This app is not intuitive. After setting up an order there was no confirmation message so I assumed it didn't go through. After a couple of times trying I went to the home screen and realized the app has scheduled 3 pick ups at the same time in the same address. I deleted 2 of them but I understand that there is a limited number of cancellation so it's annoying I had to put some because of the bad interface design. I also wanted to edit comments in the order because I discovered a stain I wanted them to treat but it's impossible to add pics or comments to an order already posted.
So far, so good. I've used Cleanly several times now with no issues so far. The SMS service is very helpful, they use that to narrow down your pickup/delivery window or let you know if your concierge is running late. Once I received a sock from someone else's laundry but as far as I know, nothing's gone missing. Better than lugging my own dirty clothes around and up three flights of stairs.
Cleanly is by far the best laundry app I have used! Flycleaners is the app of the past for me. Every order so far with Cleanly has gone perfectly. Any questions I have, I am confident I can get help from their responsive support staff, and they have many deals customers can take advantage of (Prepaid Credits, Cleanly Reserve) that makes their prices much more competitive than the rest. First, let me clarify. Your concierges are 5 star and they should get every credit in the world. It's a shame that you won't let us tip what we want because I would give so much more. Second, I want to note that while I've previously loved this service, I've had a major problem. This is that you don't communicate delays or changes in hours until orders have been picked up. I placed an order for Friday pickup/Saturday delivery because your app gave me this as an option. It wasn't until you had my clothes in your possession that you deigned to tell me that you don't do weekend hours. Why was this an option on the app if it's not possible? This is incredibly misleading. Previously, you also failed to communicate delays in returns. Most companies communicate this stuff on their websites prior to people placing an order. I don't understand why a modern company would fail to do this. People don't place orders for 24 hours if they don't expect things back in the same 24 hours. If there are delays or changes, these need to be made clear up front and you shouldn't still be giving people the option.
Terrible experience with Cleanly overall! Don't make the mistake of hiring their service. They have the worst customer service and have lost clothing of mine, and they did not care and was impossible to reach out to them. They have a very bad management and they keep mixing up orders with other customer's. Terrible, terrible, terrible experience and service.
I've used ByNext (formerly Cleanly) off and on for ~3 years now and the service has been great. I've never had any major issues and the concierges have been extremely warm and friendly. I highly recommend the service.
Terrible service. They mixed up the washing instructions on my order with my bf's (separate orders, same household), washing and drying brand new delicates on the highest heat settings, causing them all to shrink. When we contacted them about it, they didn't even read the email right, and gave a half-assed "sorry your blankets shrunk" ??? They didn't even offer a refund for the damaged items. This was my first and last time using this app.
Set your washing preferences and Cleanly will ignore them. My wash and fold order came back reeking of chemicals. They blamed me for the issue. I sent screenshots of my settings where I requested unscented everything and no softener or bleach. They never acknowledged that the problem was on their end. Relaundering could not remove the residue from my clothes. Everything in my order had to be thrown away. I will not use this app again.
i really liked cleanly but am now uninstalling it as the pickup/dropoff slots have been changed so that they don't fit with the schedule of our part time doorman any more (who is only available in the afternoon and evening until 8pm). had a good run - thanks for the service until now and wishing you all the best
I've used quite a few laundry services. Cleanly is the most prompt and fast! I can always depend on them to show up in their drop-off/pickup window.
DO NOT use this service. They lost $255 worth of shirts and offered $57 to replace them (as per their policy). It is not worth the risk of Cleanly losing your clothes and only reimbursing a fraction of their value. Edit: Cleanly originally offered my $57 to replace $255 worth of shirts. The shirts were brand new and I even provided receipts. Here is their original response: "I spoke to my manager and at this time we would not be able to reimbursement past $57 which is per policy, regardless of the value of the items or if it's brand new". After about a month of back and forth via email and phone they paid me $100, as outlined in their response below.
Love the ease of use worth the app and with the entire process. They picked up my clothes in a garbage bag I had placed them in for first pick up. When they were returned to me, they were in a really sturdy laundry bag for me to use for my future orders.
Absolutely awful service. Cleanly somehow lost 3 pairs of jeans and gave me another person's socks in one order. Customer service has been abysmal and slow, and their phone line has been down for 4 days for "routine maintenance". The chatbot on their app is riddled with bugs. Overpriced trash.
Too many extra charges. A tin bed there, smaller than a sheet and a thin duvet cover the same size as the sheets were charged at over $11 EACH. I'm finding another option.
Literally broken. Cannot create an order. I get the order set up hit the check mark and nothing happens. And your "help" Kate gives no option to actually get help.
Dont let them wash any valuable items. They will manage to lose the most expensive items. In-app chat is useless - as soon as you say you have missing items they go silent.
Amazing service! Always on time, love the real time pick up and drop off notifications for laundry. Clothes are beautifully folded and smell fresh!

Still cant sign-in with Google credentials in the app. Trying to sign-in via Facebook or email address fails as well.
Not available in my area! Wish I would've known that before signing up!!! Now I'm sure they'll flood me with Spam that don't even apply to me cause THEY ARE NOT IN MY AREA!😕
Easy and awesome service that is always on time.
They don't know how to separate whites from colors, so brace yourself for ruined white shirts. We also got our laundry lost on the 2nd time we used this service. Would not recommend for folks who wants their clothing being properly handled.

cleanly nearly ruined my trip by randomly changing the drop-off time.
Delivery is consistently late after multiple complaints, deliveries randomly rescheduled to different days with no warning, and drivers not delivering or picking up from door.
Always punctual and great service. Never had an issue!

Seemed like it would be really useful, I downloaded it to use my buildings lockers for this app, but no matter how many time I type, retype, double and triple check it won't accept any of my cards as a payment method. Just says error try again. I have a feeling it's because my name is hyphenated but I really can't see any other reason it's failing. I've closed and restarted the app, and the help chat doesn't actually let you type your problem or connect you with a real person
