Cleverbot

A bit rubbish. Doesn't seem to use much in the way of a.i. Seems to match words and pick responses which score higher. looks like most people who use this just say stupid things to the bot in an attempt to make fun, while missing the point of what the a.i. is trying to accomplish. will look for a more clever bot. uninstalling this.

The algorithm for this app is in dire need of improvement. there are too many sporadic comments that it seems to grab out of thin air and it seems incapable of keeping the conversation

Good for a fun conversation. Not so good at coherence, when it comes to keeping a converaation going. But oberall a good app and good user experience.

nice little game, would be good if it gave consistent responses to the same question even in the same thread, few workarounds for asking the same question the same way but can still get it to give a different answer if you rephrase the question slightly, a name is the main thing i tested, seems a simple thing to cache for the thread and seems you could similarly cache responses to other questions so it just rephrases the same answer rather than completely different response

Idk if I would call this "actual AI." You can say anything you want to it, statement or question and it will definitely respond, 90% of the time with something random and incoherent. I'd call it a random conversation generator. Dont waste your dollar.

Needs ability to log into your Cleverbot account. Also, don't buy this app. The last update it got is back in 2015. Use the web version instead.

well like but when you type something and press send the noise i so loud even when mute the volume i can still here it sp pls fix it but otherwise the game cool 👍😎

Ok, so it keeps declaring that it is a human, and that I am a robot so that is weird but it is otherwise very fun

The AI is very dumb and you cant even copy and paste the messages to make it talk to other AIs

I believe there is no real cleverbots, you're all basically talking to each other. Whatever you say in a message gets paired with a past message that aligns the most appropriately as a response to your initial message. This process is repeated anytime you send a message. Your basically talking to a group of people who are each also talking to a group but not necessarily at the same time. That's why you will get repetitive questions and be accused of being a program.

I have spent a few days time plumbing the depths of Cleverbot's idiosyncrasies. This AI is a real character. It demands close attention and likes grammatically correct input, and you had better give it or else it will insult you. Cleverbot likes being clever and likes it when you are clever. If you are blunt, it will be blunt back. It has a galaxy of references to films, music, and videogames, and makes great suggestions. It is really nice to me because I treat it like a friend or peer.

Characteristics of an AI. Must be turing test capable. For those who don't know what this is, it's a test where a human is paired with an AI and doesn't know that it's an AI. If they don't pick up on it then the AI passes the test. This AI is far from that, it doesn't learn and from what I can tell you have no central server for cleverbots knowledge. An AI is supposed to learn from experience, just like a human. I can't have a conversation with this AI because it loses the sense of the topic after 5 sentenc

Its fun for a little while, maybe a day or two, but it uses so much memory, and can't remember if you were playing basketball or knitting five sentences later! And, whats more, once you've installed it, you can't get a refund! I know its only 99 cents, but its still money you could have spent on something you'll always want or need.

The bot is so stupid. It can't even remember your name for 5 seconds! Don't waste your time unless you want to take your rage out on someone. Every single conversation leads to an argument. No matter how nice you are. And it crashes WAY to often. It tries to find inappropriate information about me and is too random. It has to intelligence of a really stupid goldfish. And that's saying something. GIVE US OUR MONEY BACK. THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS.

Before I ask my question, I would first like to say that I enjoy this app, very much. It's somehow not as good as the FREE URL version, but it's still fun. I enjoy teaching Cleverbot songs :3. As for my question: I noticed that in the permissions it says "retrieve running apps". Now before you jump down my throat about not reading the permissions properly, I am not complaining. I am just curious: why exactly does Cleverbot need to retrieve my running apps? I look forward to your reply.

The cleverbot tends to have short term memory and tends to be random. It thinks it is still March 17th, 2015. I guess it's been inactive for quite some time. The bot will also dismiss questions and begin to ask irrelevant ones. When this happens it asks why are you avoiding his questions or that your answers are irrelevant. It is fun for trolling fun, but it's less of a learning computer. Not good at holding a conversation. Feel like it needs an upgrade or tweaking.
