Music01" in my case). It was worth calling the music folder something other than "music" to check it was the right one. This only worked after reinstalling, and the app is superb, nothing more to add. I've used it for years, and I will miss it if it goes.
Has been my main player for years. Very lightweight non-nonsense and allows jumping forward/back a few seconds and reliably remembering position for listening to long podcasts over days. Sadly it doesn't advertise media playback to the OS so doesn't work with the second screen on my new V20 so I've switched to Foldplay. Remember position must be enabled first in Settings->User Interface->Show/Hide Buttons BTW.
one of the best music player apps, however causes issues trying to play opus files, or audio only .mkv files (using .mkv just to hold opus, as a workaround for other android issues) which is just a dealbreaker. i'm currently using sicmu player, which is under a megabyte and can play mkv. if you aren't trying to play opus, this is a great music player, especially when tight on storage
It doesn't work with all of my media that I have and I have a way to know of a phone for the player. But when it comes out with new software that will work with the newest phones I will try it again it's cool I like the way everything is on it!!! But only one song would work and one video had sound no video other than that it would not work for me yet Crazy🤔🙃
Really fast music player that still works on Android 10! The only issue I have is the notification control buttons are invisible; lock screen controls and integration continue to work fine.
I hate Google. I need a simple mp3 player. Phones these days too often force the Google clusterfck on android. This app is lean and mean. No bloaty mcbloatface, under a MB in size. Also, black/dark colour scheme, no blinding white glaring interface. I love it. Thanks!
I love being able to organize my music in a file tree. I went through a lot of apps trying to find one that had this feature before I finally found Clean Music.
I can't browse my SD card. All my music is on my SD card so this is a disappointment because the player looks like it was exactly what I wanted. I don't want to have to move my music to the phone just for this one player. All other music players do not have this problem.
Finally found what I had been searched for, for a long time! Clean, simple, and seek bar "inside" the list page of songs.
Had trouble with google play music jumbling up my library so I got this. You select the file and it plays it. Nothing more, nothing less. And for that reason it is perfect.
Great player works great with Alexa.Very basic and simple but that's all that is needed.Unfortunately not updated any more.Dont need the junk bloated MP 3 players with too many features which aren't used.
my favourite player. easy to use, reliable with no additional meaningless rubbish. just a shame its not maintained. i would pay for a maintained version.
Basic music player. Straightforward. Clean interface. No overwhelming many buttons. Use it straightaway.
Nice simple design, featureless (which I like), but can't select the external sd card where I have my music.
Very good. Probably the lightest music player for android. Highly recommended for low end or old devices.
Great player. Under 1mb! Minor bug for notification buttons due to android 11. Great features. Full dark theme would be nice.
The Music Player one ever needs. Simple, reliable, taking less than 1MB of the memory. Just great!
No privacy issues, no ads, folder play, less than 1mb fully functional music player... What Else can you ask for. 👌
Without question the best music player by a long way. No frills that are useless to the vast majority of people Extraordinary easy to use THIS IS WHAT THE WHOLE WEB WORLD SHOULD BE SIMPLE PLEASANT HONEST AND JUST WHAT IT SAYS
Used to work perfectly on Android 5 but can't even access sd card folders on android 10, pity cause this app was great, simple and efficient.
Simple, small, intuitive, does what it says, doesn't need access to all your personal data. Why aren't more apps like this?
Can't access files in external SD card. There is no option to access that just internal SD card only.
please please update app! i really really want to use the app and love ui but it doesnt read an external sd card filled with music. please update app to allow it to search an external sd card for the music library
It would simply have been the BEST player out there! , only if it supported SDcards , but it doesnt :(
Clean music player. Doesn't do anything it doesn't need to do. No ads. No updates. The swipe down (shade?) notification is missing the previous/play/pause/next icons and it can't play from an SD card, but these do not keep me from coming back to Clean Music as my go to player. A huge plus is that it is SO simple to play just one song on repeat until you're sick of it.
