Limited Settings. It would be great if there was any other gesture options to activate clip player.

You have to sacrifice the Google Now app which opens from the home key which is a shame. If you were able to open from other places then this would be my go to app . Universal copy allows you to do the same as this app without using the home key, opening from the notification shade. If the developer would write that extra bit of code for the screenshot ect ect, then it would be possible to use a button mapping app to open this app from elsewhere . My ideal place would be the notification shade.

This app is useful if you don't use Google Assistant. Some suggestions: (1) Tasks and icon next to Tasks do the same thing, so merge them; (2) also merge Email and Share since email is one of the sharing methods.

Great concept. Only issue is it doesn't work with Opera Mini browser. It scans but doesn't detect the text regions, etc. Same with UC Mini browser. Must be something to do with how those browsers are rendering text, but that's the reason I installed this App in the first place. I hope the devs can fix this. Kudos so far.

I love the concept but there's no way people are going to give up all the functionality of Google Assistant for an app that does copy/paste/share, no matter how great it is. If you could recode it so I can have both you will have the perfect app.

Was excited to try this out, but it apparently either can't catch text from Instagram or won't catch text in a language other than English. I follow some non-English pages on Instagram and thought I'd be able to pull quick translations by copying the text. Nope. It won't even detect most of the text in screen in Instagram.

Used to work OK, but now I can't clip parts on a PDF, which is a joke. You also can't configure a hot key to trigger it. It's either the Home Key or nothing, which interferes with Google Search action. Uninstalling till they work out the bugs.

For the way I clip this is pretty useless. It is either all or nothing. I usually only want a word or short phrase. I can't do that with this app.

Hello there, just downloaded the above.Its very helpful as I am dyslexic,thanks :-) What's the best way to now take a screenshot as the home button option is no longer available?  Google HTC Nexus 9 Nougat 7.0. PS the power/volume simultaneously thing does not work...  Your thoughts. 

Works okay I guess but didn't at all for a certain site I originally wanted to use this app for. For a different site, it worked but the screen was cluttered with selection boxes.

All oky,bt starting the app option is not oky. removed google assistance nd use this, not good at all i want to use it side by side

Would be a five-star without this problem (I don't care about Google Now functionality): Running a Google Pixel 128GB After I shut off the phone and restart the press and hold “home” button feature is somehow broken. Instead of launching Clip Layer it launches nothing (a big blank circle appears then nothing). I have to run Clip Layer as an application once again and it acts like it has never run before and it as if I am re-installing it. Then it runs fine again until I power off my phone.

I was searching fr copy text application..at last I got that from microsoft, I appreciate Microsoft over your effect..Thank you Microsoft

Works great to select text in apps where it might not be available otherwise. I like using it with built in Samsung clipboard to copy several pieces at once.

There are several tweaks you can add in . There are many in my mind working since i used portable file mangers . But this is a great work .

It was working before with Instagram description no I can't copy anything hope its fixed soon thanks Microsoft much love

This app is way faster working if you don't have internet. I don't google assistance because it consumes data and time.

Disappointing app from Microsoft. Doesn't work as claimed. Needs a lot more work. It's not capturing all the written part. In fact sometimes almost 90% text goes unrecognized. Not worth downloading.

Doesn't allow you to select words but rather random blocks of words. Using Samsung S8+.

Pretty decent except clip layer covers the bottom portion of the screen with its own menu so you can't copy text from the bottom...

I have the Google pixel xl, and i dont want to waste the Google assistant even thought i love this app. Please give the option to trigger it using long press on the back button on a permanent option in the notification shade

Since it is called an Assistant it should be able to do better and more things. I know of an app, "Universal Copy" that does pretty much the same but isn't called an Assistant. Not worth it to have this over Google as the Assistant

It's great and does quite well in its early stages. Other applications are on play store for quite some time and this has made a great entry.

Use the hold back button to launch it. It will be good and the back button will be able to be in use in this way

Long press on the home button still opens a Google search. Uninstalled.

I changed the assist key to clip layer, but it keeps on changing back to google assist after few minutes. What to do.

Every time when my phone restarts I have to again add this app as an assistant to my home . Please go through this bug

This app has great potential. The only thing I dislike about it is its request to be my device default assistance.
