CLEAR

This is a scam, and completely useless. Avoid it at all costs. The free version will get you in to a conference or whatever you need it for, with no screening of your current state of health. At the airport they may have you sign up for a different version which they will activate for "free". One week later you will be charged $100+ if you don't unsubscribe in time.

Frustrating experience It took 5 attempts to finish setting up an account before it finally stopped bugging out to the apps home screen and would let me proceed to complete the process. The very first time I click to show the QR code for my data, up pops an obnoxious prompt to rate the app. Well, at this point I have to say the app sucks.

this is a very frustrating experience. it does not support the driver's licenses that it says it supports, for whatever reason you cannot select a file while scanning a QR code. You cannot enter hyphens on names. and at the end of the process, I had to manually enter my vaccination data because it did not read my booster from the smart QR code. a very disappointing experience

Garbage. How annoying that this is forced upon you for an event. Doesn't even upload, find, can't add kids, fonts/text overlap. Sorry you are here possibly annoyed too. The customer service line asked me to Uninstall then add again. Only to wipe my info clean and I had to start over. But alas, the same issues are present. Main issue is fonts/text overlap, so i can't even see what I am doing. Oh final rant, no desktop version. 🤬 Android user

The App won't save or recognize my password, so I have to login via the internet and can't get past the Profile page. The app hasn't been working for a few days (even with updating), it won't open properly, sits idle on the Clear page.

Actually garbage. Trying to take a picture of myself and it'll not only take a minute trying to find a good distance and have good centering, it will then say that it could not verify. This happened multiple times. It went downhill after that not even letting me attempt to add my vaccination record displaying "error, please try again later". Last it's password mechanism is actually stupid as it requires you to wait 15 minutes before you can use "forget my password" with stupid restrictions.

So much easier than pulling out my card and ID. Used to keep a photo of both (in the same photo) and that was pretty quick but with this app, I skipped the line and they just look at the pic and wave me in. Not sure how much it will be needed now but it's super easy for places that still require it.

the camera function is absolute trash. I had to take a picture of the back of my license at least 30 times. load times are extremely slow. but I suppose it is a convenient app.

All of the data required is already available in MyChart by Epic or similar. Re-keying data is an invitation to contribute errors to an already error-prone system of records. Creating your own data base is not the correct solution, its the easy solution - do the hard word of integrating across platforms - do we really need to legislate everything?

Absolutely trash. Standing in line for the TSA is less painful than trying to get this app setup. Customer service is a zero here too. Words are covered up by the "buttons" you have to click. I feel for anyone who HAS to use this app. Probably the worst part is the fact that you have to ask to delete your account and then will review your request to delete it.

Doesn't work. Cannot get it accept photo of photoID - drivers license or passport - both as-new. Tried online chat. First thought I was under-age, then it was the OS, then the ID. If you're a major company, at least provide something that works.

very cumbersome in both scanning ID and self photo. repeatedly requested to increase light or reduce glare. much better to have been able to do this on my laptop where I could have scanned documents on a single try. wasted over 40 minutes using this "app".

Quite possibly the worst app I've ever used. We have an event this coming Saturday that requires us to use this app. The event pass somehow 'expired' before the event even started! Now I can't get the app to renew the pass and now I learn that it can't verify my daughter! Customer support was pathetic, basically saying 'there's nothing I can do'. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT install this app.

I downloaded this app to easily share my vax info with a temporary employer. For some reason, CLEAR wants access to my ENTIRE medical history. They don't need it. It's unnecessary, and a breach of privacy. Opt to take the picture of your card instead. Better yet, encourage your employer to use a different app.

Oops, something went wrong when they developed this app! This app so far is hot garbage! Spent an hour and a half trying to get registered and I'm still not!!! The app takes 10 tries for each side of the drivers license but finally gets past that. Then takes a picture of my face and then says oops something went wrong... Over, and over, and over. Can't go past it so have to start over every time only to have the same result... Maybe maybe spend some time making the app actually work!!!!!!!!

This app sucks. Instead of letting me register as a new user I had to reset a password I never created. Then I had to take a photo, but it requires a small verification code, but that service wasn't working and just said over and over an error has occurred. The process and interface is very clunky and not user friendly at all.

Just loaded the app and it seems to be in infancy. It took me forever to find the sign out button. It has two main profile screens one if you're a member and one that is not, which should not come up if you're already enrolled in Clear. The designers appear to have made a lot of large graphics to make up for very little substance at this point.

after a long gap between uses, I had to manually update and then sign out and turn off wifi to get it to work again. once working, it's great!

I gave up. I wanted to upload my vaccine card and had a lot of problems just trying to get the app to take pictures of my ID. I was either too close or too far away. The app couldn't validate the barcode on the back. I finally "continued with this picture" but it couldn't recognize my face for verification. This is honestly just not worth the hassle.

The ID scanning software is a joke. It is unable to detect my ID on a perfectly flat surface with even light levels, and would only accept an image with the ID far from the camera and difficult to read. It took me about 20 minutes just to get it to accept a photo of my ID. Furthermore, there is no option to upload a photo of vaccine cards, which is an issue since many travelers do not carry their physical vaccine card, but a photo of it. Extremely frustrating app to use.

app seems to work very well. so far so good. the company's billing practice and constantly being wrong on amounts charged or delta membership discounts or early adopters discounts or which card to bill to is so so very annoying. I think the company is trying to scam you via fees and renewal charges. So very UNCLEAR at all when it comes to membership.

It simply hasn't allowed me to take a picture for this. I've deleted the app,installed it..... nothing. It keeps saying ooops.. something went wrong, please try again later ( for a month)

Very frustrating process to get an accepted photo of my ID. Then I got stuck in an endless "Retry" loop. finally got through it but what should have been a five minute process took over half an hour.

Cant confirm Vaccine status even when probided exact details and a copy of SMART digital ID. Blocks screenshots of the app. A terrible experience you're forced to use when a venue requires it.

This is a fantastic app for traveling. I wouldn't go anywhere near Denver, Colorado without this Clear app

Pro: simple to setup & user friendly app. Con: registered covid vaccine status ahead of time for comic con but says expires in 8 days so guess I'll have to redo again last minute?

Seemed to work as instructed. Easy to upload all info necessary. If you have all information gathered, would take less than 5 minutes.

Went through a bunch of steps, uploading ID, taking a picture and filling out a bunch of info, only to be given a generic error message preventing me from creating an account. Also, the system doesn't accept '-' in names, which is just dumb.

Not really sure what the benefit to Clear is anymore, when I am exexpected to go through the regular security lines to be body-scanned and take my shoes and belt off and empty out all my bags and be subjected to arrogant and rude TSA agents along with everyone else.

Extremely invasive EULA and privacy policy. Make sure you read the terms agree with them before registering with the app. Also the app will let you go through a good part of the setup before it notifies you that you can only use the app for people 18 or over. App can be buggy, throwing ambiguous errors when you need to use it making it only partially effective.
