There is ways something wrong with the app like not being able to load full articles to now, not being able to read articles because of graphics. Words are overlaying each other and the back color is black with different font colors.
This newer version is awful. It's slow and is always freezing up or jumping to a different story. I'm an ex-Clevelander and really want to stay in touch but this is really testing my patience!
something happened as individual said below. all articles are black boxes with unreadable overlapping blue letters. an app that was me go to for Cleveland news is now trash I've since deleted.
Welp! Nothing good last forever. Pretty soon the Plain Dealer will be obsolete & so will this app. Because nobody will want to pay to read certain articles. Besides that, the update & new format looks good but it does have less articles.
It was my go to app. Not anymore. All stoties load on a black illegible screen. It's been like this for a week now. I think Im going to uninstall and try another local news app.
This app is about 5 years out of date, the articles are poorly organized. It looks like they invested zero thought and resources into it.
Almost everytime I start reading a story the app closes itself within a minute. Why am I paying $ 100.00 a year for subscriber content if I can't finish a news article ?
Articles now unreadable, just a black box and overlapping text. Can only read headlines so am deleting.
App has been a great go to source for Brown's , a step above of the Brown's own website, and posted 5 star satisfaction in 2019. Today I post extremely dissatisfied as most articles and media casts are teases and not availble unless you have a subscription. It feels like desperate extortion. Deleted App, who cares..Go Brown's.
App gave me notifications even when all notifications are turned off. Additional battery drain noticed. Uninstalled. Bye bye
Every morning I go on this site & I can't open up anything it runs very slow & my phone gets very Hot! Needs to be fixed.. Pete.
The new version doesn't cover my area in community news at all like the old versions. I now have to rely on social media to find out what is going on.
App now has black background in body making text garbled and unreadable!!
Installed twice...only got a blank screen...uninstalled ❌️
Iy causes my LGV35 to lockup. I have to force restart-reboot.

Way too few free articles. Search feature is a joke. Terrible app overall.
april 2016: Always slow to load and refresh with new stories. Also downgrading now to 1 star as it doesn't allow me to move app to SD storage. march 2019. downgraded to one star. always something wrong. this time whole articles of text being displayed on a black background with unstrucured paragraps making reading impossible. also some lists and stories dont load in full on the app forcing you to navigate to the main site if you want to read that article.
This is a step backwards since the update! The font is way too small and not size adjustable and the layout looks much less professional without the quick view slides. I frequently visited the old style but I can't stand using it now. Please fix it!
