Much better than unenroll me. Not only will this cancel any and all subscriptions you have, it will also delete in bulk all junk mail crowding your inbox, so you can actually see important mail you've been missing. Only issues so far are it doesn't seem to catch all subscriptions, just missed 2, and one mailbox has been scanning for 3 days now. It is an older email tho, filed with junk. So I guess it's normal.
This is a very handy app, and I've tried a few others out there and I think Cleanfox does the best at keeping junk out of your inbox. However, I have one major complaint: when viewing the newsletters received as a list, it appears that you cannot do a "Select all". Chances are, it'd be alot easier to uncheck what you want to keep, rather than checking everything to move to junk!
This was good as far as it went. I have thousands of emails that need sorting and, in a lot of cases, deleting so this app seemed perfect. However, after taking hours to scan (and failing the first time) and deleting everything offered, it managed to clear a whole 98 emails!! It didn't give the option for undoing if accidentally swiping to delete emails while keeping the subscription and is limited with which mailboxes it can deal with. Ultimately, for me, a major disappointment.
Secure, thurough, and had no idea I had so much trash in email. I thought I just wanted to delete all my emails quickly, and almost didn't sign up for Cleanfox, but it only took a minute and realized how much better this app is than just deleting all my emails. This is the second recommendation I have given since the smartphone revolution.
My email capacity (Gmail) was to full and the only option I had was to pay a monthly subscription to upgrade my GB. Although i have seen so many negative reviews, I downloaded this app anyway to give it a try. After scanning for about 1 week, it finally finished the scan and picked 24.488 emails, that's right, read that again, from newsletters and useless contacts I had. It gives you options to auto delete all future incoming email from a particular sender or just bulk delete it.
It kinda worked awesome for the first time but even though subsequent emails that are clearly spam newsletters have come through, Cleanfox can't manage to detect a single one. It just processes and processes and nothing ever happens. It's a one off app. Use it then uninstall for something that actually works on an ongoing basis
I do not write app reviews but this one is so amazing that I had to appreciate the effort gone into making this app. I never thought deleting your old mails can be so convenient, easy and fun..Left, right and upward swipe are too handy and makes the process seamless..I removed around 13k mails in 10 mins which would have been next to impossible through manual process. Thank you for this app.
Doesn't work? I hooked up my email, went through the process of sorting which emails I wanted to keep or not, subscribe to or not etc... and it said it was working but it's been well over 2 weeks at this point and nothings changed. My email still looks the exact same, nothings been cleaned up, still receiving emails I don't want. Unfortunate because it would have been so cool if it did work.
Great idea but only seems to clean my spam box after the initial scan and clean. The initial scan also missed a few newsletters and it's not automatically deleting as advertised. Upgrade has been much more effective!
Usefull app, much easier than deleting all you're junk mail yourself. Can make using you're mail systems much quicker. However I did sometimes have some technical difficulties the app doesn't seem to work on all different emailing sites.
Very good app. Would have been perfect if we could review some of the emails first before deleting them. A big plus also would be adding labels (so we can keep, delete, delete & block or label a group of emails)
I really wanted to like the app but I couldn't get past the 2auth setup. Pressing the back button does nothing and any option to move foward is either grayed out or also does nothing. Navigating through the app becomes a task. Especially, when ur prompted to sign in again and again, even though I am literally still in the same acct, same app and never manually signed out. Ooooh! It just hit me! That gut churning stench of Phish!
Garbage! A big waste of time! Took a long time to for me to connect my Gmail account to this but once I did and started deleting all that was supposed to be deleted, I went back to check my main Gmail account email box and all of them are still there. It's a waste of time and it did not work! Very annoying
Super Easy and Fast to clean out emails! Must have for everyone who has a lot of email to sort through. Keep in mind this is meant to clean out emails not to see emails.
I just got this and it seems to work fine but it keeps asking me to rate the app even though I already did and it wot let me continue cleaning my inbox until i rate it again. Also, I would like the option to read emails before I delete them as I can't find them in my regular in box
It definitely helped me delete a lot of unnecessary emails, but it didn't seem to catch all my subscriptions and a few of the email addresses still came through, so it didn't unsubscribe from those addresses.
I thought this app would actually delete all the emails from my inbox like I wanted. But after I cleaned out my inbox in this app, I went to my Gmail app, and everything was still there! This app did not clear out my inbox.
Spent forever going through my emails and swiping away the ones I wanted to delete and unsubscribe from. Opened my inbox and there are literally unopened emails from the last week from AT LEAST 4 of the senders I "removed". It barely deleted anything, and took as long as it would have to just delete the ones it did manually, so I basically just allowed them to sell my information for nothing 👍
Clear out all the junk, serial marketing and those pesky senders from your mail boxes in just afew clicks. I have cleared 1000s of emails. Normally this is a daunting task but with clean fox 🦊 it's a breeze. Best app.
Love everything about it with one exception: it took me about six tries to register and get a password set up; the registration process kept looping on the Google authentication step. It was quite annoying.
An overall, amazing and really useful app. I used to receive spam from coding apps I used, but cleanfox blocks them for me so I can get to the important emails about graphics cards and world hierarchy
Been targeted by so many ads to download I just had to give in and download it. Set it up and tried to scan my mail box but it just sat in a loop popping up emails urls that i registered to but after letting it scan for hours it still needed time. This is the second time i came back and this time was definite for me that this product is not worth it.
Works really well, deleted 4000 emails and only took about 20 minutes to scan. Shame it only does newsletters and doesn't find all the emails from one company to delete them all at once though, that's what I need.
It has separated everything in groups and I just need to slide left, up of right. Well, I've accumulated 15y of junkie mails, so I've got some work to do, but I'd never be able to do one by one if it wasn't by this app. Thank you so much to the development team!
I've only just downloaded this app, but already its usefulness appears to be TREMENDOUS!!! Both in terms of its straightforward graphics as well as the easy and intuitive way that you app functions, it has been extremely helpful in getting rid of an enormous number of neglected and unwanted newsletter subscriptions and services. My inbox finally has a fighting chance to get uncluttered and stay that way!
Just used it for the first time and it's deleted roughly 60,000 emails. Although I'm a little bit confused because it said it was deleting 80,000 emails. Either way, my inbox is A LOT cleaner. Still have 40,000 emails but much better than the 100,000+ emails I had.
Great idea. I installed the app, which is attractive, & went through Google 2-step verification. The app then says "Two-step verification is enabled. You can now create your app password." I clicked on the blue "next" button at the bottom & waited... clicked again & was taken to a page with Judgy McFox Judgyface staring at me & wondering if I was "Lost? Click here" taking me back to the "create app password" click (only ONCE this time) & ended up in an endless loop between the 2 pages. Pity. 😔
