ClearLock: block distractions!

I upgraded to Pro so that I could schedule lock sessions. I added a scheduled lock session for later in the day but it started the session right away. After I restarted my phone it did the same thing, started the scheduled lock session even though it was not within the session time I specified. Pretty frustrating. I will have to find a different app. *edit* Now it is blocking apps even though I deleted the scheduled session and do not have a lock session active. Uninstalling.

Pro version is defective. I paid for the pro version purely to be able to set timed lock-outs. I usually apply a 90min lock-out in the morning but at the end of the period, it often locks out for a further 90mins and occasionally at random. I had a scheduled lock-out from 7:00am to 8:30am today and the phone had continually cycled through lock-outs since then. My phone has been unusable for seven hours now and all because of this app.

It is an Awesome application, but, from my point of view, I think 2 things should be edited. 1- The timer should be longer. 12 hours are not enough, I need 4 months until I finish my exams. 2- Add the option to make different locks simultaneously, I mean I need to lock an app for 12 hours, and I need to lock the other for only half an hour or so, so I either will lock both for half an hour and then lock the first again, or I should lock both for 12 hours. So please take these suggestions in recognition.

the apps that I blocked still work completely well when I use them by pop-up view. My device is Galaxy Tab A, SM-T580. Plus, the lock still can be bypassed by pulling down the notification panel as another user has mentioned before. This app should completely prevent the blocked apps from opening. And it would be great if it limits my wifi connection while locking. Thanks, and please fix those errors as soon as possible.

Don't know if this is possible, but blocking messenger apps goes from convenient to tortuous as soon as i see a notification and I can't reply to it. I'll go as far as distracting myself, thinking about how I'll reply juuuust as soon as I get the messenger back. Maybe I should have more self control, but for an app trying to kill distractions, going this extra mile would sell me on pro version (even if scheduling doesn't work yet)

I have adhd, so I get distracted easily. This app blocks apps that I want to block. It just works. I wish that it closed apps faster. HOWEVER, it can be bypassed by pulling down the notification shade immediately after clicking on the app. Please fix this. Otherwise I'm surprised this doesn't have more downloads. Great job!

I tried the other popular app like this one called Quality Time, and it was glitchy and made it really hard to use the parts of my phone I actually wanted access to. Clear Lock hasn't been glitchy for me at all and does exactly what I want in blocking tempting apps like YouTube and Instagram while my phone still works perfectly on all other levels and features. This app's seriously made me so much more productive. I'd recommend it to anyone.

My first review was 4 stars, then the schedule started acting strange and I lowered to three. Well now it's completely off, it's almost like the schedule gets shifted a few minutes every day, just getting worse and worse. Also, when I added a second schedule neither of them worked, no lock at all. I've tried clearing out my settings, reinstalling the app, etc, nothing had fixed it for more than a day or two. If the schedule is what you want, look elsewhere.

Do not upgrade, whatever you do. The advanced scheduling functionality does not work, as other users have pointed out. It works fine if you do a manual block. But the scheduling feature is not linked up to any blocking capability for some reason. It just isn't. I went through all the possible options...trust me. It's just not a finished, working feature, but they're charging for it.

Basic version is pretty good. The pro feature widget is not functioning well. I am unable to set the time when starting from widget, it seems to use a different setting than starting from within app. And it is reentrant, i.e. after a while, the widget can be pushed again, and I could have two ClearClock timers running at the same time, which is nonsense.

Love the free version but like many others have said the paid version isn't working as it should. An hour after my scheduled time is up and it still says I have another hour to go. It was cheap so I didn't read the warnings first but I definitely should have.

Free version worked well, wanted to get more productive by scheduling sessions so it would automatically be on during my working hours but it sometimes turns on and sometimes doesn't. At first I thought it might think it was a different day, now I just think it doesn't work right. Don't upgrade to pro, it doesn't work.

As many users have said — automatic schedule doesn't really work. When I open the app it says that "It is time to focus", but all the apps that are supposed to be locked are available to open. If I lock manually it works fine, but damn, if you're charging money for the feature — maybe it should be tested better?

Uh I don't know whether it's my phone or the app but it shuts down my Chrome even when it wasn't ticked in the list of apps to lock. Also, Clash of Clans and a lot of other apps can still be accessed even though I had checked them to be locked.

Works well, but it does automatically select some apps (Skype, messaging) so be aware that you may not have 100% control over every app that shuts down. Also allows for notifications during lock out, which would be nice to be able to turn off. For now I'm using it in tandem with another blocking app (that one is too easy to unlock but it silences notifications) for the level of "quiet" I need.

it keeps saying "give permission" even though I've already gone to settings and done that. Please fix now.

Amazing, it helps me with my revision as i use quizlet and with this app, it helps me not to use youtube or my games. It help me to focus. A few things you should add is able to add breaks so for example is after 30 minutes you could have 10 minutes break to check social media or play some games etc, Another thing is once the time is up you should add a alarm to tells us it over. So i know that i could add more time or have a break. Overall this is a amazing app and would recommend to people who wants to revise but for people who gets bored easily. (I make it 5 stars if you add the features i suggested).

If you want save yourself from destroying your life due to distractions caused by YouTube, Chrome or any app for that matter, this is it. It's for FREE. It saved me from becoming a complete failure in life. May you guy achieve better success. The only thing is if you could make the app more interactive. Thank you so much

If there is a notification from a blocked app and I pull down from the top of the screen, then view the full preview, ClearLock will get confused and constantly try to close EVERY app I open after that. If I pull down again and dismiss the notification, it stops until I go to lock screen...at which point it closes any app that was active prior to locking the screen as soon as I unlock. Have to restart to clear that problem.

Like others I'm finding the scheduler doesn't always work right (I haven't tried the widget). That's really too bad since I was using it to block all but basic/critical apps for the 2nd half of every hour, to keep me from wasting too much time on my phone. At least it's very easy to use, and has a clean simple interface.

I'm still being bothered but if you have more then one launcher and haven't set a default one, it can be gotten rid of temporarily. Just tap on the background of the app notice, hope it is taken care of in the next update.

Need something. Very easy to use. I really need need this app because of my clash of clans game i have a habit to do attract so I try to control myself but it's not work so I found this app. BUT THERE IS A PROBLEM we can block a app for max 12 hours I need in days make a opinion for 5 days pls do a update fast. Literally doesn't work. I blocked Instagram and a few other apps for the day and was still able to open all of them. Samsung s8 active

Excellent app, but it isn't picking up some of my installed apps and therefore automatically blocks them (Skype is one). It's also locking Android Pay even though it picks it up in my app list and it isn't checked. Hope to see this fixed soon!

I like how this app is different from the others that we can block the apps whenever we want. But the problem is that is kept coming out "ClearLock give permission". So I pressed "Give Permission" but then it ended up stating that my Setting has stopped. Its ok I just continued every time but I came to a realisation when I clicked on the app that is blocked it just let me continued using it as if that I did not blocked the app. I hope this can be fixed or maybe someone had this problem before could help me out?

Works okay, but I think the app would be better if it also blocjedt the entire notification and LED light. I still get distracted by the light even if vibrate/sound is off.

This app was wonderful until it just stopped adhering to the schedules. My daily morning schedule is completely ignored and my every Monday schedule is randomly applied on non-Mondays. Happens even on a new phone. Real shame since I really loved this app.
